The Marie Stopes abortion industry is in trouble after a surprise inspection by the Care Quality Commission Read more here

This news – reported in the broadcasting and print media days ago, makes the article below, published in 2015, all the more interesting…

7 Things you did not know about Marie Stopes International
June 12, 2015

  1. They treat their staff appallingly

One Marie Stopes employee refused to comply with their anti-patient protocols and threatened to expose their behaviour. He received racist comments at work along with bullying, before being given false charges of sexual assault leading to a high profile crown court trial in March 2009 with the attendant media frenzy.

  1. Their medical practices are shocking

Former employees have testified that the abortion industry is a money driven business. Once you have a license it is just money all the way. You don’t pay taxes because you are a charity, you employ vulnerable doctors and nurses at cheap rates and exploit vulnerable girls from Ireland, Scotland and England. The managers make huge bonuses, go on expensive skiing holidays, buy designer clothes and shoes and watch porn during working hours and organise sex theme parties. Medical decisions are taken by non-medical managers. Employees are forced to counter sign consent forms without having seen the patient and often in advance. Employees have been forced to anaesthetise against the protocols of the Royal College and they told their employees that the GMC and Royal Colleges were in their pockets. In Ealing, West London, Marie Stopes have ambulances regularly called to the abortion centre (4 in a 40 day time period in 2013), as they arrive to deal with the issue of botched abortions. An Irish woman died in the same centre in January 2012, shortly afterwards, Dr Phanuel Dartey was struck off the General Medical Register in Britain for almost killing a woman in the same centre. Another Marie Stopes employee performed botched surgery on five patients after claiming he could revolutionise their sex lives.

  1. They boast about providing illegal abortions all around the world

At a conference in London in 2007, Paul Cornellisson boasted how Marie Stopes promotes illegal abortion all around the world. Marie Stopes are happy to provide abortions breaking the laws of many different countries.

  1. The British taxpayer supports their work to the tune of millions of pounds every year… Click  here to read the entire list of 7…

Comment:

It’s very good news that the Stopes’ clinics are being exposed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) but the whole scandal of abortion law in the UK seems to be dulled in the Catholic conscience. Two of the so called  Catholic weekly publications are reporting the suspension of services at Marie Stopes as being welcomed by “Pro-Lifers” –  making a distinction between those actively working in the pro-life movement and Catholics in general.

No Government is particularly bothered about a few activists fighting for their preferred causes but it might make a difference if they thought the votes of every Catholic depended on the policy of political parties to ending abortion [and, indeed, the other immoral laws which attack the natural moral law]. Voting for individual “pro-life” candidates doesn’t cut it. The individual politicians don’t make policy, so the aim has to be to get political parties to change their policy and to commit themselves to ending the murdering of unborn babies. You are welcome to express your view on this, although the really interesting discussion is likely to centre on which one of “the 7 things you did not know about Marie Stopes International” you consider to be the most important fact to have in your armoury when in debate with the pro-abortionists.

Thank you dear Patricia for having the courage to print so much information re M Stopes aka .Mass Slaughter …….The CQC have really uncovered a nest of vipers here and of course BPAS aka Being Pregnant Annoys Some …is rubbing its hands at all the extra custom it will be getting .
However it is a wonderful golden opportunity for Pro Lifers to get a say …PLEASE write in droves to the CQC..Citygate ..Gallowgate …Newcastle Upon tyne ….NEI 4PA…praising them for their diligence and portraying deep concerns with the whole abortion subject….. of abortions through pills in Drs Surgerys ..medical after care…underage abortions etc .
it is not often we get a chance to be proved right and as I say half a loaf is better than none ..The silence from the abortion camp is deafening ..it just goes to show how much they care for the Wimmin they scream and state want abortion on demand which we have !!!!
it also smashes to smitherines the abortionist Mantra of SAFE AND LEGAL it has now been proven it is not
Special Prayers to Our Blessed of Lady of Guadalupe please and Novenas please
And to all the brave people who in all Weathers faithfully Witness outside these charnal houses and Hospitals well done

      Wendy,

Thank you for that. As well as the postal address which you’ve given, I’ve found a contact form on the CQC website, so it is possible to email them our concerns. I’ll do so tomorrow. Here’s the link to the form.

I encourage all bloggers to write to praise them, as Wendy suggest – either by post or via the Contact Form – praising their diligence and perhaps letting them know one or some of the facts about Marie Stopes International, published above in the blog introduction.

I agree with that completely. It’s quite disturbing that the Bishops haven’t made more of an effort to bring this to the attention of the MPs and to get the message across that Catholics are not able to vote for any party that is continuing the state-sanctioned murder of unborn babies.

Spot on. That is one major negligence for which they will answer at their Judgment. The Bishops talk incessantly about caring for the poor and vulnerable while seldom mentioning the most vulnerable human beings of all – and never do they speak out strongly, with conviction, against abortion. Disgraceful. The only priest who did so in Scotland – Fr Morrow RIP – was treated like an outcast, even publicly criticised at a pro-life gathering in the cathedral in Glasgow, by none other than the archbishop of the day – Archbishop Mario Conti. Truly incredible. I heard this from someone I know well and absolutely trust who was present at the event, or I’d have found it impossible to believe.

This isn’t mentioned in one of the 7 points, but an investigation also ought to be done as to whether Marie Stopes is selling body parts of aborted babies, as Planned Parenthood was caught doing here in the USA. It was and is a horrifying scandal which has resulted in some states de-funding the baby-killers…but of course, not the Obama federal government, which is the most militant pro-abortion administration, and president, in history.

    • editor

      RCA Victor,

That’s a great point. However, even if the Stopes outfit were to be revealed as engaged in that kind of scandal, the problem here is that nobody would be overly bothered if they were found to be selling the body parts of murdered babies. Consciences are so deadened now, that I can just hear Joe & Josephine Public, defending the practice.

A brilliant point RCA VICTOR ….we really dont know half many years ago now the Holy Fr Morrow R I P found vans used to go to certain abortion mills and collect barrrel type containers that brave Saintly Soul followed and even noticed blood dripping from the vehicles ..where did they go to ? Christies Hospital in Manchester …despite a letter writing campaign to Christies it was all ignored ….Other pro Lifers have witnessed some very suspicious things around Abortion mills too over the years …..it makes you shiver really .

I think the most important of the points is number six – revealing the kind of person Marie Stropes was and revealing her wider views.

She is the root of the whole despicable organisation, so all the other points flow back to her anyway.

It should very effective to tell people they are supporting a criminal organisation which was founded by a racist / nazi / eugenicist.

However, people who do not unequivocally condemn abortion clearly have some kind of moral blind spot and so facts do not always have the desired effect.

A major problem is how twisted the presentation of the topic in the media is. Many people in the modern day cannot form their own considered opinions and can only regurgitate what the media has fed them instead.

And so often you encounter people who have the most erroneous views on the subject, angrily defending a mythical “right to choose” (which they think exists in law) and denying established science by claiming a new life doesn’t exist at the moment of conception.

Sadly many people in society are “useful idiots” to the abortion industry.

    August 23, 2016 at 10:29 pm
    • editor

      Gabriel Syme,

I see why you chose number 6 on the list – totally shocking.

However, I found myself thinking that number 5 would be a corker to use in any discussion about abortion with those in favour of it, who routinely trot out the argument that abolishing the 1967 Abortion Act would mean a return to back street abortions. Here’s number 5, just to refresh memories:

      5. Some of their clinics are still in the backstreets

Marie Stopes in Fallowfield, Manchester is still located in the backstreets. Dr Rachel McNair has researched abortionists, and concluded, “There are plenty of horror stories from pre-Roe days… if those horror stories have not stopped, then perhaps it’s not the legal nature of abortion that’s the problem. Maybe it’s the nature of abortion, period.” Making abortions legal didn’t magically make them safe overnight. What was happening in the backstreets, just became normal. END.

Now, be honest, Gabriel Syme: is that a corker, or what?

Yes it is ..a lot of Mills are tucked away in leafy lanes and of course now in Drs surgerys so they do their filthy deeds in a room of someones Surgery diabolical in itself …or they have suites in big buildings as in Milton Keynes killing babies while people are working next door and passing by on hte Street ..disgusting
These abortionist like to be hidden but in Ealing London a plaque depicting St Michael The Archangel in combat with The devil is on the wall of one abortion mill because Ihear it was a Convent and I also believe a very busy mill inTwickenham was also a Convent ..obscene isnt it ?…Also a mill in Manchester was formerly a childrens home I hear
And the mill in Warwickshire recently closed was surrounded by acres of beautiful Countryside very strange many years ago now Pro Lifers marched to that mill …as you approached the entrance to this abhorrant place wildlife and Nature was in abundance glorious Birds sang ,Butterflys ,Bees Crickets chirped Bunnies hopped , wild Flowers in abundance it was spectacular however as yo uapproached the Mill quite a long walk it became deadly quiet no noise no animal activity .nothing …I feel their instincts told them keep away ..to this day I remember it with a shiver

        Wendy Walker,

Your whole post made me shiver. How amazing is that, about St Michael, ex convents and the animals shying away from the abortion clinics. That is just amazing.

God will not be mocked. In the end, these murderers will pay for their grave crimes against humanity. That is what abortion is, and I hope some day a supreme court will recognise that and bring all involved to account.

        Dear American Heart,

In his absence, I can confirm that Gabriel Syme chose that username precisely because he has read The Man Who Was Thursday by GKC.

I’m ashamed to confess that I haven’t read it – yet!

But, don’t let your American heart break – stick around here as we have a regular USA blogger (used to be several but they’ve all taken leave of absences, except RCA Victor, if not leave of their senses!) so you will feel at home. Welcome!

If possible, please post it on your homepage. Maybe if the BBC covers this story, the US press will take notice and actually cover it.

        Margaret USA,

The BBC know fine well about Hillary Clinton but they see nothing wrong with abortion and all the other things that she supports, so they’re never going to “expose” her. So far they have not reported any of her controversies except the emails, in passing, and I’ve never seen them making a big do about them.

On the other hand, they are ridiculing Trump and reporting everything he says and does. It’s not difficult to see who they want to win.

        RCA Victor,

One of the USA bloggers, who has become a dear friend of mine, Jobstears, is just swamped with work between home and studies. I must email her to check that she is in good form, but she – and her daughters – have always been big fans of the blog, so I’m certain there is nothing sinister in her prolonged absence. Last time I checked, she was simply overwhelmed with domestic and academic pressures.

In any event, just to make sure you’re not feeling TOO lonely and abandoned stuck here with us UK-ers, I’ve just posted a new thread on the Mass, using American, Dan Graham’s brilliant article Words That Count. I’m confident it will be of much interest to our many lurkers, as well as the regular bloggers.

        Margaret USA,

The Bishops and clergy in the UK do absolutely everything they possibly can to keep the faithful AND the faithless from knowing of our existence. So, it’s interesting that “quite a few” UK bloggers have found their way onto the Remnant site. Maybe you could let them know that if they are expecting to find news of the Church in the UK (and certainly news of the Church in Scotland) on the Remnant site, then they’ll have a long wait.

Personally, I think point no. 6, that Marie Stopes was a real eugenicist is the one I would bring up in a conversation about abortion. That shows the real aim of abortion, IMHO, to weed out the “imperfect” (disabled) and the unwanted races. It’s totally shocking. I wonder how many of her admirers actually know that and agree with her in secret?

    Dear WENDY,

We’ve just received word that an abortion center where eight 40 Days for Life vigils have taken place has gone out of business — the Planned Parenthood facility in Appleton, Wisconsin.

This latest victory — the 75th abortion center to close following a 40 Days for Life campaign outside its doors — was especially good news for Steve Karlen, our 40 Days for Life North American campaign director, who grew up just five minutes from that Planned Parenthood center in Appleton.

At the time, Steve had no idea what God had in store for his life … but his testimony of overcoming personal struggles will help you consider how to make a life-saving impact during the upcoming 40 Days for Life.

    Listen now at:

    https://40daysforlife.com/2016/05/03/podcast-18

There’s also encouraging news from North Dakota, where the state’s health department is reporting the lowest annual abortion totals in 35 years!

40 Days for Life vigils have been held outside that state’s only remaining abortion business in Fargo since 2007 … and volunteers there are getting ready for their 10th annual campaign.

And right now, a record number of other cities are poised to experience the same kind of blessings seen in Wisconsin and North Dakota …

… as communities across all 50 US states and 23 countries prepare to launch the largest worldwide pro-life mobilization in history: the UNITED 40 Days for Life campaign, happening from September 28 – November 6!

    Find your closest location at:

    https://40daysforlife.com/browse-campaigns

What could happen in your city?

With God’s guidance and help, you could see the local abortion facility close … or the abortion numbers dive to all-new lows.

Take the first step by finding the closest location for the 40 Days for Life campaign that starts on September 28, and getting involved:

I didn’t know Marie Stopes was born in Edinburgh – how awful to think she’s a Scot, spreading all that evil propaganda about eugenics etc.

      Wendy Walker,

Again, thank you for that link – you are doing a great job educating me, if nobody else LOL!

I am shocked that Marie Stopes was so cruel to her own son but why does he defend her? It’s just all so hard to believe, and she is treated like a heroine by the media. I’ve never seen a documentary exposing all this stuff about her, just proves the media bias – as long as someone is promoting contraception and abortion, the media will protect them, it seems to me.

Wendy, I think you may recall from States-side some years ago, it was claimed that ‘abortion mills are often staffed with third-rate medics from overseas, with little or no qualificatons’.

I agree very much with this from the blue comment:

“No Government is particularly bothered about a few activists fighting for their preferred causes but it might make a difference if they thought the votes of every Catholic depended on the policy of political parties to ending abortion [and, indeed, the other immoral laws which attack the natural moral law]. Voting for individual “pro-life” candidates doesn’t cut it.”

It is really shameful how we have come to take the attitude “just live with it” as if killing unborn babies is somehow not so serious as other killings.

Wendy Walker, many thanks for your links keeping the issue of MS before our eyes. It’s a wonder we are not hearing these shocking stories in the broadcasting media, radio, TV news and debates etc. You have to ask how many of the people involved in those businesses have had abortions and want to keep the law as it is.

Here here Michaela well said ……..Sadly being Catholic does not make you Pro LIfe these days …or Christian ,Muslim or Buddhist either no religion guarentees this very sad ….The total ignorance surrounding the subject is horrific and the fact people go for Abortions not aware of the facts or the risks is astounding …Only yesterday I heard a dreadful story from outside a mill BPAS ..a young woman came out after taking first M A P ..when a brave and loyal witnesser spoke to her she had no idea it was abortifaciant and much more .
You will not see this on the News only when some super rich mouthpiece speaks out for abortion do they get top story notch of how brave they are speaking up for…. wimmins wrongs ….Therefore Pro Lifers have to keep hammering home calling editors ,e -mails ,letters talking to people like valiant ABORT 67 do …..We need really strong Pro Life Groups that DARE to grasp the very painful nettle not apologists who shy away from the hard truth the abortionists do not miss a trick we cannot either so much is at stake ….
It is tiring ,it is painful ,it is demoralising but it is a must …little lives ..our future are at risk .Thank you

At least Helen Brook had the decency to leave the Catholic Church instead of trying to change it from within, as the liberals are trying to do these days.

I notice that she was one of six children. It always amazes me that people from large families favour contraception. I wonder which of her siblings she would have liked to erase from her memory and from the planet?

Along those same lines, there’s a quote that I like which is attributed to Ronald Reagan (though I’m guessing it may just have originated from one of his speechwriters) when he said, “It’s interesting how all those people in favour of abortion have already been born.”

At the centre of the abortion industry, ignoring all intellectual and emotional claptrap to the contrary, is pure and utter selfishness. It all comes back to selfish and self-indulgent human beings who don’t want to take responsibility and will latch on to any excuse to rid themselves of it.

The Catholic Church in its wisdom realised the horrors and wrongs of so called contraception …..look at what it has led to and more as we slip further down the slippery slope into the mire of destruction it makes horrific and sad reading
