Abortion: Shocking Sale of Body Parts…

Abortion: Shocking Sale of Body Parts…

The undercover videos revealing the sale of the body parts of aborted babies by Planned Parenthood in the USA, have shocked viewers across the world.  At 3.23 on the above video, you can see a very interesting interview on USA Fox News, which includes clips from the  videos.  For more details on this scandal, click here

Should these doctors be sacked?  Should the American Government withdraw funding from Planned Parenthood? Or what?  Comments invited.

I saw this interview with the Republican presidential hopeful when it was first broadcast and thought at the time that she was very courageous–for a politician–in her remarks about the kind of society America has become.

Attitudes to abortion must be one of the most reliable moral barometers there are. And not just in America, but in the West generally, the needle is stuck on ‘infifferent’.

I remember a relative of mine going as a teenager to holiday with relatives in the U.S. It must have been about 1975, give or take a year. Well, this teenage girl came back utterly scandalized by the fact that a girl she had met had gone for an abortion in her lunch hour. It would be hard to imagine such a reaction today when abortion is seen as a quintessential affirmation of womanhood.

This was demonstrated to me in another case of which I had direct knowledge a few years ago. A couple in their thirties, after years of cohabitation, discover that she is pregnant. He wants them to get married and have the baby. She says she wants an abortion. They go together for a medical interview which is the formal preliminary to the abortion itself. As providence would have it, they have an appointment with a lady Catholic doctor who tries to disuade the girl from her planned course. She, with the girl’s consent, effects an ultrason of the foetus in the boy’s presence, showing them its various features, including the beating heart. (N.B., this is not Scotland, but a traditionally Catholic country in Europe.) The boy is reinforced in his desire to keep the baby. The girl is unpersuaded and goes through with the abortion. A month later they had split up, the girl having left to pursue her career overseas with a new boyfriend she met on Facebook.

We have to face the fact that there is big amorphous blob out there of people who have the moral sensitivity of a rhinoceros hide. The read the tabloids, worship the NHS, are happy for the BBC to tell them what to think and to soothe such twinges of conscience (precious few, if truth be told) of which they are still capable, and have long ago given up seeking any meaning to life beyond the salivating grunt of immediate sensory gratification, be it from food, sex, alcohol or drugs. This is the type of society you get when God is banished, faith viewed as a moronic throw back to the middle ages (whatever they were), and public morality no more than a political fiat to be decided on a show of hands after a severe pummelling by the mass media.

This, folks, is the bottom line. This is where the West is at, where a baby can be varously ripped or sucked out of its mother’s womb with its mother’s approval, and where society not only pays for the procedure but lauds said mother as affirming her womanhood.

Is there any way out of this? None bar wholesale conversion. And it is about to get worse. Assisted suicide will lead inexorably to the involuntary euthanasia of the elderly and chronically sick. This will take place under the guise of quality of life, but it will be really about saving money.

    Welcome to the new barbarism.

      Prognosticum,

Yes, where God is “banished”, as you say, society ends up being nihilistic – not knowing right from wrong.

When abortion was legalised in the UK in 1967, the “slippery slope” argument was dismissed and the idea that euthanasia would follow, was greeted with horror.
Well, thanks to a reader up north who alerted me to this morning’s Radio Scotland discussion/phone in on the topic of (not to put too fine a point on it) the right to kill oneself, it is clear that we have reached the next logical point on that slippery slope. The majority of callers were in favour, praising the woman in the news (her name escapes me at the moment) who took herself off to that diabolical clinic in Switzerland, not because she had any deadly disease, but “just in case” – she wanted to go when she was able-bodied etc. Chilling.

And it was truly chilling watching those video clips of the doctors discussing the price of the various body parts of the aborted babies – there are no prizes for guessing what will happen when euthanasia comes to town officially (as it will, no doubt about it, legal euthanasia is a foregone conclusion). I’m no expert on the subject, so not sure if there is any market for the body parts of old people.

It is truly incredible that Obama is refusing to de-fund Planned Parenthood while investigating the group who made the videos to discover if what they did was legal or not! This is a variation of the stories of men who have tackled burglars, only to find themselves under investigation for alleged assault! Incredible stuff.

There are a number of horrendous undercover videos, but this one takes some beating.

      Note:
there is very disturbing viewing at around 8.39. concluding with “another boy!” Totally shocking to see these medical professionals apparently devoid of any conscience.

One of my older sisters was training to be a nurse when the Abortion Act was passed in 1967. She said that, at first, all the promised safeguards were in place but by the time she finished her training, most of them had been eroded. For example, 2 doctors were supposed to take the decision along with the pregnant woman, but in fact it was a cosmetic exercise. Often, at the end of the doctors’ shifts, they would come in and sign the form without even checking it.

My sister retired in 2012 and by then, abortion was virtually on demand and even up to full term in the case of handicap.

What a world we live in!

What is equally shocking is the lack of coverage by the liberal media. We are in strange times when the killing of A lion is more newsworthy than the slaughter of babies.
How many people have heard of Kermit Gosnell who was found guilty of killing babies after the babies were born alive and was probably the largest serial killer in American history. The seats reserved for the press were almost totally empty. Each day that passes seem to bring worse atrocities I fear a chastisement may not be to far away.

I can’t remember reading about him, but then the UK media is not reporting this scandal of Planned Parenthood selling body parts of aborted babies either – not even the fact that, as this latest video shows, they are even willing to sell “intact” babies: it’s horrendous to see the arm/hand being placed in the dish. Truly shocking stuff and shame on the UK media for apparently participating in the cover-up. I mean, surely they don’t think this is not important enough to report? They must know about it…

The UK media is too busy worrying about the killing of Cecil the Lion to care about the sale of human body parts from aborted babies.

John I heartily agree with you about the chastisement and don’t we deserve it!

What have we come to when an inane woman can discuss this subject about baby body parts with not a grain of compassion or shame and a fixed grin on her face.

An article about the attempt to suppress the videos made by the CMP

    By Jonathan Abbamonte
Planned Parenthood’s alleged undercover sale of fetal body parts is making abortion
advocates desperate. They know that for-profit participation in fetal organ
trafficking is indefensible in the public eye, so instead of engaging the debate, they
    are attempting to silence it.
A series of videos produced by the Centre for Medical Progress (CMP), giving the
public an inside look into Planned Parenthood’s grisly abortion business, have
garnered over 5.7 million views. They have sparked on going investigations of
Planned Parenthood in Congress and in 9 states including: Georgia, Texas, Ohio,
Louisiana, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Arizona Gov.
Doug Ducey has placed an emergency state wide ban on the sale of fetal tissue.
Stem Express, the for-profit company that allegedly acted as the middleman for
Planned Parenthood’s alleged organ harvesting practice, is beginning to feel
pressure from an outraged American public.
On Wednesday, Stem Express filed a lawsuit against CMP with the Los Angeles
Superior Court, accusing them of violating wiretapping laws. The judge placed a
restraining order on CMP, preventing them from releasing any videos featuring
high-ranking Stem Express officials until a hearing on August 19th.
A statement released by David Daleiden, founder of CMP, responded to the court
    order saying:
Stem Express…is attempting to use meritless litigation to cover-up this illegal baby
parts trade, suppress free speech…their initial petition was rejected by the court,
and their second petition was eviscerated to a narrow and contingent order…The
Center for Medical Progress follows all applicable laws in the course of our
investigative journalism work and will contest all attempts from Planned
Parenthood and their allies to silence our First Amendment rights and suppress
    investigative journalism.
Only hours after the Court issued its order against CMP, yet another video surfaced,
this time featuring Dr. Savita Ginde, Vice President and Medical Director of
Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains.
Referring to the procurement and sale of fetal tissue, Ginde explains, “If you have
someone in a really anti state that’s going to be doing this for you, they’re probably
    going to get caught.”
“He’s got it figured out,” Ginde says, speaking about her attorney, “that he knows
that even if, because we talked to him in the beginning, you know, we were like, ‘We
don’t want to get called on,’ you know, ‘selling fetal parts across states.’”
The shocking videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s abortion business have even
garnered attention overseas. In Ireland, Independent TD Mattie McGrath called on
Irish Family Planning Association (IFPA), the International Planned Parenthood
Federation (IPPF) affiliate in Ireland, to distance itself from IPPF. McGrath
demanded that IFPA clarify its position on fetal organ harvesting.
“The IFPA…must immediately condemn these actions and make it explicitly clear
that it does not support the manipulation of abortion procedures for the purposes of
maximizing monetary profit by trading in human body parts,” McGrath wrote in a
    statement on his website.
Sean Cardinal O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston and Chairman of the Committee on
Pro-Life Activities of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), released a
statement, declaring that abortion and fetal organ harvesting “fail to respect the
humanity and dignity of human life.”
As more details about the sordid abortion industry are made public, some
Republicans in Congress are taking steps to ensure taxpayers aren’t footing the bill
for Planned Parenthood. Last Tuesday, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), joined by
cosponsors Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), introduced
S.1881, a bill which would prohibit Planned Parenthood from receiving any federal
funding. If passed, this bill would defund Planned Parenthood indefinitely, not just
for a one year period as a previous bill had proposed.
Sen. Ernst’s bill takes the funding that would have gone to Planned Parenthood and
instead puts it towards clinics providing real health care for women. S.1881
specifies that funding should continue to be made available for health centers
offering services such as breast cancer screenings, prenatal and postnatal care, and
    immunizations.
Planned Parenthood receives over $500 million dollars every year in federal
funding. Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America,
    performing 327,653 abortions last year.
The Senate will vote today on the bill to defund Planned Parenthood. A few
moderate Democrats and Republicans have not yet indicated how they will vote on
the measure. Call your Senators now and tell them to defund Planned Parenthood
    today.

    Lord have mercy on us.
Back to basics and the Fatima Crusade- say the rosary, wear the scapula and do penance and keep reminding the pope to do as Our Lady asked at Fatima.

Prognosticum : you have painted the full dismal picture but there must be some hope left even though it does all seem so terrible.

The doctor haggling over price looks very uncomfortable. I think her conscience must be bothering her. The blonde woman from Emily’s List is a slippery customer. I wouldn’t trust her at all.
The whole thing is shocking, and it is also shocking that the Government are refusing to defund Planned Parenthood.

What I’m wondering is, does this happen in the UK?

It is shocking. Abortion has been made into financial business. Dead aborted babies for harvesting their body parts for financial gain.

isn’t it more than tragically sad when the albeit obnoxious ,vile and down right cruel recent spate of killing African wildlife can literally shake the whole World into a frothing frenzy ranging from petitions to slaying the slayer s…yet hearing about about poor HUMAN BABIES already killed in a variety of heinous ways for a fat wad of cash of course .. then having their little body parts haggled over to the highest bidder !!!!…However this also turns the whole abortion argument on its ugly head because if pre born children are not classed as Human or living… a shapeless blob of nothingness then how can identifiable organs be up for grabs that are not from a Human source ????? a bunch of random cells suddenly becomes an organ grower ..it only adds to the insanity of the abortionists .
As for does it happen here ?…..there must be a way of finding out

      Wendy Walker,

It is tragic indeed and so true.

Whether or not it happens here I do not know. But if it isn’t the way things are the UK might not be so far behind what is happening in the USA.

Indeed the UK is not far behind USA if whatever happened on Oct7th 2013 is anything to go by. Keir Starmer (Director of Public Prosecutions) failed to prosecute two doctors offering abortions based on gender.
Two days later the Attorney General asked to explain praised the DPP stating that doctors had a “great burden of responsibility in assessing the mental health impact on women of refusing a gender selective abortion.
When you consider most abortions are granted due to the ” mental health risk to the mother” The logical conclusion would be is there no limit to what constitutes a mental health risk.

Yes, everything is upside down. No reverence or compassion for human life and yet emotional claptrap about the violence towards animals (which shouldn’t happen) who literally tear each other to bits for food!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the above takes place in some of the abortion clinics in the UK.

The devil is indeed having it all his own way.

There are moves also to prevent people from praying outside abortion clinics and offering pavement counselling as they have successfully closed some of these centres in London. These vigils take place at various places and for anyone interested to help or join them, see website; http://www.goodcounselnetwork.com

Some good news on this topic – three States in the USA have withdrawn funding from Planned Parenthood – click here to read more

Note in the above report that “A total of 12 states have already launched an investigation including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana and members of Congress have launched an investigation as well.”

Disturbing as this video undoubtedly is, what it exposes is really just a logical extension of Planned Parenthood’s whole raison d’être which is of course to make money. While ideologically, they wholeheartedly support abortion, not too many of them would be so intimately involved in facilitating death on an industrial scale unless it was perceived as an excellent way to keep the dollars rolling in and any new ‘initiatives’ that result in an increase in revenue will be enthusiastically adopted, whether that be selling aborted babies’ body parts or who knows in the future, using them as aggregate to mix with cement or roasting them over open fires like the cannibalistic Aztecs. In fact, the Aztec example has practically been reached as one of the early stages of abortion consists in killing the baby slowly by burning its skin over the course of an hour. Even if Planned Parenthood’s $500m funding was withdrawn in one fell swoop, you can be certain that another organisation would swiftly come forward to claim that money while pledging to take an ‘ethical and responsible approach’ to their participation in the silent holocaust in our midst.

It’s noticeable also how abortion has given rise to some of the sickest oxymorons and misnomers in the English language – ‘abortion charity’ (‘charity’: the disposition to do good to others); ‘safe abortion’ (not for the baby it isn’t); ‘Planned Parenthood’ (where the ‘plan’ is actually to do anything (literally) to AVOID becoming a parent) and of course, it’s all perpetrated with the backing of each country’s respective ‘Department of Health’ (which is doing all it can to spread the Culture of Death). George Orwell was just a beginner really.

While on the subject, I came across a song released in the late 90’s which has been interpreted as being about abortion and is worth a listen in my humble…. It’s by a Bristol-based group called ‘Massive Attack’ and is emotively entitled ‘Teardrop on the Fire’. Though they’ve never confirmed one way or the other if it is about abortion, the underlying rhythm is unmistakably reminiscent of a heartbeat and the video features a baby still in the womb so it doesn’t take a genius to work it out. Moreover, the guest singer is Elizabeth Fraser who somewhat surprisingly considering her name, hails from Scotland (albeit on the east coast) -so what’s not to like?

I think the lack of comments on this blog compared to the others, shows how little Catholics care about abortion and even about the sale of aborted body parts. I suppose even so called traditionalists have become indifferent to this when they hear the pope saying “don’t obsess” over it. I’ve sent this line of discussion to a few “pro-lifers” hoping they’d come on here in shock, but no.

I am still as shocked as I was first time I saw the video interview and I’ve now watched it a couple more times. I do wonder if the people who kill these babies and sell their body parts, can possibly be saved. Obviously, if they repent, but I can’t help thinking that even then they will have a huge amount of purgatory to do.

Mea culpa, I’m one of those who did watch the interview and meant to comment. I could pretend that I couldn’t find the words, so dreadful is the whole thing, but that would be a lie. However, the words I’d like to say are all words that would end up having me banned from the blog, so I’d better just say that I agree with everyone on this – it is beyond the pale, and there’s no way in the world that Planned Parenthood should ever receive a dime of Government money again.

This is just incredible – the Catholic Church should work with Planned Parenthood (ostensibly to reduce abortions!) Notice the headline accepting that abortion is here to stay for the foreseeable future and imagine the uproar there would be, were anyone to headline an article that racism, or any of the other PC “isms” or “phobias” is here to stay for the foreseeable future (so, “get over it”).

Click here for this jaw-dropping approach to the pro-life apostolate… And, go on, admit it, you have to give them points for imagination, not to mention sheer nerve.
