Will UK Leaving EU Lead To Restoration Of The Reign of Christ The King?

Will UK Leaving EU Lead To Restoration Of The Reign of Christ The King?

Blogger, Westminster Fly offers the following prayer, in the light of the EU LEAVE vote, predominately in England:

Prayer to Royal St Joseph for the restoration of England, Mary’s Dowry

St Joseph, advocate of the dying and the sinner, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
St Joseph, advocate of the dying and the sinner, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Royal St Joseph, chosen by God the Father to be His Son’s earthly Father. Look down upon England, Mary’s Dowry. See the House of Nazareth is broken.

Do not look upon this poor sinner and turn away, but through your most powerful intercession, take your heavenly tools and rebuild your Spouse’s House and give it back to Her more resplendent than it was before.

Restore to the Mother of God what is rightfully Hers, so England may once again be a light to the Nations, where Christ the King reigns over us, and His Mother is seated at His right Hand as Our Immaculate Queen.

Christ The King2
Christ The King

Glory Be. O Christ the King, reign over us. Glory Be. O Mary, Immaculate Queen, intercede for us. Glory Be. O Royal St Joseph, hear us through our Guardian Angel. Amen.

                                                                                                 With ecclesiastical approval.

Comment:

In his resignation announcement this morning, David Cameron, UK Prime Minister, listed his promotion of same-sex marriage legislation among the achievements of his Government.

Is it likely, then, that his successor will be instrumental in bringing about the restoration of [Catholic] England, Mary’s Dowry – i.e.  the restoration of the reign of Christ The King –  or will life continue much as before in an independent England/UK?

Whoever takes over from Cameron will probably be of the same stripe – another member of the liberal metropolitan elite. No politician is going to be our saviour, that’s for sure. I don’t think that England, as it stands at present, is in a fit state to lead anything – this nation has been guilty of some heinous crimes against God and His laws – but in posting that prayer I was asking for people to pray to St Joseph will he will help to rebuild our country and restore it as Mary’s Dowry. That may be a long way off, and humanly speaking seems impossible at present, but with God and Our Lady’s help, nothing is impossible. Remember what Pope Leo XIII said:- “When England returns to Walsingham, Our Lady will return to England”.

      Westminster Fly,

That is a really beautiful prayer. I will pray to St Joseph to help rebuild England and the rest of the United Kingdom (or “dis-United Kingdom” !) because only prayer will make a difference now, I think. There is no sign of a great Catholic politician to make a stand and run for office. I wish!

I agree that we should pray to St Joseph for the restoration of England as Mary’s Dowry. What a beautiful title!

I agree – “Mary’s Dowry” is a lovely title for Our Lady.

Westminster Fly, I, too, will pray to St Joseph for that intention.

What we need now is a holy statesman like Gabriel Garcia Moreno (fat chance!). On January 16, 1599 Our Lady of Good Success appeared to Mother Mariana in Quito, Ecuador, and said this: “In the 19th Century, there will be a truly Catholic President, a man of character whom God, Our Lord, will give the palm of martyrdom on the square adjoining this convent. He will consecrate this Republic to the Sacred Heart of my Most Holy Son, and this consecration will sustain the Catholic Religion in the years that will follow, which will be ill-fated ones for the Church.” Go to http://www.ourladyofgoodsuccess.com and click on ‘Gabriel Garcia Moreno’ in the left hand scroll down sidebar for further info about this great man.

Good riddance to him when he eventually goes, not that I hold much hope for a less amoral successor.

Unfortunately, if it is Michael Gove who wins the nomination, we can expect the same liberal nonsense we have experienced from Cameron. Gove in his eulogy of Cameron praised the Prime Minister’s “great achievement” in legislating for “gay marriage”. Groan! I think it’s back to the beads’ maybe we will get another miracle.

Well we have been and gone and done it, and the Out campaign has won beyond all expectations really. I was undecided right up to going in to vote but I did put my cross in the leave box in the end. Then spent half the night watching the results come in.
Now I am not sure how I feel! The jubilation of Farage and people like Le Pen is some what un nerving but worse than that is the real dismay of my sons and the grief of a Scottish neighbour who is now actively considering returning to live in Glasgow. It does worry me that we have again damaged our relationship with Scotland.

On the spiritual front, well I see no signs of hope for a more moral leadership in the near future so we must really pray hard that something will happen to shake up the consciences of people in power.

    Difficult and challenging times ahead.

      Elizabeth,

Please don’t let the rhetoric of Nicola Sturgeon influence you. Despite that majority “IN” vote, I’ve met very few people up here in Scotland who wanted to remain in the EU. I always puzzle over the results of various polls and elections. Who knows why people vote in certain ways that may well be at variance with their real thinking. As I stood in the compartment with my pencil hovering over the ballot paper, it struck me that many people will give in to the temptation to stick with the status quo – I didn’t, not for a second. But, people generally hate change, for all sorts of reasons. However, as I say, I’ve met only a handful of people (who could be counted on two or three fingers!) who identified themselves as “IN” voters.

Nicola Sturgeon certainly doesn’t speak for all Scots – her party was returned with less of a majority (largely, some commentators say, due to her totalitarian Named Person policy).

I will continue to vote “no” to Scottish Independence as long as we have the SNP doing the asking unless and until they reverse the evil legislation they’ve introduced, especially after putting us through two convoluted consultation exercises, only to blatantly tell us they were going to ignore the result and give us same-sex marriage anyway. Scoundrels. And the fact that Mzzzzz Sturgeon wears so many glamorous suits, especially the red ones, and that she looks slim and groomed, only proves my point… Scoundrels! 😀

With great respect, I cannot understand the way people angst over leaving the EU. It’s a fairly recent institution and its ultimate goals are terrifying. I noticed that the very first interview after the result this morning (Sky News) was with an Italian politician who said, almost immediately, that he lamented the UK vote because we have the best army! In other words, what a loss to the planned European army! Incredible!

This banding together of nations into one Super-State was and remains a dreadful idea, and – as we already know – led and will lead, in the future, to less and less freedom for the people within the EU system. It is totalitarian by its nature so I, personally, am very pleased at the LEAVE vote.

You have no need to reproach yourself, Elizabeth. You made a thoughtful, conscientious decision on how to vote and if your neighbour decides to return to Scotland, she will find that she is more than likely to find herself living next door to an avid LEAVE supporter – worst case scenario, it could be me!

Lets hope that Elizabeth’s neighbour doesn’ t have children or grandchildren. I wouldn’t live in Scotland if I had! Don’t want Big Brother spying on my family. From what I hear the sooner the SNP are out of power the better. Of course our crowd on Ireland are hardly saints either. They want to set up a citizens convention to “examine” the 8th amendment to the Irish constitution which gives mother and unborn baby equal right not to be killed. Which is what equal right to life boils down to.

        June 24, 2016 at 2:20 pm
      • Therese

Well said Spiritus! I’m afraid many people consider financial considerations, ancient wars and arguments and party politics before the good of their country and the moral wellbeing of its peoples.

      • Michaela

        Spiritus,

I saw your foreign minister Charlie Flanagan interviewed on the news at lunchtime and he seemed 100% behind the European project. Is there any Euro-sceptic movement in the Irish Republic?

        June 24, 2016 at 5:24 pm
      • Spiritus

        Michaela
Eurosceptics in ireland?? Not really. Our crowd look for the money and if it’s there they’ll vote for anything from europe. If we give the “wrong” answer europe will just ask the same question again. Happened with Nice and Lisbon treaties. I think that there are very few of us, all Traditional Catholics, who realise that duty to God is supreme over material advantage.

      Elizabeth,

I do understand your thoughts, especially after seeing the news channels because the broadcasters all have doom and gloom faces are are making the result out to be the worst thing ever. I think we’ll all be glad we had a “leave” vote in the end. I think it was an unnatural arrangements to be overseen by a foreign power and I don’t think we will suffer in any way, like the supposed experts are saying.

You could tell your Scots neighbour that Nicola Sturgeon is not regarded as an honest politician up here. She is quite brazen in the way she responds to questions as I think was obvious in the press conference she gave. One journalist asked if she thought the rest of the UK was backward looking because she said Scotland was forward looking by voting to remain and she skirted around the question instead of saying what she obviously must think which is “yes”. I don’t trust her at all.

        Margaret Mary,

I agree with you. Whenever I hear Nicola Sturgeon’s name mentioned, the term Stalinist comes into my mind.

Strangely, I wondered if yesterday’s vote would end up a tie.

My vote yesterday was a LEAVE vote. At the last Referendum for Scottish Independence, my vote was to remain in the UK. My vote will NOT change on that matter.

        Westminsterfly,

Thank you for that lovely prayer to St Joseph, may England return to Mary’s Dowry soon. May Scotland and Wales look to HER Immaculate Heart too.

Elizabeth – I wouldn’t be so hard on Nigel Farage. If it wasn’t for him and UKIP, this referendum almost certainly wouldn’t have happened in the first place. Do you have to agree with absolutely everything he says and thinks? No. But I think we owe him a debt of gratitude for his untiring work – and don’t forget – while all the other MP’s are busy feathering their nests, Farage’s work on getting this referendum ultimately means that he has done himself out of a job as an MEP – which, if nothing else, shows that self-interest isn’t perhaps the first thing on his agenda. But as I said, no politician can ever be our saviour. I think that perhaps when Scotland takes a long hard look at the parlous state of the EU, post-Brexit (and other nations are now calling for referendums), it may think twice about staying shackled to it.

      June 24, 2016 at 1:07 pm
      • Margaret Mary

        Westminster Fly,

I love your comment, 100%. Nigel Farage is an easy target for attacks because he has drawn attention to the problems caused by mass emigration, so he can be labelled a racist easily. I don’t agree with everything (his party is pro-abortion, I think) but I can recognise an easy target when I see one. You are right in saying we owe him our gratitude for giving us the chance to vote in this referendum. I saw one headline saying he will be regarded in history as the most important politician of this era. I agree, even though I’ve never voted for UKIP

WF, thanks for that beautiful prayer

Yes, I heard Cameron boasting about same sex “marriage” and blushed for him. Like Pat McKay, I say good riddance to him and I’m not holding my breath either regarding a more moral replacement!

I’m glad we voted out of that evil EU although that will surely trigger yet another referendum. yawn, yawn.

    June 24, 2016 at 11:52 am
  • crofterlady

Editor, that’s strange you should say that you met hardly any “remain” voters. I had the exact same experience so it does make one ask why Scotland voted to remain.

As for Mzzzz Sturgeon, she is a dictator. I will also never vote for Scottish independence until some other party has the majority of Holyrood seats. The SNP never break ranks and always vote the same way. All the other parties have free spirits but not the SNP!

    June 24, 2016 at 12:34 pm
    • Laura

      Crofterlady,

I agree with you but the other parties supported the laws brought about by the SNP – Named Person and Same-Sex marriage were supported across the parties. I don’t think any of them deserve support. I don’t know if there are any independent MSPs that are worth supporting. Does anyone know?

      June 24, 2016 at 12:56 pm
    • Margaret Mary

Me, as well. I haven’t met many remain voters. The ones I did meet (except in one case) were really waverers with an inclination to vote to remain.

I am really glad about the leave victory, which is a victory for common sense. I don’t think we will notice any difference to the economy and eventually it will be stronger. I just can’t understand why people want to remain under a foreign government which is really what the EU Commission and Parliament is.

I’m not so sure England will be restored to being Mary’s Dowry, as a result though. I think the politicians are all the same – they all colluded in the immoral laws we now have. I think only the Consecration of Russia will make a difference to world peace and morality.

I do agree that Nigel Farage should be thanked for making this referendum come about, as without him, the other parties would just have kept insulting our intelligence by promising a “future” referendum. Only when the votes started to flow towards UKIP did the rest of them sit up and take notice. He is an easy target, right enough, and that’s not fair. He’s not a racist just because he thinks it’s stupid to have mass emigration without the back up resources.

I’m delighted with the vote, and very grateful to Nigel Farage. Thanks to WF for posting that wonderful prayer to St Joseph; I will certainly be praying it until either England returns to Our Lady, or I kick the bucket.

John Vennari has posted this on the CFN website: http://www.cfnews.org/ The article claims that Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, would be Cameron’s probable successor.

    June 24, 2016 at 4:09 pm
    • Michaela

      RCA Victor,

Yet again the CFN report ignores Scotland. And it also ignores Catholic Truth. I know this point has been made before but I would bet a pound to a penny that if editor had been reporting on a similar seismic event in the USA she would have taken her article from Catholic Family News or The Remnant. I actually wish she wouldn’t do that as they just ignore us on this blog. Is it possible that John Vennari and Michael Matt don’t check this blog? If so, shame on them. Actually, I hardly ever visit their sites now, because they are wrapped up in their own interests. They sometimes report on England but never Scotland. They’re not in my favourites folder any more. I probably sound petty, but (as editor would say) too bad! LOL!

The Londoners are wild with fury over this result but they can take their share, as we often have had to suffer governments elected down there in the far south of England when we didn’t vote for them.

I’m delighted beyond words at the leave vote. As others have said, I live in Scotland and haven’t met anyone who was in the Remain camp. I guess it’s a case of staying with the devil you know rather than any enthusiasm for it.

        Michaela,

I don’t know the history regarding Scotland and this blog vs. CFN or The Remnant, but I think it would be fair to point out that the article I linked was not John Vennari’s, but the Weekly Standard’s, which he in turn linked.

      • Michaela

        RCA Victor,

Doesn’t it strike you as odd that the American publications don’t link to the only traditional Catholic blog in the UK on such an important issue? I’ve noticed it time and time again and it has been discussed on this blog, although it’s not my place to raise it, but just thought I would mention it, as today it is so notable. I know the article on CFN was from an English secular paper, not a Catholic one and there is no trad paper here only this blog. I just think it’s weird but I might be in hot water for going off topic – LOL!

        June 24, 2016 at 7:06 pm
      • RCA Victor

        Michaela,

Don’t worry, if Editor threatens to cut your paycheck, I’ll vouch for you! At the very least, you can have some of my zeros!

As for American secular publications linking or referring to our blog, I would honestly be shocked if they did, for three reasons: one, these publications are neo-conservative, which is the secular equivalent of “Novus Ordo conservative”; two, they probably never heard of us and have little to do with the Catholic faith; three, we don’t usually post original articles, but typically comment on the articles of others.

As for the other trad publications like CFN and The Remnant, I have no clue as to why they don’t refer to our discussions, since, frankly, this is the best trad blog on the internet. But who knows, John V. and Michael Matt may be participating under aliases, and we don’t even know it!

        Michaela,

Just catching up with much of this thread – I have said myself in the past that it puzzles me that the likes of CFN and Remnant ignore us, but it’s no big deal. We really are very small fish.

And something struck me, too, which RCA Victor mentions in relation to the American publications – we don’t often publish original articles (occasionally, do from our own bloggers but I just don’t have the time to research and write original articles as the authors of the American blogs do all the time) so half the time we’re commenting on their articles! That’s one explanation, although there are examples of when it would be the natural thing to link to us and they don’t – such as the scandal of Cardinal O’Brien. Anyway, it’s no big deal. Don’t let it bother you, although your loyalty is greatly appreciated.

        Now, back to the topic!

As an ‘exiled Scot’ who’s lived ‘down south’ for over 30 years, I can confirm that Scotland is generally regarded by the English as ‘one of the Colonies’.

In more than a few workplaces, I got some astonished looks when I told colleagues that Queen Elizabeth the Second is actually Queen Elizabeth the FIRST, of Scotland. But it’s true. Whether one considers the Union of Crowns (1603) or the Union of Parliaments (1707) to be ‘zero-hour’, the fact is that Scotland had never had a Queen Elizabeth before either of those dates.

Even among Scots, there is an amazing ignorance of this.

    June 24, 2016 at 6:27 pm
    • Michaela

      Pat McKay,

I knew that! I knew the present queen is Elizabeth I of Scotland, II of England. We were taught that at school.

When the SNP began to make inroads back in the 70s, they said they would ‘retain the present Queen as head of state’, if they ever became government.

So, if Scotland gets independence, does this mean they’ll start minting their own coins – with ‘Elizabeth I’ on them?

Elizabeth, I only join it at Preston after leaving the M61, tolerate it as far as Lancaster, but then there’s all the beauty of the Lake District to pass through. Wheee! Over Shap and the lovely moorlands with the wind sock flying and the car window wide open. Stop at one of the service stations set in this glorious scenery and then onward, looking forward to crossing the border, merging with the M74 and eventually reaching the road to the Isles. What heart wouldn’t sing?

Awful M6? Southwards from J19, I agree, it gets steadily worse I remember, but I haven’t put myself or my heart through that ordeal for years.

I think this is a great day for the UK and I wouldn’t pay much attention to Nicola Sturgeon. She’ll get the same answer as first time if she goes for a second referendum. The SNP are no longer flavour of the month, IMHO.

The REMAIN lobby is still trying to scare-monger but I think things will be good when the markets etc settle down and we see not much change, except for the better. We managed to get on in the UK before we joined the EU and we will get on fine when we’ve left it, finally. The businesses will still want our business so I don’t believe air fares, holidays etc will be more expensive, they’ll still be cutting prices to win our business.

More than anything, though, I’m glad we are out of the one-world project. That’s really what the EU is about and we should have no part of it. We should trust our future to the two holy hearts of Jesus and Mary and not worry – look forward, not back, IMHO.

I voted leave yesterday due to the satanic nature of the EU and it’s constant attempts to denigrate God’s Laws by supporting moral evils such as abortion and same sex ‘marriage’. It was a decision I made after much thought, prayer and consideration, but I am now starting to regret voting leave due to Gibraltar issue, Scottish Independence and a United Ireland. Do you think the Scottish people would vote to leave the UK and second time round?

    June 24, 2016 at 9:30 pm
    • editor

      CC,

IN answer to your final sentence – no; I do not think the Scots will vote to leave the UK second time around.

As for the rest – gerragrip! You made your decision about the EU, and you voted to leave. Well done. So what about Gibraltar, a united Ireland or a second Scottish referendum? Those are separate issues. Keep a clear head on your shoulders. Don’t mix issues.

I don’t think Scotland will vote to leave the UK in a second referendum either. Why would they vote to remain in the EU, across the channel, and yet vote to leave the UK (our biggest trading partner, I think I’m right in saying) when they are our nearest land neighbour? That doesn’t make any sense at all.

What if Scotland has to accept the euro? How will that go when so many of us travel up and down between England and Scotland and Wales all the time? Also London – will they have to accept the euro if they negotiate terms to stay in the EU? It’s just ridiculous. When Scots voted to remain in the EU they were voting for the status quo. I can’t see a majority voting for change now, when that change is to separate from our nearest neighbours.

In a way it would be good to have a second Scottish referendum because if the Nats lose it again, they would surely want wee Nicola to resign, and the sooner the better, IMHO.

I have a feeling that divine providence played a bigger part in our exit from the EU than we know, although I agree with all others that our present crop of politicians are anything but Godly folk with Christian moral values at heart.

My main reason for thinking as I do is a prophecy I once heard, apparently by the Cure of Ars, who said, and I paraphrase, that in the last times Britain would be in a stranglehold on her knees. Finally, she cast will off the yoke that has kept her bodange and begin the return to her glorious faith of yore.

We are still a million miles from anything like that wonderful certainty, but maybe our escape from that godless enterprise in Brussels signals a new beginning of sorts. At any rate, I’m delighted by the result.

No, I think it’s definitely the stranglehold of the EU. Scotland will be delivered also from its present atheistic oppression, I’m sure of it. Our Lady will not abandon a country once so dedicated to her.

In England & Wales, we used to have the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom – I was a member but as far as I’m aware it ceased to function. They used to do the annual Walsingham walk and pilgrimages to other holy sites in England & Wales. The aim of the organisation was the Conversion of England to the Faith. We need an organisation like that now more than ever. The Ransom prayer was ‘Jesus, convert England, Jesus, give back the Faith to Wales, Jesus, have mercy on this country’. Does Scotland have a similar apostolate?

I also set great store by the Fatima prayers given by Our Lord to Sister Lucia, which are often ignored, of which Fr Gruner did so much to try and make people aware. In August of 1931, Sister Lucia was praying in the chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe at Rianjo, Spain, begging Our Lord for the conversion of the whole world, naming particularly Europe, Russia, and her own countries of Portugal and Spain. Our Lord expressed to her His pleasure in this prayer: ‘You please Me very much by this prayer. Ask it also of My Mother.’ He then taught her this prayer:

“Sweet Heart of Mary, be the salvation of Russia, Spain, Portugal, Europe, and the whole world.” Jesus then continued: “Pray this often. At other times, pray as follows: ‘By Thy pure and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, obtain for me the conversion of Russia, Spain, Portugal, Europe, and the whole world.’”

It is recommended to pray these prayers often – and add in the names of your own countries and other countries which you wish to include. The more the merrier!

        Westminster Fly,

I couldn’t think of a specific prayer for the conversion of Scotland, so Googled and found this on a website called Prayers4Reparation

        PRAYER FOR SCOTLAND

Lord, win over the minds of our countrymen so that all may acknowledge you as the way, the truth and the life. Having seen and believed that you are the Son of God, may they see your Spirit, truth and life in the one true Church which you have founded. Amen.

Our Lady, Help of Christians, pray for us.
        St Andrew, pray for us.
        St Margaret, pray for us.
St John Ogilvie, pray for us.

        Westminsterfly,

I have just read your post about the demise of the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom and the need for an alternative and I wondered whether you were aware that a UK branch of the Knights of the Militia Immaculatae was launched here last Sunday?

I am talking about the Militia Immaculatae founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe, emasculated after Vatican 2 and all but sunk, and since resurrected under its original statutes by Fr. Karl Stehlin.

It transcends all other similar movements and is growing exponentially.

Have a look at the Newsletters and the other content on this link:

        http://fsspx.uk/en/militia-immaculatae-gb

Requests about how and where a Catholic can enrol as a Knight of the Militia Immaculatae (male or female) should be directed to Fr. R. Brucciani at district.uk@fsspx.email

Lily, I agree 100%, and I wish our elected representatives would get the hand-wringing and recriminations over and done with, and get on with the job of governing the country and making the most of this wonderful opportunity.

I’m pleased to see some appreciation of Nigel Farage – I’ve never understood what he did and apparently still does to incur such odium, except to be a patriot in a world where patriotism has become a dirty word. I am always greatly impressed by his dignity in the face of insults (remember the political debate where all except Ed Milliband refused to shake his hand) his affability and the 25 years he has worked selflessly for this result. I hope that he will eventually get a seat in parliament. Judging from some of his hilarious rants in Brussels, parliament would get a great orator (at last) and a politician lacking in self-interest.

No, I don’t think there will yet be any place for God in our corrupt society – not unless and until He and His Blessed Mother intervene. Thank you, WF for that beautiful prayer, and I suggest prayers also to our English Martyrs – sadly I can’t find the hymn sung on utube:

Martyrs of England, standing on high
Warrior band of the great white throne
Martyrs of England, list to our cry,
Pray for the country you called your own.

    “May France will follow suit???????”
Indeed, I wish this Babel Tower collapses…
In a year, everything will be back to normal; the British will sign trade agreements with their partners and all will be well…
The European Babel Tower begins to crumble; it is like “unity in diversity” instead of “unity in Truth”, that is, in Jesus Christ, “the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14.6 ), that embodies the truly catholic ecumenism. Everything fits in this world; political and economic globalism goes with religious globalism.
We must break down the idols.

To answer Editor’s question, I would skeptically guess there will be a few feints in the direction of economic “liberation” (hopefully not “free trade” though, which is one of the primary Marxist platform planks to destroy national sovereignty), but that ultimately very little will change. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if the NWO/EU engineers another vote – and this time, spreads lots more money around to assure a victory! Meanwhile, a return to Christ the King in the UK? Not hardly, until the Consecration is done.

But having watched that “Brexit” movie, I’m wondering whether the removal of suffocating EU economic regulations will have that much difference. The movie made it sound like the UK economy was already highly regulated even before the EU’s predecessor, the “Common Market,” came along.

Thank God sanity prevailed and we are OUT …the public were the boltcutters that severed us from the filthy immoral chains of the Evil Union …I am not boasting but just stating facts that I gave out nearly 3,000 LEAVE leaflets I say on a wall near my flat ,at bus stops down the Town and gave leaflets to taxi drivers ..out of all those leaflets only 5 said they would vote remain and one of them was a fish and chip owner in Clacton on a pensioners day out we went to his establishment for a meal …when he proffessed his allegiance I asked him “what about the fishermen’s raw deal and will you be able to have enough fish to serve if we remain in ???..silence

I must also tell you Luton has a large Muslim population and they were very anti EU ,many spoke to me and said of their fears about ..what children were taught in School on immoral issues
….and took lots of literature from me …

One elderly english gent .when i offered him a leaflet in my local Sainsburys car park ..berated me me saying I was pompous ,an awful woman and said he had a £450 bet to remain and the next time he saw me at Sainsburys he would laugh at me and make me eat humble pie as he enjoyed spending his winnings ..oh dear

I would Imagine yesterday Heaven was especially joyous The Holy family ,Saints and Angels rejoicing that we are free from this tyranny …all those sincere Prayers were heard ..all those Polititians who told lies ,blatent ,unashamingly, misleading the Public can now sit and lick their wounds counting their jobs and £££££££..gravy train derailment
I would imagine this could be the start of the collapse of the EU …other unhappy Countrys may find the courage to leave .

Truth and decency have spoken in this case and God Bless everyone whoPrayed / voted leave …keep up those prayers to St Joseph to heal our Country.

Bless you all people of courage well done and especially thanks to our wonderful Editor who was a shining stalwart and example to us all throughout

Yes, very well and bravely done, Wendy, but I am curious about one thing. There are about 50,000 Muslims in Luton, 24.6% of the population, many concentrated in the Bury Park area where, a brief internet search will show on video ugly confrontations with right-wing groups (provocative, maybe, but behaving non-aggressively) where the Muslims are aggressive and shouting that Britain is now their country and they will soon have Christians and the rest of the natives out. So I am wondering if the Muslims you were able to discuss your concerns about the EU with represent a more moderate group who are not aligned with the dangerous radical elements and are not ‘ghettoised’ in that particular area.

I was confident that the vote to leave would be won because I believe that Our Blessed Lady was watching over Her Dowry in spite of the dreadful legislation that has been enacted in recent times. It was mainly the votes of the English and Welsh ( a land of saints ) that won the day. It is unlikely that the people who will form the next government will lead us back to Christianity but these things do not happen overnight. The following is a prayer used by the Guild Of Our Lady of Ransom:

Jesus convert England, Jesus have mercy on this country. Hail Mary etc.Our Lady of Walsingham pray for us. St.John Fisher pray for us, St.Thomas Moore pray for us. St.Margaret Clitheroe pray for us. Blessed Henry Heath pray for us. Blessed English Martyrs pray for us.

There is of course also the prayer for England. Let’s hope as many people as possible will recite these prayers together with the beautiful prayer to St.Joseph in order that we will eventually again become a Catholic country.

I do feel sorry for Scotland having the nationalists in charge of affairs. Its a lovely country to visit and I have always found the people to be friendly and welcoming. If there is another vote I do hope the Scottish people will do the right thing and remain in the now wonderfully free UK.

You’re right! It was a miracle that the vote went in favour of Brexit. The establishment was so confident of a remain victory, which even Nigel Farage conceded as probable, that it was stunned by the final result. I believe it was a divine intervention. I am absolutely convinced that Our Lady trumped all the dirty tricks that were played to keep this country shackled to the EU. That means she is still watching over Britain for the sake of its historical devotion to her, despite the present apostasy of the British people.

I’ve been proven wrong about one thing, folks. I’ve said many times (if not on this blog, to friends and family in conversation) that we wouldn’t be allowed to leave the EU, that they would do everything in their power to keep us, so imagine my amazement to see the top man, can’t spell his name and no time to check it! saying we are to get out asap. Then, when the BBC Europe Editor asked if he thought Brexit would spark the beginning of the end of the EU, he snapped “no” and marched off! The BBC Europe Editor went on to comment on his refusal to answer her question properly.

The problem is, the commentators are acknowledging that there is a movement now in various countries to leave the EU but it’s always described as taking its impetus from the “far right” (i.e. “racist”) parties. They just can’t get past that word. As if it’s “racist” to want control of a nation’s borders. I wonder how many of these people would think of leaving open their front doors so that all and sundry could take refuge in their homes. I wouldn’t dream of doing that, but refute the suggestion that it makes me a “racist” or a “bigot” – I just like to be the person to decide who enters my humble home and who doesn’t. Common (they used to call it) sense !

Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the EU, is turning nasty on Britain. He’s said there won’t be an amicable divorce, but there wasn’t a deep love affair to begin with anyway. How nasty is that?

It wasn’t very widely reported that he said a day or so before the referendum that there would be no new deal for the UK if we voted to remain. So much for the “remain” campaign’s repeated assurances that we would be voting to remain in a “reformed EU”. That was never going to be the case and they must have known it.

I’m very glad I voted out.

I read something to the like that the UK would be punished which ever way the vote went.

But, have just discovered this item that a petition has been set up demanding a second EU vote that requires a 75 percent turnout. It has been signed by at least one million people. It seems that some are not happy with Thursday’s result.

I enjoyed reading the comments of Scots in Scotland. I live in England. I worked for the Leave campaign and here were my questions. Mrs Brown took her child round to start at the local Primary School and her child could not get in because of the immigrants that had arrived in large numbers in her neighbourhood. John and Mary have been waiting years for a Council House but large numbers of immigrants arriving had greater needs. They asked why there were so many? Now neither of these people were racist or anti-immigrant they were just asking a sensible question. Nigel Farage was the first to listen. Now the question we all have to ask is why a request for the limitation in numbers became racist, intolerant, anti-immigrant, and right wing. There are a lot of insults going around now about those who voted Leave but do you know in my ward the Laour party did not bother to come out and fight for remain and that was true throughout the country They just had their battle bus and a few meetings in a nice comfortable hall. There was an 80% tun out in Council Estates and the majority were voting Leave because they had been ignored. If the vote went against them the Labour Party has nothing to beef about.

      John

While I understand and sympathise with Mrs Brown, and I could tell of similar tales of people I know being told they were first or second on the local authority housing list (after ten years awaiting a bigger house) only to be told they were way down the list again due to refugees needing to be housed and although I understand and sympathise with that argument, with all due sympathy for the refugees (not their fault) I think it would have been wiser during the campaign to focus chiefly on the sovereignty argument, and that it is ludicrous to have politicians elected here only to be over-ruled or given instructions from an unelected body oversees. It seems to me, to be common sense to avoid arguments that will give the opposition ammunition for labelling the LEAVE side as racist etc.

Instead of pointing out that immigrants are getting school places and houses etc. it might have been more sensible to argue that we want control of our own institutions and money in order to provide for everyone, so that all parents and tenants are treated fairly.

Anyway, it’s academic now, and thankfully, LEAVE won the day.

I should have mentioned that another Scottish Referendum would be in very different circumstances from the last. The recent one was against a backgournd where both were part of Europe and there was no change foreseen. But voting to Leave while England is not a member of the EU is an entirely different proposition. It is saying we prefer to be more friends with Europe than friendly with the English. Also remember that England is Scotlands largest trading partner and a yes vote would be catastrophic to Scottish Trade. Think of borders being set up. It is absolutely ridiculous.

    June 25, 2016 at 10:16 pm

      John,

Forget about a second referendum here in Scotland. I’m convinced that Mzzzz Sturgeon is merely headline-grabbing. It doesn’t make sense to want to leave our largest trading partner, as you say, and our common currency, in order to remain with the EU. Where’s the sense in that? It was one of the things that made me laugh during the first (and I hope last) Scottish referendum. We were being urged to vote to get out from under the thumb of Westminster, but remain under the thumb of the EU. Crackers. The wummin’s crackers!

        Editor,

Yes, Nicola Sturgeon is still headline-grabbing. Headlines now read:-
“Scotland could block UK’s exit from EU by vetoing it”.

Is there any reason for sulking about the outcome of the referendum?
Or is it grandiose ideas without any real investigations on the matter?

        Theresa Rose,

And you’re right. She is a dictator, no question about it.

Driving to Mass this morning, I heard part of a Radio Scotland interview with SNP former Deputy Leader, LEAVE campaigner, Jim Sillars and he was excellent. Dismissed Mzzzz Sturgeon and other prophets of gloom. Notably, points out early on that the fact that Mzzzz Sturgeon went south of the border to campaign on David Cameron’s terms, shows that she recognised this as a UK wide vote. It’s a must-hear. Click here and scroll to 01:02:54 to listen (available for the next 29 days.)

Amidst all the Remainers’ sulky outbursts this morning I was especially amused by one of the talking heads the BBC called in to help it vent its corporate spleen. He explained that the ‘divide’ between remainers and leavers was simply this: remainers are university-educated and belong to the middle classes, while leavers haven’t been to university and belong to the lower classes!!!

      Christina,

I’ve been watching the news channels again and it isn’t even Lent.

Yes, the whole tenor of the discussions so far has been to give the impression that the thickos voted LEAVE (because they’re racists) and the more intelligent among us voted to REMAIN (selflessly, because it’s better for the country… You’d HAVE to be thick to believe the propaganda.)

The sheer brazenness of the Remain camp really irks me to death.

I’ve just watched the nasty Alistair Campbell, former adviser to Tony Blair, on BBC, calling the Leave campaign leaders liars, when he deserves a gold medal in the sport. If anybody is a liar it is he and his pal Tony. Think Iraq. Think weapons of (non-existent) mass destruction. Think Dr Kelly… The list is endless.

Then the savagery towards Jeremy Corbyn, which has gone on since the moment he was elected because he’s actually a real Labour man – as we are (I hope!) real Catholics – unpopular for the same reason as ourselves, refusing to pretend he’s not. Laughably, they’re trying to blame his low profile in the Remain campaign to get rid of him, ignoring the fact that 70% of Labour voters who voted in the referendum, voted to remain! Honestly, we need a Philadelphia lawyer in the room when watching the news these days…

I am, as I think is well understood by now, apolitical. I don’t vote to the right, left or centre, and I have no plans to until after the Consecration of Russia when some modicum of moral order is restored. But I can see an injustice when it falls out of my TV screen into my lap, and I detest those scoundrels who are resigning en masse from the shadow cabinet in a fairly obvious, if diabolically clever, orchestrated piece of bullying.

And the bullying is set to continue, as already there are hints that the LEAVE result could be overturned.

Interesting times ahead; although I wonder what other news we’re missing while we are being treated to referendum-saturation.

Further to my previous comment re The Guild Of Our Lady of Ransom prayer. In my haste I omitted the following saints from the prayer: St.Gregory the Great, St.Augustine of Canterbury and St.Thomas a Becket.
I seem to have a problem with saints names. On my first visit to Glasgow many years ago I asked someone for directions to SAINT Georges Square but have lived to tell the tale.
The Guild of Our Lady of Ransom is still very much in existence but they stopped the annual walk from London to Walsingham when Monsignor Stark was no longer able to continue. However a group of men who were involved with the walk formed an association called The Walsingham Walkers (see http://www.walsinghamwalk.) and have continued with the tradition of the walk which takes place during the first week of October.

      WF,

Thank you for that lovely prayer – and for the link to the Mail Online report.

It is a total outrage that these people are trying to overturn the result. So much for “democracy”.

I doubt if Sturgeon realises what she’s doing. She was already returned with a reduced majority at the recent Holyrood elections, not least due to her ridiculous determination to press on with the Named Person Scheme (even now I meet people who haven’t heard of it) and as that gets more publicity, plus her machinations over the LEAVE vote, she may well find her party wiped out next time around.

We must redouble our prayers that the principalities and powers at work here, do not win the day.

I don’t often visit The Remnant website these days – time and tide, etc. However, I paid what was meant to be a flying visit a little while ago and was so outraged at the first comment on their blog about the UK LEAVE vote that I just couldn’t resist replying. Below, a copy of my submission, replying to a blogger who blamed the LEAVE vote on “jingoistic and zenophobic English nationalism”. What a cheek…

“Absolute nonsense. I am a Scot, dismayed that so many of my countrymen and women voted to remain in the EU but my guess is that this was due to a fear of the unknown, rather than a vote in favour of Europe. Scots, like everyone else across the UK, can’t stand the EU red tape and interference in just about every aspect of life. How would you folks like it if a foreign power instructed you on what shape your bananas ought to be? Gimme strength. And the sheer nerve of them to say they will try to overturn the vote or have Scotland exempt. In which case, there may well be a new flood of refugees, this time flowing from Scotland in the north, to England in the south.

Nicola Sturgeon talks tosh most of the time and her blethering over the weekend on the EU OUT vote was no exception. She never misses an opportunity to grab a headline but she does not speak for the majority of Scots. She’s a dictator to her fingertips, as her determined plan to place a spy in every home through her shocking Named Person Scheme (for every child from the womb to 18 years) reveals. Thanks to that piece of intrusive legislation her party was returned with a reduced majority. I’d wager that if she succeeds in somehow suffocating the LEAVE vote in Scotland, her party will suffer further damage at the next election and hopefully, if my dreams come true, be wiped out completely. Signed Walter Mitty.

The Leave campaign was NOT “jingoistic and zenophobic English nationalism” – the charge of “racism” is applied to anyone who dares suggest that maybe an open door policy on immigration needs re-thinking. I wonder how many of those making a show of their love of open borders would leave their own front door open and unregulated, to “welcome” in anyone who decides they like the wallpaper? Crackers. I wonder how many of the politicians who said they would consider taking a refugee into their own homes, ever did so? Yeah right.

People have been beaten up and insulted in Scotland as I’m sure they have been in the USA and everywhere else, on account of their race or religion, so it is disingenuous of the dishonest Mzzzz Sturgeon to bleat on about Scotland being forward looking and welcoming blah blah. Goodness, some years ago, a friend of mine was beaten up in Glasgow, for the crime of asking (some youngsters who turned out to be thugs) the time of day in a markedly different accent… he is from Aberdeen! So cut out the “racist” charge – it’s insulting to people like myself who voted LEAVE for a number of perfectly valid reasons, nothing to do with race. The elementary principle of self-government, free of domination by a foreign power springs to mind. As many commentators said when your President visited before the referendum and basically instructed us to vote “remain”, cheek of him, insisting that we vote for the kind of foreign domination and interference that he would never accept for the USA. Game, set and match.”

    That’ll teach ’em!

Thank you all for your kind endorsement of my Remnant comment – but it’s still not published, so they’re obviously less bowled over by my words of wisdom than you (charitable) lot. Still, I’m glad I submitted it even though it’s probably annoyed the powers-that-be over there in the Remnant office. At least Cameron has said one thing right in his shameful career:-

“Pro-Remain campaigners have suggested a second referendum to allow the public to think again, even though Leave won by four percentage points.

But in his first statement to the Commons since last week’s historic decision, the PM pointedly warned MPs not to seek to overturn the decision, saying: ‘THERE CAN BE NO DOUBT ABOUT THE RESULT.’” (emphasis mine)

I was irritated to see a very angry Scottish MEP speaking in the EU Parliament this morning, broadcast on BBC, and demanding – very angrily – to be allowed to remain blah blah. I have now written (the same email) to each of the MEPs listed on the Scotland page here. I didn’t change any details, as I’m going away from my computer for a few hours, so in a hurry, and I don’t think it matters which Party they represent – so I’ll paste my email below in case it helps others – feel free to use it as a template, or just start from scratch, whatever suits – the email below was very hastily put together so you may write a much better message. Whatever, I do think we ought to try to stop this plan to ignore the LEAVE vote in Scotland. Feel free to post your letters on this thread – it may help others.

    MY EMAIL…

    Dear (Name)

I voted to leave the EU in a democratic vote held across the UK, of which we are a part, and remained a part following a referendum on independence.

I am therefore outraged to hear members of the SNP, including Nicola Sturgeon and the MEP who spoke angrily in the EU Parliament this morning, telling me that I am NOT going to have my vote respected.

I don’t trust the SNP – I don’t trust any politicians, in fact, but the SNP is in a class of its own, the Stalinist Named Person Scheme being a case in point.

It is my belief that, at the ballot box, the SNP will not be forgiven for their machinations, if they sweep aside the one million of us who voted LEAVE in the recent referendum. It is also my belief that, having voted for the status quo in the EU referendum, the majority of Scots will vote again for the status quo in any second independence referendum. I know I will.

Somebody really needs to tell the First Minister that she comes across as a headline-grabber. A very small fish in a huge pond, she is in danger of making herself look foolish and – more importantly – also risks making Scotland look foolish.

I do understand that UK MEPs will be vastly out of pocket personally, when they no longer have the luxury of sitting in the [useless] EU Parliament, but that should not provoke the kind of angry rhetoric we witnessed this morning by the MEP who drew applause for his daft intervention to the effect that Scotland the Brave is sticking in there. Crackers.

Editor, somewhere recently, regarding Brexit, you apologised for being wrong about “they won’t let us leave” comment. Well, you may have been right (again) all along! I heard a lady finance person on Call Kaye saying there won’t be a Brexit because the bankers and big boys won’t allow it.

That’s quite possible. I see already that Cameron and crew are speaking of maintaining a close trade relationship with the EU, which of course means free movement of people. I also see that the line up of challengers for the Tory leadership has more “Remain” then “Leave” candidates. These foxes are set on pulling every trick in the book to frustrate the will of the voters. I’ve even seen how the news channels are trying to link racist incidents with Brexit. Absolutely disgraceful and obvious dishonesty.

My most cringe wrothy moment today, though, was watching an SNP MEP at the EU begging that parasitic parliament to spare Scotland. It felt like a public betrayal of the British people and I was uttely ashamed. To think that Scottish MP’s would stoop so low as to beg crumbs from foreign masters to the detriment of their own neighbours in the UK was a new low.

      Crofterlady and ~Athanasius,

Yes, they are a bunch of scoundrels.

I watched the live broadcast from the EU Parliament this morning, and, like Athanasius, cringed watching the SNP MEP ranting about “no way” Scotland would leave the EU. Just before him, Nigel Farage had spoken forcefully and well about the LEAVE vote, with a dash of good humour.

Then he – in my humble opinion – made a mistake by turning personal on the MEPS, who were booing and heckling him. But instead of ignoring that, and letting their bad manners speak for itself, he began accusing them of never having had a job, not knowing what it was like to work, never having created a job, all in a matter of seconds – nothing, really, set against the rest of his remarks,

However, I guessed rightly as it turned out, that that would be the bit they’d quote on the news. Well, driving along a little later, the BBC radio news came on and, sure enough, they played that part of his talk. Nothing that he’d said before or after. The media is utterly lacking any level of integrity.

Well, I sincerely hope I’m right to think I was wrong (!) about them not allowing us to leave the EU. I would be really very disappointed in that case, and I think there would be a huge risk to national stability if they do end up ignoring the clearly demonstrated will of the people.

      Time will tell…

    John

Thank you for posting that video, which gives a whole new meaning to Nigel Farage’s words than the news channels were portraying. The dishonesty in the media in this country is absolutely shocking. It seems there is no depth of deception they will not sink to to keep Britain in that godless European Union. Mind you, the “little people”, as Nigel Farage calls the ordinary masses in mockery of the establishment, never fall for it. The more Farage is demonised in the media, the more they vote for him and his party.

I fear that the powers ranged against our freedom from the EU are so many and so great, however, that we will never see a separation of Britain from Brussels. As I said before, the Conservatives are already lining up EU-friendly stooges in the race for Prime Minister. We can see already the way things are heading. So much for so-called democracy. The British people only have a semblance of freedom, not the genuine article.

    John,

I also thank you for posting that video. I am sorry that Nigel Farage was affected by the heckling of the
MEP’s, but it is not surprising that the BBC and other news channels are making hay with it.

Athanasius, you are right that the news channels are dishonest and are demonising him. With the lining up of Conservatives for the Prime Minister post, invoking Article 50 for exiting the EU looks like being ignored. Whether it will be ignored temporarily or permanently, only time will tell.

I agree with your remarks about the Tory stooges being lined up but the EU has to control both major parties hence the coup against Jeremy Corbyn for his inept performance supporting the EU in the referendum.
An excellent analysis of the EU by David Icke another person often demonised.

        John,

It really doesn’t help the LEAVE campaign to cite people like David Icke. Some of us do remember actually seeing him on TV claiming to be the Son of God. Whatever happened subsequently, and I was disgusted at the way Wogan treated him and mocked him during an encore interview, he’s not the person to cite in support of the LEAVE vote, if you ask for my humble opinion which, I know, I know, you didn’t. But, things are self-evidently so bad, clearly diabolically disorientated, that the conspiracy theories are, at best, irrelevant now, again in my humble opinion, if you ask me which, again, I know, I know, you didn’t… For that reason I won’t take time to view the Icke video and I’m not sure anyone else will do so, but thank you anyway.

The bullying of Jeremy Corbyn using the EU referendum as the latest excuse, is a disgrace, as is Sturgeon’s latest stunt, “talks” with Juncker this morning. A joke.

However, we note them and move on. If, as seems possible, there is a serious attempt to roll back the referendum decision of the majority in the UK, there will be serious unrest in the land and a political price to pay for the elite. Let’s leave it at that and pray for a peaceful ending to the “relationship” between the UK and the EU.

I can hardly bear to watch anything on the BBC – it really is an evil force with so much power to manipulate minds. The awful Victoria Derbyshire programme is pulling all the stops out to blame Brexit voters for the actions of a few thugs. Today wheeling out the usual member of the Muslim Council of Britain which is busy counting the ‘hate crimes’ caused by Brexit, and a bareheaded darkhaired woman, with scarlet lipstick caked on with a large trowel. She described in accentless English how she was abused and insulted on a train and in a railway station by thugs (Leavers) telling her to get out. Yeah, right. That would not have been the reaction of such young men to a female who looked as provocative as that! If she were a Muslim, which I doubt, she had shed her hijab and modesty in make-up. The lies, manipulation and deceit are so transparent. I don’t make excuses for any thugs, but for years and years the establishment has allowed Muslims to take over large sections of many of our towns, the towns where the inhabitants were on average of lower socio-economic status, to claim openly that large parts are no-go areas for the dispossessed natives, to boast in demonstratins that they will take over our country, to replace our laws locally with sharia courts, to force our children to eat halal food, for many to refuse to speak our language, to refuse to integrate in any way, to turn high streets into sleazy slums as they board up the windows of the shops they take over. Our police have been so afraid of offending them that rape gangs have been unchecked for years, while prisons are having to operate according to the dictates of Islam. None of this has gone on under the noses or in the back-yards of the politicians, the broadcasters, the elite in general. It has gone on in the streets and backyards of those social underdogs some few of whom will react in deplorable ways. But, of course its all theLeavers’ fault.

Excellent post. I heard some of the Moral Maze programme tonight on the way back from Mass, and heard one man expound on the unfairness of the older generation being allowed to have an equal vote with the young. I don’t think we’re going to be allowed to leave, but hope I’m wrong. I also doubt the veracity of these “racist” attacks. As for the police, they are representative of the culture of today, i.e. brainwashed by political correctness, poorly educated, and hedonistic. Without Divine intervention I fear the very worst.

It most likely will end when the Pope and Bishops Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Next year is 2017. Exactly one hundred years ago, Our Lady appeared to Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, on the 13th day of each month from May to October.

How many people even today say the Rosary daily or even bother to make sacrifices, so that sinners would amend their lives and go to Heaven, or at least Purgatory rather than going to hell.
Being shown Hell must have been a terrifying experience for such young children. How many attend Mass regularly and pray the Rosary on a daily basis?

Then there is the “Third Secret” which should have been made public, at least by 1960. This Secret, has been hidden somewhere deep in the Vatican. Never made public at all. Pope John XXIII said that it was not for this time. What happened? Well, Vatican II happened. The result being that the Catholic Church, suffered the equivalent of the French Revolution, still reeling from its’ effects 50-60 years later. The effects devastating, the massive loss of Faith and more besides.

What of Our Lady’s request to Consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart?
The world has been Consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart by more than one Pope. By Pope John Paul II at least twice.

The one thing that the Pope and Bishops are sadly lacking in their duty – is Consecrating Russia, specifically Russia at the same time and on the same day. A five minute prayer is all that is needed to work that miracle. Would that miracle be more spectacular that the miracle that happened in October 1917?

No one needs the excuse that the Consecration only needs the world to be mentioned, because Russia is a country, in the world. After all, a Bishop would not consecrate his whole Diocese because a new Catholic Church had been built and was now to be opened for use.

Such a simple request, easy to comply with.

I end with the telling of Portugal’s Bishops who on the same day, Consecrated Portugal to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in the early 1930s. A miracle took place, not only was the Masonic government ousted. A Catholic government took over. The Catholic Faith flourished. The country was saved from civil war, similar to what happened in Spain. Portugal was not drawn into the Second World War.

So simple, think what would happen if Russia were Consecrated in compliance with Our Lady’s request. The alternative is too terrible to think of.

    Editor,
I had the following discussion on Médias-Presse-Info 28th June 2016: Zemmour: “the Brexit comes from the ideological and financial heart of globalization”

    29 juin 2016 à 17 h 39 min
No country of the Union will be allowed to negotiate any trade agreements nor even financial separately with the British government.
This means that Brussels has established a kind of blockade of Britain, Brussels exerts an unacceptable blackmail, illustrating how States are dependent on the European Union and firmly held in an inviolable straitjacket . This is absolutely monstrous!
Brussels wants to organize the bankruptcy of Great Britain in order to warn others who may have a desire for independence and frighten future still hesitant or liable to be influenced voters.
European leaders announced disasters if the United Kingdom left the European Union.
Now if ever Britain was doing better than before and found its former prosperity, that would be the end of Europe as we had never imagined it and which was imposed on us…
Fortunately this Tower of Babel, this monstrous edifice, will finally disappear!…

What you say is true, but only to the extent that the English political power respects the European diktats; it could very easily extract. At the moment the English power is complicit in the EU, but if the next prime minister is staunchly anti-EU, it will not be the same music.
And if it was France that would be even easier. Because the EU without France is almost over. GB is only slightly affected by the EU, it is not the same for France.

      Christina and Elizabeth,

It is now a badge of honour to be homosexual, so it’s par for the course to announce and praise the condition, these days.

Nobody ever announces that they’re living a celibate life – that’s the stuff of comedy. Incredible. The people who are living a life very likely to lead to illness (costing the NHS a packet) and possibly early death, are the stars, while the celibates (who cost Society nothing) are ignored, if not mocked.

      Diabolical disorientation? You bet!
