Fatima, the Left, and the Coming Terror

Fatima, the Left, and the Coming Terror

Latest Fatima Center E-Newsletter

“Terror is nothing more than speedy, severe and inflexible justice; it is thus an emanation of virtue; it is less a principle in itself, than a consequence of the general principle of democracy, applied to the most pressing needs of the patrie.”
– Maximilien Robespierre, 1794

The Rage of the Left and the Coming Terror

In 1989, France marked the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution. It was a strained celebration, for even its most ardent apologists were compelled to admit the bloody and sordid nature of much that the Revolution encompassed. The guillotine remains its most enduring symbol.

The revolutionary leaders called for freedom, equality and brotherhood, and then proceeded to kill anyone deemed to stand in the way of these noble ideals, eventually murdering one another in the paroxysm of a brutal power struggle. (See:  “The 14 Bloodiest, Most Brutally Horrific Moments of the French Revolution”.)

In 1989, Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev went to Paris to participate in the bicentennial celebration and said, “The spirit of the French Revolution has always been present in the social life of our country.” As columnist Charles Krauthammer then observed: “Few attempts at ingratiation have been more true or more damning.”

The bloodbath and horrors of communism have much in common with the bloodbath and horrors of what is now called “The Terror.” The Bolsheviks and the French Revolutionaries both relied on political assassination, domestic spying, denunciations and imprisonments, show trials and the criminalization of all dissent. Both terrorized the populace while committing their crimes in the name of “the People.” Tyrants always claim a democratic mandate.

The French Revolution’s Committee for Public Safety condemned to death almost 17,000 people in one year. (See:  “Reign of Terror”.)  This is a negligible body count when laid against the tens of millions that have been sacrificed on the altar of communism. We prefer to think that men such as Robespierre and Stalin are creatures of bygone eras and that conditions no longer allow for such horrors to be perpetrated. Perhaps, we should think again.

The Pope and the Antifa

Pope Francis has been called the new leader of the global Left. He has not demurred from the acclimation. He has been flatteringly featured in publications that can hardly be considered supportive of Catholic teaching, such as Rolling Stone. He has been praised by leaders of the pro-abortion movement, such as Hillary Clinton. Those who favor unrestricted Muslim immigration in the West and open borders feel they have a friend in Francis, and they are seldom disappointed.

But those who favor traditional Church teaching, including the indissolubility of marriage and the norms for receiving the sacraments, have felt the sting of the Pope’s rebuke and been subjected to personal insult. He does not answer dubia — questions concerning his positions; he denigrates the questioners. The ad hominem attack is his default mode. (See:  “Now Francis Targets ‘Rigid’ Youth: But what does “rigid” mean? And why does Francis never tell us?”.)

Pope Francis acts more like a politician courting a constituency than the Vicar of Christ propagating a timeless teaching (See:  “An Interview with George Neumayr, Author of The Political Pope). His tactics are those of a candidate trying to undermine his opponent by character assassination. Missing from the voluminous homilies, speeches, interviews and press conferences of this pontiff is reasoned argument for his positions. (See:  “The Laity Roar While the Cardinals Meow: The Catastrophe that is Amoris Laetitia.) He relies on caricature, invective and vague “gospel” imperatives, which have an elasticity that can be adapted to most any circumstance.

Francis denounces “populism” as dangerous and fascistic whenever he disagrees with the “people.” Otherwise, he defends popular fashions in morals and ideology, often opposing the “living” reality of the times to the outmoded intransigence of traditional doctrine. He is with you so long as you are with him. We have never had a Pope who is so divorced from the normal exercise of his office and so eager for the approbation of the ruling classes, that is, the globalist Left. (See:  “For 2017 More of the Same: Leftist Politics Wrapped in the Language of Catholic Piety”.)

Meanwhile, the Left with which the Pope has aligned himself has suffered some setbacks, and it is not taking them well. Donald Trump has won the presidency of the United States; a “conservative” has been appointed to the Supreme Court. The unholy alliance of the “deep state” with its political masters is being exposed. The intelligence community is now known to be corrupt and untrustworthy. Democrats still control the media, but are hemorrhaging popular support. They appear more and more like generals without an army.

In Europe, the United Kingdom is leaving the European Union. French nationalism is rising. Poland and Hungary are resisting Muslim immigration. And the narrative of current events is no longer tightly controlled by the propaganda arm of globalism — that is, the major news outlets — but is coming into public view, in factual and unedited form, from a growing number of information sites via the Web.

The Left has not, until recently, been called upon to defend itself. The ruling elites were protected from hard questioning by a supportive media that vilified anyone who subjected their positions to scrutiny. The media, like the Pope, resorts to the ad hominem attack as a matter of course. But their credibility is greatly diminished and the media’s fairness and accuracy are now being subjected to a scrutiny they have never before had to face. The control of the Left, which appeared so formidable for so long, is now unravelling.

The late John Vennari once memorably said that logic and liberalism cannot co-exist in the same head. Traced to its principle, a liberal position tends to fall apart from lack of coherence, internal contradiction or a collision with obvious facts. That Islam is a “Religion of Peace” is an example of a patently absurd liberal position; yet, every globalist, from George Bush to Angela Merkel to Pope Francis, has repeated this absurdity with the apparent expectation that it will be believed — or that people will fear to contradict the claim because the media will discredit and destroy anyone who dissents. (See:  “America Magazine Frets over Catholics’ Lack of Love for Islam”.) Facts, for the Left, are irrelevant. It is the narrative that is important, and the narrative can be shaped to suit the needs of the moment.

The Left is demonic in that its position is that of Lucifer: it wants to usurp the prerogatives of the Creator and refashion the world according to its likes and dislikes. It reverses Our Lord’s prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane and says, “Not Thy will, but mine be done.”  And it uses whatever tool is at hand to smash the natural order that stands in its way. Muslim immigration is just a tool for smashing what remains of European Christian culture. Transgenderism is a tool for smashing what remains of traditional sexual morality. Entitlement programs are a tool for smashing what remains of personal self-reliance. And all of this destruction is done in the name of compassion, of mercy. To oppose globalism is to be mean, bigoted, un-Christian. (See:  “Pope Francis Suggests Donald Trump Is ‘Not Christian’”.) It is to build walls instead of bridges. It is to invite finger wagging and invective from the Pope.

And while the Pope is vilifying the Left’s opponents daily at the Casa Santa Marta, mobs of masked “protesters” are appearing in cities across America and Europe. They are called the Antifa – for anti-fascists. It is a bit of Orwellian Newspeak from the Left’s Ministry of Truth. The Antifa disguise their faces, shout obscenities, beat people up, hurl trash cans through windows, set cars on fire, block traffic and shout down anyone who would say anything with which they disagree. They oppose free speech, freedom of assembly for any group they dislike, and are prepared to use violence if they don’t get what they want. The Antifa are, in short, fascists. (See:  “What is ‘Antifa’? And why is the media so reluctant to expose it?”.)

In Berkeley, they enjoy the protection of the University administration, the mayor and the police. (See:  “WOW! BERKELEY MAYOR Who Allegedly Told Police To ‘Stand Down’ Is Part Of Antifa Terrorist Facebook Group”.) We are asked to believe that the police force is no match for this rabble and therefore cannot guarantee the physical safety of conservative speakers, such as Ann Coulter. How stupid does the Left think the public is? There is collusion on a growing scale between the Left, the street mobs they incite and direct and the parts of the government they still control. That the Left is turning to orchestrated violence is a sign of things to come. If they cannot succeed through electoral politics, they will try to assert their will through social disruption, through fear, and then blame the chaos and bloodshed on the victims, the so-called fascists who had to be opposed for the sake of freedom and justice.

Just how far will the Left go to regain the power they have temporarily lost? This remains to be seen. One thing is apparent, however: civil discourse is no longer on the table. This is a struggle for raw power in which every outrage against decency is being justified in the name of “saving our democracy.” Network television programs now feature obscene rants against Trump and Republicans as a matter of course. The foulest language and fiercest hatred is countenanced as “entertainment.” It appears probable that the situation will only grow worse, for recent history shows that once the bar of decency has been lowered, it is never raised again. We can only descend at this point to ever more repulsive and brutish behavior on the part of the media in support of the Left.

The Long View and What We Can Expect

There is a professor in Berkeley named George Lakoff. He specializes in something called “cognitive linguistics.” Lakoff has long aspired to a role in politics, having offered his services to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He is now counseling the Left on how it should regroup in light of the Trump victory. What he urges is what he calls “framing” the debate through the use of metaphors — that is, inventing appealing names for repellent things. (See:  “Moral Politics (book)”.)

His premise is that of the elite class: most people are too stupid to know what is in their best interest. The direction of their lives is best left in the hands of their intellectual and moral superiors, i.e. Lakoff and the Left. Hobbled by a nominal democracy, however, the smart people are compelled to manipulate the obtuse proletariat. Lakoff says this can best be done by using words that bypass reason and reach the unconscious, for reason is wasted on the masses. (See:  “The Framing Wars”.)

Conservatives supposedly believe in what Lakoff calls the “Strict Father” model of the family, which he describes as authoritarian and cruel; it is opposed to the goodness and light of what he calls the “nurturant parent” model, favored by the benevolent Left. Lakoff wants the Left to use language to move people from the authoritarian model of the family to the nurturant parent model. But Lakoff’s strategy requires patience. It is also seen by some on the Left as academic theorizing that may or may not hold good in the real world. Meanwhile, the Left is opting for the fascism of the Antifa. It is trying to shut down the opposition through suppressing free speech.  But Lakoff’s approach may also be tried.

Lakoff wants Democrats to stop using terms such as “federal regulations” and to talk instead about “protections.” He suggests the word “taxes” be replaced by the word “investments.” The media is always amenable to offering what help it can to “progressives,” for whom Lakoff is a self-appointed strategist, so we are likely to hear more linguistic legerdemain in the near future. The Associated Press Style Book has long used its power to push the Left’s agenda. The AP forbids the use of “pro-life” and “pro-abortion,” allowing only the term “pro-choice.” Most every newspaper and news outlet uses the AP as its usage guide. The media are likely to become the linguistic arm of the Antifa.

We should be alert to the fact that the Left is regrouping and a new language is being invented for presenting its agenda. Meanwhile, we can expect the street violence and the media assault against Trump to continue unabated. The public may tire of the turmoil and decide that Trump is too divisive a figure, a claim which the media will amplify in every way as the next election cycle approaches. If and when the Left manages to defeat its opposition, it will exercise power with an unprecedented ruthlessness. It has already discarded civil discourse and adopted the position that anyone who opposes them does not deserve a hearing, as their opponents are presumed to be motivated by racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, religious bigotry and consummate evil and stupidity of every description.

Their opponents are deemed hateful, and why should hateful people be given any quarter? Why should such deplorables be allowed to speak, or even exist? The brigades of the Antifa will be let loose, aided by all the apparatus of the government and media. The spirit of Robespierre, the patron saint of the Left, will be triumphant. How bloody will it get? It is beyond present imagination, for we find it difficult to accept possibilities that are deeply repugnant to us. But we have history as a guide.

All of the above takes into account only the human factors that shape events. There is the overarching power of Providence that can intervene at any time in unforeseen ways. We have a Pope who has sided with the Left and is trying to convince, even compel, Catholics to support the globalist agenda. The doctrinal patrimony of the Catholic Church is endangered by Francis’ alliances. No human power can effectively oppose his politicization of the Faith. Where do we turn?

Our Lady of Fatima said, “Only I can help you.” Perhaps the time is coming when the whole world will realize the truth of Her words.

This is an excellent presentation of our lives as members of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic, and, members of other religions, and, anyone who loves little babies or large families … or any family of Mother, Dad, Child. They hate us all. And they have more money … (Soros?) The media plays an important part in spreading the hate. What is the answer? One is to form a concerted, and, loud campaign to get rid of your TV. They care about ratings.

The ‘Left’ is being punished with the mental spiritual ” operation of error” to believe lie
A darkened mind as St. Paul tells us in Thessalonians: 2. After that will come hell if they do not convert. What about us? We are in for it on this earth.

We need a St. Catherine of Sienna to go visit Pope Franciscus and make him define his words … he slings ‘rigid’ all over the place. No one dares question him. Yet, we must care about him even as He strikes fear in the heart of the Catholic. Who will go? Who will?

The end is in sight The Bishop in White will consecrate Russia. Benedict XVI? Or the Bishop in white “who appears to be the Holy Father?”

I don’t think any of the bad guys in power are too worried about “members of other religions.”

Just as ISIS have made it clear that their ultimate goal is Rome, to place their flag on the top of St Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican – no other “religion” mentioned (there really is only one true religion, anyway, as you know.) Check out this report

Hi Editor, I was just trying to differentiate between Catholic and ‘other’, not being a fan of ecumenism. In fact, being a foe of it. I love your Catholic Truth blog.

Ecumenism, such as it is practiced, leads to relativism and consequently to apostasy…
Without certainty nor rectitude, religion has no meaning; it is no longer in the economy of salvation. It constitutes, at best, a simple fraternal community from which all perspectives of eternity are evacuated.
It is in fact a matter of a spiritual misappropriation.

Thanks Lionel, I believe in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, built upon the Rock, St. Peter. No ecumenism for me. Ever.

The search for unity in diversity is to rebuild the Tower of Babel, whereas unity in truth embodies truly catholic ecumenism.
I would like to know how it is possible to reconcile different and sometimes opposing ideas while remaining honest with ourselves as well as with God?
In other words, it is essential to know what we want and seek to know the One in whom and in what we believe, to acquire the intelligence of knowledge, to seek in all things the Truth, for Jesus, our God and Sovereign Lord, said: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14: 6). “He who believes in me has eternal life” (John 6: 47-48). “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I in him” (John 6: 56-57).
Any other consideration is not from divine inspiration. That must be remembered, even at the cost of renouncing a “unity” which can only be a lure unrelated to the unity desired by God and that He alone will grant us the day He will have chosen in his infinite and unfathomable wisdom.
This is the unity I believe in and desire.
I also believe in the exclusivity of the grace that we will receive from the Most Holy Virgin Mary Immaculate, if we know how to ask her (January 18, 2004).

I’ve been to Malta – I’m really not sure that it would survive a visit from you, as well 😀

As a matter of interest, during my visit to Malta, I was lolling in the hotel lobby, killing time by reading one of the newspapers, and discovered that they were discussing the introduction of divorce over there. Imagine my surprise, then, on turning to the Letters Page, to see a letter from one of our readers (in England) arguing that they ought really NOT to do that since it had destroyed stable family life in the UK. Catholic Truth readers – the best!

When you deny the Sanctity of the marital act, you deny That God, The Ordered Communion of Perfect Love, Is The Author of Love, of Life, and of Marriage, and thus you deny Salvational Love, God’s Gift of Grace and Mercy.

It is about Marriage, In Heaven and on Earth.

Right before our very eyes,The Church of The Sacred, and the reformed church of false ecumenism which denies The Sacred, sit side by side at Fatima.

Our Lady appeared at Fatima to warn us; The Truth of Love Was In The Beginning, Is Now, And Forever Will Be. Truth does not evolve. “IAm The Way, The Truth, and The Life (Light).”

No Creator, No Creation, No Original sin, no Redemption.
No BrideGroom, no Bride, no Holy Mother Church
No marriage in Heaven or on Earth.
The atheist materialist continue to spread thier error.

The denial of The Filioque is the source of all heresy; There Is only One Word of God, One Truth of Love Made Flesh, One Lamb of God Who Taketh Away The Sins of The World, Our Savior, Jesus The Christ, thus there can only be One Spirit of Perfect Love Between The Father and The Son, Who Proceeds from both The Father and The Son, in The Ordered Communion of Perfect Complementary Love, The Most Holy And Undivided Blessed Trinity.

To deny The Unity of The Holy Ghost, (Filioque) is to deny The Ordered Communion of Perfect Complementary Love Between The Father and The Son, and thus deny Salvational Love, God’s Gift of Grace and Mercy.

It is Through, With, and In Christ, in the Unity of The Holy Ghost, that Holy Mother Church exists.

One Bridegroom, One Bride, One Holy Mother Church, outside which, there is no Salvation, although there will be some, hopefully, a multitude, who, like The Good Thief, will come late to The Fold.

“Our Lady was the one who prevailed on her Son to work His first miracle at Cana in Galilee. She is still the one, through whose intercession He wants to perform miracles now, on earth, in our day.”

One bridegroom, one bride, on earth.

One Bridegroom, One Bride, (One Holy Mother Church), in Heaven.

“And he said to me: Write: Blessed are they that are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith to me: These words of God are true.”

At the end of the day, it is still a Great Mystery, but it is no mystery that no Greater Love is there than this-to desire Salvation for one’s beloved.

Francis is without doubt a wolf in Sheep Clothing. As it says above his priorities are far from the trying to be Faithful Catholic. Chaos is the best friend of Satan and Francis seems to covet Chaos. He speaks in more riddles than what you would hear in the latest Batman Movie to the extent that he would make better sense speaking in Braille . He praises Muslims and Lutheran Heretics to the heavens yet criticises Faithful Catholics as being to strong in the Faith. He wants to teach about Global Warming ( yet without the whole of China stopping burning fossil fuels NOW it is useless) instead of teaching about the one True Holy and Apostolic Church.

What is your opinion about the article from the Fatima Center? Is there any particular part of it that made you think that, perhaps, the “terror” really IS coming? Having a go at Pope Francis doesn’t really tell us if you have understood the article and its implications fully.

Ed I have a couple of Grandchildren and even leaving out The words of Our Lady let’s face it things are not looking good . I would certainly say that as far as Russia is concerned Our Blessed Mother really didn’t ask anything hard . Am no Saint but our World is going out of control. At the moment I personally think without doubt the biggest threat to mankind is Korea which is a Godless Hellhole . On looking last month at their Day of The Sun ceremony there wasn’t one person over 40 Forby Kim’s Generals in the Thousands forced to attend . This to me says it certainly isn’t a Country to be visited if your Elderly and I mean over 50 . The reason I mention my Grandchildren is that I fear for the Future for them not me . On the Francis issues which are many am not even convinced the mans a committed Catholic . God Bless Take Care . J. D.

Yes, things are certainly NOT looking good, FOOF, but I wouldn’t say “leaving out the words of Our Lady” since she did warn that Russia would spread her errors and North Korea is certainly one of those errors. Check out the history – and the geography.

I think this is a marvelous article, fully in touch with the harsh and even brutal reality of the timeless war between the “mystery of iniquity” and Heaven, which is rapidly reaching its minor denouement (the major denouement being the reign of the antichrist), The ancient foe no longer exists, proclaims the blind Francis, but the new foes are rigidity, capitalism, and climate change! Meanwhile, while Francis is busy smelling the sheep and making a fool of himself, some members of his favorite religion are planning to take Rome and cut off his head.

As for the identity of terror methods used by the French Revolution and the Bolshevik Revolution, that is only to be expected, since both were fomented and directed by Freemasonry and the Illuminati element hidden within Freemasonry. Currently, the demonic forces have apparently decided that the soft, incremental approach to world tyranny (creeping bureaucratic socialism) is weakening, and must be shored up with violence (Bolshevism and its German counterpart, Nazism)..

WHERE did you get that? It’s hilarious. Now in the 1930s, MGM got slapped with a $ 5000.00 fine (3,863.25 £) by the Hays Office for using the d— word in Gone With the Wind. As Cole Porter once wrote: Anything Goes…

Sure, the climate changes. It always has and it always will, but blaming this change on carbon is ludicrous. Plants need carbon. They live on it and so need it. Mankind simply has to adapt, as it has in the past.
    We have to adapt.
Here in Western Australia where I live, we received no rain at all throughout the month of April. We missed out on rain for a total of 39 days. We have had two days this month when we have had a little rain. On the first day we received 8mm and two days ago we received 2mm and we should get a bit more on Sunday. We need water of course and now we are relying on two large desalination plants which have been built in the last six years.
    We have to adapt.

This is one of the best letters from the Fatima Center http://www.Fatima.org. I’m glad that CT supports them and promotes the full Message of Fatima.

Two things will end the crisis in the Church:

    1) the revelation of the Third Secret of Fatima, I.e. the exact words of Our Lady which follow: “In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved…”

    2) the Collegial Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Holy Father in union with all the bishops of the world.

      Margaret USA,

I’m also glad that CT supports the Fatima Center, as they are the only reliable source for Fatima news on the web.

The article up at the top is excellent and really makes me think that there will be “terror” coming our way. No wonder Our Lady came to warn us in 1917!

        Dear Laura,

I heartily agree that the Fatima Center http://www.fatima.org is the only reliable source for Fatima news. All the other Fatima sources either ignore the necessity of the Collegial Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary or say that it’s already done (which as we know is patently false).

When +Fr. Nicholas Gruner died, I could imagine him before the throne of God asking Him if he could continue to work for Our Lady of Fatima. I can imagine +John Vennari doing the same thing. May they intercede for us and beg God for an end to the crisis in the Church, the revelation of the Third Secret of Fatima and the Collegial Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

O dear Lord, cleanse the souls of +Fr. Nicholas Gruner and +John Vennari in Thy Precious Blood and take them to Heaven where they will love Thee and Thy Immaculate Mother, the ever-Virgin, among the Angels and the Saints. Amen.

Christ is risen from the dead, conquering death by death, and to those in the tombs bestowing life.

Try a Scottish (albeit un-sunny) island – you can forget all about the real world up there… 😀

There are beaches and plenty of nuts, although not so sure about the coco part, and you’ll find an SSPX priest on one of them – unscramble the letters in the space below to work out which one…

        Dear Madame Editor,

I thought that the Transalpine Redemptorists on Papa Stronsay (the answer to your island quiz 😉) were not with the SSPX any more but were “regularized” some years ago. Did I miss something? (You know us poor, benighted Americans… 😉).

No, Margaret, you’re right about those monks – they still live and move and eat their porridge on Papa Stronsay (the small island close to the main island, Stronsay). And as you say, they have left the SSPX. However, one of the priests didn’t – Father Nicholas Mary remained with the Society and he lives on the main island of Stronsay where he is, effectively, parish priest to a small group of Catholics and other (real, live) sheep!

Except this weekend, when he will be addressing our Conference on the topic of Pope Francis & Fatima… Joining Up The Dots!

        Dear Madame Editor,

Thank you for connecting the dots. When my friend and I used to go to St. Jude’s (SSPX) outside of Philadelphia, they’d have in the bookstore issues of Catholic, which was published (maybe it still is?) by the Transalpine Redemptorists when they were affiliated with the SSPX. I have the following from back issues of Catholic:

        * the story of St. Joseph’s staircase (Athanasius, yours truly et al commented on this earlier),

        * the last will and testament of John Shakespeare, the father of the Bard,

        * innumerable stories about Ukrainian Catholic saints and the Society of St. Josaphat

I have 2 or 3 files of clippings from Catholic. I can’t get rid of them because when they separated from the SSPX, St. Jude’s stopped carrying Catholic.

Also, the reason I stopped going to St. Jude’s is because the cantor at my Ukrainian Greek Catholic parish passed away on Bright Tuesday 2011. I had to serve my own parish as a lay cantor (men can be *ordained* cantors, but men are so scarce in our parish that I have to do this). Since the Divine Liturgy is always sung (except the Creed & Prayer before Holy Communion), someone *has* to lead the singing. I learned from our cantor how to sing the Liturgy, so that’s how I ended up doing it.

Please forgive the diversion into my curriculum vitae, but I thought I should connect the dots for you 😉.

        In Christ the King,

That’s all very interesting, indeed. I remember “Catholic” – in fact, I had something published in there – an article on Catholic education, I think, not sure. My memory is only slightly better than this lady’s…

Just Google the topic (or in the above case Google memory jokes) and then click “images” – if you want to be sure of getting clipart or a cartoon, add those words. Then click on the picture you like and then click on “visit image” and then click the link in your browser, bring it back here and paste it.

I hope this is not too much of a distraction, but the Tradition in Action website (operated by Atila Guimaraes, author of the 11-vol. devastating analysis of Vat. II), has posted several articles regarding a “Third Secret” whose handwriting matches Sister Lucy’s. I don’t know what to make of the text of this document, but it doesn’t seem authentic (and Senor Guimaraes has listed several anomalies).

I’d be very interested in knowing what our bloggers think of this.

      RCA Victor,

I’ve just quickly skimmed the first link but my gut reaction is one of scepticism. I will, however, take a closer look asap and check out the second link. You will appreciate that I’m up to my eyes in Conference preparation so I’m unlikely to get time to properly study the links for a few days. I’m interested, though, but so far, very sceptical. I look forward to seeing what others think.

      RCA Victor,

That is indeed some whopper. But, will Pope Francis Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and, order the Bishops to join him in doing so?

I seriously doubt it, despite the fact that May 13th 2017 is the 100th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady to the three children at Fatima.

No need to spell it out the rejection of Our Lady’s rejection of her request for that specific Consecration.

I was more focused, actually, on Francis identifying himself as the “Bishop dressed in white.” I had to wonder whether he was trying to design his own martyrdom, with his destruction of the Church and his cozying up to the Moslems….

I’ve been there, been maligned in the local press and have got the T-shirt. It started with the Guardian naming me for suggesting in my humble blog of about 50 visits a week, that people were afraid of Moslems and their fear was understandable. Since I was standing for UKIP at the time little me was attacked by the paper as Islamaphobic. Then a local reporter came round to my door. I foolishly invited her in. I had after the Rigby affair sent an e-mail to the local Mosque knowing they would be afraid just like many Irish were after IRA bombing and assuring them the majority of people were on their side in this. However when I invited her to see the e-mail she spat our “I am only interested n your views on homosexuals” Again in my blog I had mentioned during the Gay Marriage debate that there was a great deal of promiscuity among Gays. Feeling insulted I ordered her out of the house. However she printed the story in the Gazette covering the Moslems and the Gays with my phot plastered all over the page which she had taken from a previous story. It did not bother me much since I have friends in the Labour Party, the decent kind, the Conservatives and even the Lib Dems. I decided to go to appeal on this one and my appeal was upheld since she had broken so many newspaper rules. Of course I got the highest Ukip vote in Basingstoke since people were appalled at how the media was behaving at the time 2014. I am not a member of any party now and I certainly will not be going out fighting for any party. Politics is now very nasty and as the writer of the article pointed out there is a definite swing to the Far Left so there will be more name calling, more demonstrations, more people called fascist, bigot, Islamophobic , homophobic, as the writer says. In a recent election in the Netherlands the socialists were almost wiped out, and this was the story also in France. I am only hoping it happens in the UK. I found it very strange that Sidiq Khan was the hero in London when he became Mayor, A surveys showed that 100% of Moslems oppose homosexuality and 100% are opposed to Abortion, They also undertake Genital mutilations on their young and send off many young girls to be married at 14. As for Islam being a Religion of Peace, I saw a video of two people debating this point. The audience before the debate were in favour of the motion but the young Moslem arguing against the motion was a young Moslem girl called Ayaan Hirsi. She had been brought up a Moslem but was now rebelling against the imposition of Shariah Law which she claimed did not come from the Koran. She went through all the sufferings of the young girls and the way they were treated and how it was at the Iranian Revolution that this militant harsh line Moslem thinking began. She won the debate in the end and the audience agreed that at the moment Islam was not a Religion of Peace.

Praise be Jesus Christ, now and forever!!!

Our Profession of Faith states, Una, sancta, catholica et apostolica ecclesia. There are no brother, cousin or sister Churches, The Protestants as well as the Orthodox are outside the Church. The Church is in complete union with Itself. The Church does not need to change in order to achieve union. Anyone who states that the truth changes according to the times ceases to be Catholic. This new theology of the Vatican II Church, concerning Ecumenism, is nothing more than modern, liberal, theosophical, masonic BULL!!! Prior to Vatican II the word Ecumenical referred to a sacred Council. A Council which defined and declared truth while at the same time condemning error. The ecumenical movement originated from a group of heretical Protestant missionaries. The Novus Ordo Church is a New Rite, with New Sacraments and a New teaching. The modern Catholic Church has been
effectively protestanized, poisoned by protestant and modernist errors which are attacking from within. As for the truth concerning Fatima it is best to study every detailed word that came out of the mouth of Rev. Fr. Malachi Martin. I never did receive the privilege of meeting with Fr. Martin, however I did know an associate of his, Rev. Fr. Coomaraswamy. Fr. Rama and I spoke several times prior to his passing into Eternal Kingdom. All I can say is we are in for a great spiritual and physical chastisement. We have our beloved Popes to thank for this, who have usurped the authority of God.

I agree with almost every word, including your praise of Fr. Malachi Martin. It’s just a pity you spoiled it at the end by mentioning Dr. Rama Coomeraswamy who is no more in union with the Catholic Church than the Modernists he opposes, albeit his departure from the Church being at the opposite end of the spectrum from them.

Well at least you’re charitable, which means you cannot possibly be a sedevacantist. I’m just very careful about these extreme types like Dr. Coomeraswamy, Fr. Cekada, Bishop Dolan, the Dimond brothers, Fr. Paul Kramer, etc. They’re all angry men and their anger has led them into serious error. St. James was right when he said “the anger of man worketh not the justice of God”. These guys have all played their part in dividing Traditional Catholics and the cause for the old Faith.

Below read yet another manifestation of the crisis in the Church in Scotland – the following statement has been sent to the Glasgow clergy…

Mgr. Chris McElroy recently informed the Archbishop of his decision to step down from priestly ministry to allow him to reflect on his future. He will leave the Cathedral on Friday 19th May. A new Administrator will be appointed as soon as possible.

The archdiocese of Glasgow is falling apart – please pray for this priest. “Reflecting on his future” is generally a euphemism for “abandoning his priestly ministry.”

    May 18, 2017 at 2:07 pm
    • Petrus

This is another blow to an already chaotic Archdiocese. I’d love to know how many priests from Glasgow have abandoned the priesthood in recent years. It’s a shocking reflection on the leadership of the Archdiocese and , of course, the Church as a whole.

      May 18, 2017 at 2:11 pm
    • Athanasius

It’s always tragic when the devil lures another priest away from the priesthood. Let’s hope and pray that Mgr. McElroy doesn’t fall for the temptation and stays faithful to his vocation. This is all down to liberalism and the weakening of the spiritual life. God have mercy on the Catholic hierarchy for what the damage they have done to the Church with their Modernist fake spirituality.

      May 18, 2017 at 8:43 pm
    • ORIGEN

The very sanctity of the priesthood is lost. The priest is a man who becomes a servant invested with the dignity of the priesthood. The priest must carry in his heart a spirit of holiness. The priest is a pattern of justice and shall render an account to God, being faithful he shall inherit an eternal reward. The priest is meant to be the perfect reflection of the Son, who is the perfect reflection of the Father. The priest is not only called to be the perfect image of God. The priest is also called to be the perfect likeness of God. A priest is to spend every moment of his life united in prayer with the Most Holy Trinity. A priest lives a life of self-denial in service to God and man. The duties of the priest are to offer sacrifice, to bless, to govern, to preach, and to baptize. The priest must be filled with the gifts of the Holy Ghost being faithful to the Commandments, displaying soundness and maturity and knowledge. The priest must believe the Catholic doctrine he studies, teach what he has learned and practice what he has taught. The priest must reflect justice, mercy, courage, wisdom, upright character and a long-standing virtuous life. The priest must offer sacrifice for the living and the dead. The priest must inspire others by their example, and hearten them by their admonitions. The priest must keep pure and spotless the gift of his high calling. The priest should take the oath against modernism. The priest should reflect that of his teacher. The problem today is the priest does not have a teacher, no confessor and no spiritual guidance. The priest today is lost.

A sad post – we really must pray very hard for priests. The priesthood is under attack today as never before. Little wonder if we reflect on the words of St John Vianney – patron saint of priests – who said that “After God, the priest is everything”.

I asked myself the same question, but here was my answer: first, the conciliar Church says he doesn’t have to convert, and second, why would he convert to a religion which no longer believes in its own faith?

Rabbi Schiller took part in one of Fr. Gruner’s Fatima videos many years ago, saying much the same thing then as he says now. He was very friendly with Fr. Gruner and the Fatima Centre. I feel sure that Our Lady will reward this man for his honesty and integrity. May 20, 2017 at 9:26 pm

      RCA Victor,

I have to agree, I’m afraid – I’ve just visited that link and copied the following:

Hesemann: The Third Secret has been completely published, that’s for sure.

Hesemann: Our Lady of Fatima promised the conversion of Russia, which indeed took place. But unfortunately Communism still exists in North Korea and China as well as in the dominating ideology of the West. The sad truth is that, although Russia converted, although we became witnesses of the greatest miracle in history, the West lost its faith. Now we have to pray for the conversion of Western Europe and the U.S.!

Then in the comments below the article, the blog administrator writes:

Steve Skojec Mod • 2 days ago
I should note here that just because we published Dr. Hesemann’s thoughts on Fatima doesn’t (obviously, if you’ve read our other work on the topic) mean we agree with all of it.

Nevertheless, it’s an intriguing perspective from someone who has spent a lot of time with the source material. And with Fatima, you have to assemble the data you have to help carve out the shape of the data you don’t.

To which I replied as follows:

With respect, that won’t wash. By giving Dr Hesemann’s baseless theories a platform, you are complicit in leading people into more confusion and ultimately leading them away from the truth about Fatima. You are thus in danger of classifying yourself as one of the “false friends of Fatima” described by Christopher Ferrara in his book of that name.

People are confused enough as it is, with the enemies of Fatima (World Apostolate of Fatima springs to mind) peddling their lies, without a blog which makes a living out of portraying itself as “traditional” taking the same line, peddling the same lies in the name of presenting “an intriguing perspective” – it’s not “intriguing” at all; it’s just another attempt to bury the truth about Fatima and just because someone has the title “Dr” doesn’t make his “perspective” any more important than any of the others who are plain wrong about Fatima.

No traditional Catholic promotes these falsehoods about Fatima. The Consecration of Russia has not been done as specified by Our Lady; and “conversion” means conversion to the Catholic religion, not “conversion” to a different political and economic system, for goodness sake. Does this man seriously think that’s what Our Lady meant when she promised that Russia would be converted? As for his baloney about the Third Secret being fully revealed and all we need now are some letters written by Sr Lucia – tosh.

Enough of the “foot in both camps” mentality. Decide, Steve, if you are running a “traditional” (i.e. a truly Catholic) blog with authentic Catholic positions on Fatima and every other controversy, or whether you simply want to discuss “intriguing perspectives” which amount to falsehoods from “someone who has spent a lot of time with the source material” – did he speak to Father Gruner RIP? Has he read any of Father Gruner’s material? END.

i posted further comments on the Hesemann blog but have now withdrawn due to his nasty attack on Father Gruner, in response to my mention of his name. I have to agree, wholeheartedly, with you now, RCA Victor, that 1P5 is anything but reliable.

Bravo! I did not notice the other whopper (that Russia has been consecrated and converted), but you certainly and succinctly described 1P5’s problem. Sounds to me as though he has journalist’s disease (present every side of an argument in order to achieve “balance.”)

Succinct analysis, RCA Victor. Steve may have had good intentions, but this was a whopper. The Fatima Center debunked everything in that article years ago. Error has no rights, especially not in Catholic journalism.

        Madame Editor,

Thank you for defending +Fr. Nicholas Gruner on 1P5. They’ve had some really good articles but the interview with that professor was a really big disappointment (I’m trying to be charitable).

Also on 1P5, I’ve been batting Kevin Symonds (who, imho, is of the same mind as the professor). +Fr. Gruner is gone over 2 years and he is still vilified. To demean a holy priest like +Fr. Gruner is sacrilegious.

On the Byzantine Catholic calendar, the 6th Sunday of Pascha (Easter) is the Sunday of the Man Born Blind (John 9: 1-38). Imho, the Gospel is very appropriate given our tete a tete with the professor on 1P5. (And I was going to send them a donation too!).

      • Petrus

        Dear Scottish Nutjob!

I’ve just read through some of the comments on that blog and I would agree with you that we must now view it with caution.

It seems that, like Padre Pio, one can find a quote from Sr Lucia on just about anything. No wonder Our Lady told her on 13th May 1917 that she would have much to suffer!

        May 21, 2017 at 10:00 pm
      • New World Order in Christ

A Medjugorje enthusiast once told me that both Sr Lucia and Padre Pio both strongly believed in the so called apparitions at Medjugorje. I told her that Padre Pio died before the so called apparitions began. I even proved it by showing a website that had his date of death on it. She said it must be made up by somebody who was inspired by the devil, in order to lead people away from the graces of Medjugorje.

You cannot debate these people. I am reminded of the man who went to Medjugorje in order to see the sun dance. He looked at the sun for so long that he is now completely blind. In spite of this he is permitted to be a ‘Eucharistic minister’ at my old parish church.

        Dear Madame Editor,

I just finished reading your reply to Steve. I agree with you 100% but probably wouldn’t have been so blunt.

You had me laughing out loud with the quote from Hilary White. Obviously, you’re NOT a nutjob, but you have to admit it was funny.

Re Steve: I hope that he checks out http://www.fatima.org and learns the truth about Fatima.

        Here’s my own story:

In 1988, when +Archbishop Lefebvre consecrated 4 bishops for the SSPX in “Operation Survival”, 60 Minutes with Mike Wallace announced that Archbishop Lefebvre had defied the Pope.

Being much younger and stupider then, I shouted at the TV “Who does this French fellow think he is? Way to go, Holy Father! You tell’em! Atta boy!”

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

Remember not, O Lord, the sins of my youth…

In 1997, my friend and I went to the Catholic Family News (CFN) conference in Wilmington DE USA and met a gentleman from St. Jude’s, who invited us to St. Jude’s for Mass.

To make a long story short, I learned the truth re the SSPX, +Archbishop Lefebvre, the crisis in the Church etc.

So please pray for Steve. I know someone was praying for me, otherwise I wouldn’t be posting this today.

        Yours in Christ the King,

        Margaret USA

I know that you are not criticising my “bluntness” in any hostile way, so what I am about to say does NOT apply to you, but I do notice that there is a tad less “respect” for the way a writer may frame a comment, than there is for his/her baseless theorising through to downright heretical views.

I just thought I’d take the opportunity to point that out, not least since there’s nothing in your comment with which I could possibly remotely disagree!

I gotta say sometimes this is like playing cards with the neighbors dogs. I’d have to say how naive and gullible people really are. If a Vatican official says it’s true than it must be true. If EWTN says it’s true than it must be true. BULL S!!! I cannot stand being lied to nor do I appreciate someone insulting my intelligence. We are all very aware of, or at least should be, the Communistic Masonic orders infiltrating the Church. That being said, if Fatima were to somehow disrupt the plans of the infiltrators it would make logical sense for Fatima to be pushed under the carpet. WE ARE NOT IN AN ERA OF PEACE!!! THE CONSECRATION WAS NEVER DONE!!! THE ENTIRE WORLD IS GOING TO GO THROUGH GREAT SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL CHASTISEMENTS!!! All of this because our beloved Popes disobeyed a direct mandate from Heaven USURPING GODS AUTHORITY!!! It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks to believe to be true. No Pope has ever fulfilled the request made by The Most Holy Mother of God. RUSSIA HAS NOT BEEN CONSECRATED!!! Sr. Lucia never said it was complete, she may have said it was accepted. This could mean anything. Anyone who believes the consecration was or is complete is delusional!!! Any Pope, Cardinal, Bishop, Priest, Religious or lay that states the consecration is complete is lying. In this case, concerning Fatima and a direct demand from Heaven, Usurping God for political nonsensical reasons is a violation of the highest law, the salvation of souls. For every so called credible expert that states the consecration is complete there is one just as credible who states otherwise. THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!!! I need to stop now before I say something I shouldn’t. All of these lies and deceit burn me up!!!!

How come you stand out a mile on other blogs due to your striking avatar, while I almost miss some of your comments here, due to your LACK of a striking avatar? Hint 😀 Hint 😉

Probably because I use Disqus to post my comments on the Remnant, 1P5 and other blogs. I don’t know how to put the icon of Our Lady of Tenderness on WordPress – I’m not that tech-savvy.

I’m glad that you like the icon of Our Lady of Tenderness though. 😇

I didn’t recognise the icon, so thank you for that information. I’ve never heard of the title “Our Lady of Tenderness”. Will check it out when time allows.

Fixing an avatar in WordPress, or more accurately, Gravatar is very easy. This is from our sidebar… If I can do it, anyone can.

If you would like to put a picture beside your username (an avatar), visit http://en.gravatar.com/ and follow the simple instructions. Make sure you have saved your chosen picture on your computer before you begin the process so that when you are instructed to browse to select it, you can find it easily. It is a very simple process.

If all else fails, however, help is at hand. I’ve attached avatars for others here (our beloved Theresa Rose for one – she doesn’t mind me sharing her secret!) so if all else fails, I’ll organise it for you, but I would need you to email your login details and copy of the picture. You can change your password later if you wish. Let me know if you wish me to post my email address. Over to thee!

Here’s another vague puzzle, once again, I’m afraid, from “ChurchMilitant.com” (though the source was a Dutch blog). This article begins by stating that the Dutch bishops “consecrated” their dioceses to the Immaculate Heart, yet the headline says they consecrated the Netherlands to the Immaculate Heart. And then the article ends by stating that the bishops “entrusted” each diocese to Mary. So which was it, a consecration or an entrusting? And which was it, the country or the dioceses?

I just posted the same comment below the article, but given the nature of this website and organization, I’m sure it won’t last long…..

I wouldn’t trust CM. The Remnant has debunked a lot of the articles by CM over the years. Caveat lector!

    • New World Order in Christ

I heard that the bald chappy who is the face of CM is in fact a homosexual. Does anyone know if this is this an unsubstantiated rumour, or is this true? If it is true it figures that you shouldn’t trust anyone who wears a toupee. God has blessed me with a full head of hair.

Editor: I guess you think this is funny/humorous. It’s not. Read my reply below.

God has blessed me with a full head of hair.

Pity, though, that you were not blessed with the ability to use Google – that way you could research the required information about the young man who fronts the Church Militant videos without risking lowering the tone of our blog.

I don’t understand your comment. I didn’t answer the question posted by New Word Order… because it is so easy to find the answer elsewhere, without going off topic here. Check our in-house rules. We stick to the topic. Google Michael Voris Church Militant Homosexual, and voila! The answer awaits!

Now, let’s return to the topic of this thread – which is Fatima…

I think Origen was answering my posted link from ChurchMilitant…better known as Church SSPX-hating….

I haven’t returned to see if my questions were answered. I prefer not to give that site the additional hit statistic.

That’s OK. It sometimes happens if a blogger doesn’t name the person to whom he is replying, and a numpty like moi presumes that it refers to the previous post.

That’s why it’s helpful if bloggers begin their comment by identifying the blogger to whom their answer refers. With the Disquis system, that happens automatically above the comment – e.g. Origen to RCA Victor but in our humble WordPress system, we have to write the name of the blogger to whom we are replying, ourselves. But no harm done – no need to apologise. Just say “sorry” 😀

I have always firmly believed in chastisement.

    May 21, 2017 at 10:02 pm
    • editor

Some people think the “chastisement” warned of at Fatima means a nuclear war, others consider it to be a spiritual chastisement (such as we are suffering at the moment with scandalous clergy, bad popes etc.) Some think it will turn out to be a combination of the above.

      What do you think?

      May 22, 2017 at 12:15 pm
      • New World Order in Christ

Definitely a combination. But there will only be a material chastisement in the later stages. The spiritual chastisement was inevitable, but the material chastisement can be averted through the consecration of Russia.

I tend to agree with you. If not averted, then ended soon enough – I’m thinking of the first part of the Third Secret, the Bishop “dressed in white” being attacked by soldiers…

Did/does anybody else have trouble accessing the May Newsletter?

On a recent visit to Russia, now concluded, I couldn’t but here, in this great Isle, I can. Was/is it just a technical fault, or a pointer to something else?

WOW! That’s interesting. I wonder if they are cracking down on those of us agitating for the Consecration? I remember Benedict Carter saying ours was one of the few sites he could access when visiting China, but then, we’ve never had a blog discussion on China. Plenty, though, on the Consecration of Russia and we certainly do get visited by people in Russia, according to our, er… records!

Thank you for that information – very interesting indeed.

A UK reader of The Remnant recently reported in ‘Letters to the editor’ (Vol.50-No.7 30/04/2017) that he was blocked from accessing the the Remnant Online in Costa Coffee (O2 is the WIFI provider in Costa) saying it was blocked as it is deemed offensive.

Michael Matt (ed) replied that is why they will never give up the print edition as they expect more of this to follow in years to come.

Michael Matt can afford to keep his print edition going, as there’s a subscription payment. So Michael Matt can be pretty sure his publication is wanted, being read, and even acted upon. We rely on donations, and there is some truth in the old adage that if you get something for free, you value it a tad less. I have been appalled at the people – including one priest “friend” – who admitted to not reading it. So, after much thought and very clear explanation of our rationale in the newsletter some months ago, we decided to move to being mainly an online publication, with some readers continuing to receive the hard copy. The working principle is along the lines of shaking off the dust…

We spent yesterday slashing the print copy mailing list (transferring those with email addresses to our e-mail list) so we have moved from a mailing list of hard copy readers from several hundreds, to less than 100. Quite a bit less. In 2008, we moved from a mailing list of over a thousand to the several hundreds. At this rate, it’ll be just thee and me, and I’m not even sure about thee 😀

Very funny! I wasn’t digging at your (prolonged!) absence from the blog, honest! Great that you are coming over at Christmas – see you in the tearoom. Don’t go to any great expense for my present – I’ve had windows installed on my computer, so some curtains would be good, but don’t feel obliged 😀
