From Trans-Gender To Trans-Species

From Trans-Gender To Trans-Species

MPs in the Westminster Parliament are demanding an end to “trans-phobia”.  Click here to read more

Seems they are referring only to people who want to change gender – i.e. men who want to become women and women who want to become men.  Watching the news reports and discussions about the subject yesterday, I couldn’t help wondering what would happen if someone decided they wanted to become a cat or a dog.  I resolved to post this thread and then, just for the record, decided to Google “trans-species” and to my utter astonishment discovered that there ARE people who “identify” as animals.  Nope, I’m not kidding. Take a few minutes to view the videos below and ask yourself why any apparently intelligent MP would class, as phobia, the kind of reasoned critical analysis of these desires to be a different gender and/or species.

Video 1 – a student who wants to live as a penguin

Note:  this video is no longer available – it was made private after posting…

Video 2 – a 48 year old who wants to live as a dog

See video above…

Comment:

Surely, MPs can’t ignore  trans-species “people” – that WOULD be discrimination: they’ve decided that anything goes these days, and so they have to see it through. What next?  From Trans-Gender to Trans-Species to… Paedophile rights to Bestiality rights? Why not. The same arguments apply as got the homosexual lobby their “rights”.

In any event, for the purposes of this discussion, am I “phobic”, or bigoted, because I do not accept this whole “trans” movement?  And am I being unreasonable by asking why the Pope and Bishops are not speaking out against these shocking aberrations?

In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder, and the shocking things mentioned in Editor’s leader to this thread have all stemmed from that. If homosexuality has been deemed not to be a disorder (although the Church has always taught that is exactly what it is), then it opens the floodgates for any other deviant thought pattern or behaviour to be classified as normal and natural.

Instead of helping these people to get the correct spiritual and psychiatric help, they are being encouraged to fulfil their bizarre fantasies, with awful consequences for themselves and society. The suicide rate among those who have so-called ‘sex changes’ is far higher than the average.

Also, while many call for ‘tolerance’ for those who undergo surgery in order to imitate members of the opposite sex, there is great intolerance towards people who have undergone such surgery and then publicly repented of it. Walt Heyer is one such example. Once a darling of the ‘LGBT’ movement, they soon turned on him when he became a Christian and renounced his ‘sex-change’. He now helps other people who have this problem and has two sites http://www.sexchangeregret.com and http://www.tradingmysorrows.com

      Westminster Fly,

“The suicide rate among those who have so-called ‘sex changes’ is far higher than the average.”

But don’t the “trans” people claim that the suicide rate is higher because they are discriminated against? How do you get round that?

I was astounded at the people in those videos. I really wondered if it was a spoof but no. It’s really hard to believe that anyone who put dog food in a bowl and kneel down to eat it like a dog does. Ugh!

I’ve read that people with same-sex attraction issues have a higher than average rate of suicide, but that this is also the case in countries which are very ‘gay-friendly’ or where so-called ‘homophobia’ wasn’t an issue, so this would suggest that other factors are involved, and so this could also be the case for people who have altered their appearance to resemble the opposite sex.

      Westminsterfly,

That 1973 vote by the APA was not the result of any scientific determination, but of an APA committee caving in to political pressure by homosexual radicals using disruptive in-your-face tactics. You can read about it here: http://www.blowthetrumpet.org/IsHomosexualityaMentalDisorder.htm

That is, these radicals knew that in order to achieve their alleged goal of “acceptance” (which was merely their foot in the door; the real goal is the destruction of Christian society and a return to paganism), they had to get “science” on their side first.

So I’m waiting for a similar tactic to be employed by the trans-gender radicals. One wonders (a) why people don’t just laugh these confused souls off the planet, and (b) as Editor wants to know, why our clergy haven’t spoken out against it.

Well, the answer to (b) is obvious: those clergy who are actually still our clergy are mostly living in fear of being punished for their orthodoxy. In the present Francis regime, or should I say carnage, the Church will never teach what she is called to teach regarding this. The Church will simply either be silent, or make vague references to it, or try to accept it through one of those so-called “Synods.” Or perhaps Francis will write a “trans-encyclical.”

One of the few places within the Church where you will hear true Catholic preaching about this Satanic madness is the SSPX – and they themselves, I believe, are just coming to grips with it.

I just found this – http://ncronline.org/news/vatican-says-sex-change-operation-does-not-change-persons-gender – so to be fair, it seems that the Vatican has spoken out against ‘transgenderism’ (although not loudly enough), but in my diocese, far from the bishop speaking out, he appoints people like Mgr Keith Barltrop to give pastoral care to those affected by this problem, when the Mgr clearly has little or no understanding of the moral principles involved. Read this article:- http://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/cdl.-vincent-nichols-to-expand-lgbt-ministry (I don’t like linking to Michael Voris’s website but I couldn’t find another link with the info on!)

That’s it, it’s the appointing someone to give these groups special “pastoral care” that gives the impression the Church is going along with this stuff.

I don’t think that the problem is appointing people to give spiritual help to those with psycho-sexual disorders – I think that the problem is appointing the wrong sort of people, i.e. those who are clueless about Catholic moral and doctrinal teaching, or who play it down in order to court popularity.

I’d like to propose a theme song for this sickness (ff to about 1 minute for the start of the music)…though I suppose nowadays the dancers would be called Fred Rogers and Ginger Astaire…

I love Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire films though it’s ages since I’ve seen one. They were fantastic. I suppose you suggest it for a theme song because of the “differences” they are talking about. It’s a bit weak but I think I get it – LOL!

I think Penguin Boy is a spoof; it doesn’t ring true to me, but if it is true they should suggest sending him back to his “home” in Antarctica and see how long he maintains his identity.

      Therese,

That’s what I thought but then I went through to the actual YouTube page and somebody else said the same but this reply was given:

“My brother goes to that high school. He’s not ….. with them. He actually truly believes that he’s a penguin…”

So, it looks like he really wants to be a penguin. I wonder why he wants to be a penguin rather than a dog or cat or budgie or whatever. You wonder what goes through their minds when they are deciding which animal to be.

Thank you for posting this, Editor. I like how Matt compares this to the whole assault on God’s creation. Our astonishingly sick society has denied God and now we are denying nature itself.

I have seen very little more pitiable than watching a grown man pretending to be a woman, dressed in female attire and, in many cases, even going as far as having their bodies mutilated. Arguably more pathetic is when everyone around them pretends to buy into this fantasy, even referring to them by female pronouns. It’s like the emperor’s new clothes, only real and even more ludicrous than invisible clothing that only super brainy people can see.

In the two videos at the start of this thread, we see how nutty this can get, and once upon a time I might have dismissed these as the ramblings of head cases, but now I despair that trans-speciesism may be the next new Emperor’s outfit. Why not? If we deny nature, then how far can we sink? I’m terrified of the answer to that. The 48 year old chap who wants to be a dog is clearly suffering from a mental health problem and I think the interviewer do recognise that. However, the student who pretends to believe he is a penguin is simply an argumentative and disruptive school child who could be dealt with easily by taking disciplinary measures and packing him back off to class. Instead, the school here has a meeting with psychologist and guidance teacher and whoever else so that they can all sit around and discuss his being a penguin and how school can accommodate this ridiculous waste of everyone’s time. All because we’re terrified of being called “phobic”. I despair for the future.

        Alex F,

Very well said, indeed. It is just amazing how true is your penultimate sentence. I just cannot believe that all the newsreaders, presenters of talk shows etc. really think this ‘trans’ business is acceptable. And it’s the 100 percent of newsreaders, presenters etc. that is so revealing. Are they ALL lacking moral fibre, not to mention independent thinking? Or is it a case of having to go along to get along, just to keep their jobs – quite likely.

One reason I posted the thread is because, as WF says at the top of the thread, it’s from the legalisation of homosexuality that all the rest stems. Even Catholic (so-called) schools now have staff, parents and pupils who think there’s nothing wrong with homosexuality and, the way things are going, that false tolerance will soon be extended to “trans” people (and animals!) Goodness, you really couldn’t make it up.

Having mentioned the Catholic school sector, I must ask for prayers for teachers, some known to me, who are being persecuted for their “homophobia” and – without doubt – “transphobia”. Any teacher promoting the teaching of the Church on this (i.e. God’s natural moral law) is reported by pupils, teachers, you name it, and find themselves in hot water for doing what they were employed to do – uphold and teach the Catholic religion.

Excellent post, Alex. Just don’t despair – the war (against evil) is won; we’re just fighting some major battles along the way.

      • Alex F

Thanks for that, Editor. I don’t really despair! If we can be trans-gender and trans-species, then why not trans-anything else? What about trans-ethnic? For instance, most people in Scotland where I live think I’m Irish because I was born in Ireland, I speak with an Irish accent and my skin is milk-bottle white except when I go on holiday when it turns bright red and starts peeling off. I’m actually a Zulu warrior, and I find it offensive that people don’t recognise this and accommodate my cultural sensitivities. Of course, I’ve never been to southern Africa, nor do I have any family connections to that part of the world, but that doesn’t seem to matter in the current climate.

        January 16, 2016 at 3:14 pm
      • editor

        Alex F,

        “What about trans-ethnic?”

You remind me of something my mother used to say to us when we were very young and she (Irish to her fingertips) used to tell us that we, too, were Irish and should always say that to people who asked. When I said, but how can we say we’re Irish when we were born in Glasgow, speak with Glaswegian accents, and have only been to Ireland for a holiday (on something like two short occasions at that time!) ?

My mother’s unforgettable reply: “Oh well, so you think because you were born in Scotland that makes you Scots? If you were born in a stable, would that make you a horse?” Am just realising how appropriate that is for this thread! I could be blaming her for instilling the idea that I ought to be jumping over fences and winning gold cups at the Grand National!

She could always raise a smile, my beloved mother. I remember being so relieved that she wasn’t here to see the YES vote in the Irish same-sex “marriage” campaign. And equally glad that she can’t see me weighing up the pros and cons of “identifying” as a horse!

        January 16, 2016 at 5:59 pm
      • Therese

Forget identifying with a horse, Editor. No way. Try a cat. Try my cat. You’ll have a valet, a butler, a housemaid, a chef, and a chauffeur, all in one. And, you can preen yourself believing that you are a superior being who deserves – and demands – only the best. She’s not daft enough to wish she was trans-species.

      RCA Victor,

That’s a great article in The Public Discourse and the whole thrust of it is that transgenderism is an absurdity, which it is.

That is all the more reason why churchmen should be speaking out as clearly as possible to condemn the propaganda. If people genuinely feel they are the opposite gender they should be helped by counselling to understand that their feelings are confusing them because you can’t be a girl if you’re biologically a male.

I think people are now genuinely confused about what is or is not “politically correct” these days and as a result free and honest debate is becoming rarer. Look at the nonsense in our universities where controversial speakers are no longer welcome, when the statue of Cecil Rhodes might be removed because it offends some peoples sensitivities. Just remember how Germaine Greer was shouted down and ridiculed when she dared to say that sex changed “women” we’re not really women just because they had undergone genital surgery. It’s becoming like the Emporers New Clothes; no one will say what they really think any more…except on here maybe!

    January 16, 2016 at 9:40 pm
    • Alex F

      Christiana,

Absolutely. The parameters of acceptable debate are being becoming tighter and tighter. People no longer debate the issues. If you want a debate on trans-sexualism, you don’t debate genetics or societal structures or anything like that. You wheel in men who pretend to be women and get them to start weeping and wailing and express suicidal ideation because there are people in the world who say they are men. Everything is subjectified in debate these days, and if you take an opposing view, you are vilified as a “transphobic” person. Germaine Greer found this out to her peril, but unfortunately, I have little sympathy. She herself has had a part in the rebellion against creation and has done much to help foster the current situation we are living in.

I think the real story here is: too little, too late. Did the Pope speak out against gay “marriage”? No. Did the Bishops’ Conferences? No. So now they think they can stop this insane steamroller? Guess again, boys (and I use the term generously).
