13/7: Fatima Centenary of Vision of Hell
The Lady told Lucia: …Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially whenever you make some sacrifice: ‘O Jesus, it is for love of You, and for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.’“
As Our Lady spoke these last words (Lucia said) she opened her hands once more, as she had done during the two previous months. The rays of light appeared to penetrate the earth, and we saw, as it were, a vast sea of fire. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in that conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames which issued from within themselves, together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear (it must have been this sight which caused me to cry out, as people say they heard me). The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals. That vision only lasted for a moment, thanks to our good Heavenly Mother, Who at the first apparition had promised to take us to Heaven. Without that, I think that we would have died of terror and fear.”
The Explanation of the Vision
Our Lady said to us, so kindly and so sadly: “You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end, but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the reign of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God, that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father.
To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.
In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world. In Portugal, the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved etc.”
Our Lady then taught the children a prayer to add to the end of each mystery of the Rosary: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fire of Hell, Take all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need.

Comment:
Believe it or not, there are actually Catholics who disapprove of Our Lady showing the children the vision of Hell. Why on EARTH would anyone think or say such a thing?
There is no shortage of warnings about Hell in Sacred Scripture, and saints down the centuries have had visions of the torments awaiting souls in Hell: “I saw the torments of hell and those of purgatory; no words can describe them. Had poor mortals the faintest idea of them, they would suffer a thousand deaths rather than undergo the least of their torments during a single day.” St. Catherine of Siena.
So, rather than be shocked at the children of Fatima being shown the vision of Hell, the truly Catholic response is one of gratitude; it is, surely, a great grace to have had the dogma of Hell affirmed by Our Lady herself at the beginning of the 20th century, when it was to come under enormous attack. Or perhaps you would have preferred a vision of Heaven? Share your thoughts…

I agree that it’s a grace to have Our Lady affirm the dogma of Hell but I do wonder about showing Hell to three small children. Until I read it here, I didn’t think of the alternative – why not show them a vision of Heaven and make people more determined to get there, than to stay out of Hell?
I think we need to acknowledge that Our Lady knows best. Remember she had already told the children they would go to Heaven and this was a great consolation to them.
We also need to think that this wasn’t just a private vision. The children were to communicate this part of the Secret. Children talking about Heaven, a place of great peace and joy, might not sound as authentic as very young children describing in great detail the fire of Hell. So I think we need to trust that what Our Lady showed the children is exactly the right.
We also need to give children more credit. They are more capable of understanding the Faith than we sometimes think. The attitude that we need to shield children from the Truths of the Faith and make everything all sweetness and light is a huge mistake. It has been what has decimated Religious Education programmes.
Thank you for your answer. I didn’t think of it like that – you have reminded me that Our Lady had already told the children they were going to Heaven before she showed them Hell, so I get it better now. I felt a bit guilty seeming to question Our Lady’s wisdom in showing the kids Hell so you have made me see it all more clearly now. Thanks, Bruv!
Allan,
I’m very glad that Petrus responded to you before I did, because I am always open mouthed at the sheer nerve of anyone who would think that they know better than Our Lady!
This is EXACTLY what the Vatican – popes and cardinals – are doing with regard to the Consecration of Russia and the Third Secret, supposed to be revealed in 1960 by request of Our Lady herself.
I’m just lost for words that anyone would dream of saying “Our Lady got it wrong”
I note your humble response to Petrus, so I’m not going to say any more – but please, do, reflect on this key fact: Our Lady came to Fatima with a message and visions from GOD! Not on a whim of her own, so to speak!
Allan
The BBC showed a vision of hell at the weekend and nobody complained.
I think they called it Gay Pride.
Those “pride” marches are really dreadful, full of half-naked people with painted bodies, looking completely ridiculous. How can these people behave like this? They are certainly in need of reading the Fatima vision of Hell. It just might make some of them think.
Petrus, you have a point there about not shielding children from the truth of Hell etc. The other evening my husband was trawling through the blog and brought up the shocking story, plus photos, of the homosexuality in the Vatican. He left it up when he finished and I remonstrated with him that one of the older children (still not in bed) could have seen it. He said, “why not? It’s about time we bursted the bubble about these so called shepherds of the Church”.
I’ve elected to post an update, on this thread, on the gender neutral uniform policy being implemented in a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Southwark, – St Anthony’s – because this is one stark example of the diabolical disorientation prophesied at Fatima: here we have an archbishop, priest (Foundation Governor), Head Teacher [and complicit teachers] effectively conspiring to lead children to Hell. This new uniform policy is due to be implemented in September (when the English schools reopen after the summer holidays.)
Having, today, heard about one person who rang the school to ask if this policy is still being pursued, and who was treated dismissively, even to the point of having the phone slammed down on her, I decided to ring myself, not least since I've not had any reply to either of my emails – to the Head at the school and to the Archbishop, Peter Smith. Since this evil policy of promoting transgender ideology among children, has been condemned even by the liberal Pope Francis, I called the school and asked to speak to someone about the policy, in order to afford the school the opportunity to defend itself against the charge I planned to make publicly, that this gender neutral policy is blatant child abuse. I was told to email and when I said that I HAD emailed but had received no reply, I was asked to give my email address. I decided to resend my email to make sure it’s not overlooked – again. Below is my most recent email (sent today) and then further down my original email plus email to the Archbishop.
Head Teacher, St Anthony’s School Archbishop Smith
Subject: Gender Neutral Uniform:
I have had no replies to either of my emails on this subject. Yet, when I rang the school a couple of minutes ago, I was told to email! I explained that I HAVE emailed, but received no reply and that I want to give those responsible for this scandalous decision the opportunity to comment on our belief that this immoral decision is blatant child abuse, a claim which will be published on our blog and in the next edition of our newsletter.
I will be asking if the school will be providing “safe spaces” for those boys who choose to wear a skirt, in order to protect them from the bullying which they will certainly suffer. Even the liberal Pope Francis has condemned this “transgender ideology” – click here to read just one of the many reports on the subject. Note: that the LGBT brigade is “dismayed” at his remarks, pales in comparison with the wrath of God which you are risking by your pandering to this immoral ideology.
It’s a very true saying: Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.

Subject: GENDER NEUTRAL UNIFORMS – UNBELIEVABLE.
Dear Archbishop Smith, I have just emailed the message below to the Head Teacher of St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in your diocese, which I send to you with a request that no Catholic should ever have to make to a bishop, to please act to stop the children in that school from being corrupted by the Head Teacher and staff. My email is self explanatory – I ask you to dutifully act to end this scandal, which must entail removing those responsible for post.
PREVIOUSLY AGAIN…
For the attention of the Head Teacher, St. Anthony’s Primary School
I write in disbelief, having discovered your plan to introduce a “gender neutral” school uniform in September.
As a former Head of Religious Education in a number of “Catholic” schools, I really thought I’d seen it all, as the so-called Catholic educators destroyed the Faith in the children entrusted to their care through impoverished programmes and mickey mouse resources.
The undue influence exercised by the “liberals” make a genuine Catholic education impossible these days – as your ridiculous uniform policy (and your website content) confirms. All involved in this scandal should be sacked on the spot, including you. Any Head Teacher of a Catholic school who has so little grasp of the fundamentals of Catholicism as to succumb to the evil LGBT etc agenda, should not be permitted anywhere near young Catholics, who have a right to be taught the Catholic religion as it has been handed down to us from the Apostles – not as it is interpreted by those with degrees in Theology for the Brain Dead.
We are discussing this shocking news on our blog where I will report the fact that I have written to ask you to withdraw this policy immediately. Scripture tells us that “Those who instruct many in virtue, will shine as bright stars for all eternity” (Daniel 12:3) But, if you recall, a quite different fate awaits those who scandalize children – millstones around their necks, and drowning in the depths of the sea, springs to mind (Matthew 18:6)

ACTION PLAN!
If you, as a blogger, reader, visitor to this site, are as outraged as any Catholic should be, you will want to contact the school – and the archdiocese as well – to put as much pressure as possible on them to withdraw this disgraceful policy before school begins in September.

GENDER NEUITRAL UNIFORM POLICY
For the attention of Fr Gerry Mulvihill, Foundation Governor/Parish Priest
Dear Father Mulvihill,
I write to afford you the opportunity of answering some questions and responding to the accusations which I shall be making in my report on the scandal of the introduction of a so-called gender neutral uniform in St Anthony’s primary school when term begins in September. My report will be published in the next edition of our newsletter, in October. You can read our current, and previous editions [on our blog – link included, to this thread.]
For the purpose of enabling those who cannot see the scandal in simple natural/God’s law terms, I will be quoting Pope Francis’ condemnation of the transgender ideology, especially in respect to the education of children. [link included here to one of many reports on the subject. I think the Pope is correct on this – do you?
I will also be publicly accusing those responsible with child abuse – Head-teacher, (complicit teachers), Foundation Governors, and all those clergy and hierarchy involved with the school. Do you agree? If not, please offer an alternative explanation and I guarantee to include it in my report.
Clearly, if you fail to respond to this email, I will take it that you approve of this child abuse. I would urge you, therefore, to think carefully – in this centenary of the vision of Hell given to the Fatima seers by Our Lady – about where your true loyalties must lie in this matter. The souls of the children entrusted to your care are much more important than your popularity with the school staff or your archbishop. It is self-evident that the person(s) behind this move to “genderless” children must be LGBT+ inclined – no normal person would even think of such an aberration – so I exhort you to do your priestly duty in the spirit of Matthew 18:6: “But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
Kind regards

“I will be asking if the school will be providing “safe spaces” for those boys who choose to wear a skirt, in order to protect them from the bullying which they will certainly suffer.
That is exactly right. this is scandalous stuff. I do think it’s a waste of time contacting the school and diocese, though, because they’re lost souls, they really are, to have even thought of introducing a “gender neutral” uniform.
This is a really ridiculous state of affairs and everyone involved with this policy at that school – especially the priest governor – should be hanging their heads in shame.
I think this thread is definitely the right place to post the update on the gender neutral uniform scandal, because all those responsible for leading these children astray, and perhaps causing the loss of their souls for all eternity, are risking Hell themselves without doubt.
If any boy was to choose to wear a skirt to school, he would be bound to be bullied, so even on that basic level, whoever dreamt up this uniform policy is not right in the head.
This whole transgender nonsense is really out of control. They’re stopping saying “Ladies & Gentlemen” in announcements on the London tube, and saying “Hello everyone” instead.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-40591750
The whole thing is totally crazy. What’s the bet the next thing will be when the Tube announcements have to change again because trans people don’t like “one” – some of them say “they” and “their” when talking about themselves or another trans person. I found this interview with Piers Morgan
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaO-krc5ZRM?ecver=1&w=1131&h=636%5D
I think it is good to reflect on the vision of Hell today, when we are getting all this stuff thrown at us and even Catholic schools, priests, bishops, teachers thinking it’s normal! Personally, I think there are mental health issues which need looking at.
I’ve just watched that video and it’s crazy, the whole thing.
What’s the Head of St Anthony’s in Southwark going to do at assemblies or when visiting classes if (s)he has to single out a pupil for any reason? “Would Tommy come to the front because I would like they to tell class how they managed to get 11 out of 10 for their homework” LOL!
It’s a wonder the parents are not hitting the headlines with their protests against this shocker.
Dear Editor,
I have just e-mailed Fr Mulvihill, having already emailed the rest, without any reply. Let us remember what Jesus said “All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed” sums it up well. I found the following report on the evil of child abuse from Doctors
https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/pediatrician-transgender-ideology-has-created-widespread-child-abuse
The School breaks up next Friday, we must reverse this decision.
St Catherine of Siena sums it up well “We’ve had enough of exhortations to be silent! Cry out with a hundred thousand tongues. I see that the world is rotten because of silence.”
God bless, all you faithful Crusaders,
Jacinta
If they are not answering messages from the people in the area, why don’t you all go there with placards to cause a fuss outside the school and outside the bishop’s house? That might get their attention, but they are not going to be bothered by a few emails or phone calls. They are full of pride, so only the risk of a public humiliation will make them jump to attention.
Here’s some more shocking news that merits a place on this thread. As you read this report about possible canonisations of non-Catholics courtesy of Papa Francis, recall that St John Chrysostom famously said that “The walls of Hell are paved with the skulls of Bishops”.
Since the current (anxious to be known as the Bishop of Rome) pontiff now seems intent on leaving the door open to canonising non-Catholics, I suggest that we all pray very hard to the new saints, Jacinta and Francisco, so deeply touched by the vision of Hell at Fatima that they prayed and made many sacrifices to save souls; we should pray very hard to them for this dreadful pope.

I read somewhere that this photo of the three seers was actually taken right after the miracle of the sun, yet, instead of smiling, joyful that they had been vindicated, they were very serious, and the reason given is that they could not forget the terrible vision of Hell. I think I read that in Mark Fellows’ book Sr Lucia: Apostle of the Immaculate Heart but I can’t be sure. I’m 99% certain that is the source, but I could be wrong (has to happen some day!) Whatever, or wherever, I did read that. Drives home the horror of Hell…
Dear Editor,
It looks like the Parish Church in the background. Further proof might be the candles in Francisco and Jacinta’s hands. Note that Jacinta’s candle is melting in her hand, a possible clue that it is July.
The point being that it would take some time for the kids to travel from the Cova to the church. Whether the photo was taken in July or October, it couldn’t have been taken right after either apparition. Be advised that I am wrong more often than not.
Steven,
I didn’t mean it was taken immediately after the apparition or miracle of the sun. I don’t know, of course, but I am only repeating what I read. I meant that it was taken at some point in time after they had seen Hell. That’s all I meant. And only because I read it somewhere! So, lay off 😀 Admit it – they certainly don’t look like they’ve been on a fun day out, now, do they?
For the record, I hadn’t noticed the candles. To think of the hours I’ve spent reading detective stories too. And I can’t make out what is in the background. It might be a church, could be a library. I’ve no idea 😀
I’m sure I can Professor Plum and Colonel Mustard too!
Petrus, do you mean “I can SEE” etc? Referring to Steven’s post on the photo? If so, I will insert the missing word and delete our two posts.
Fr Gerry Mulvihill has still not responded to my email, so I am publishing it here, for the record. I will add it to the list of unanswered emails on this subject above, for ease of reference to those following this scandal:

Still no reply from anyone connected with St Anthony’s primary school but there was a very good article published in – of all places – the Universe on the scandal. Click here to read it.
Now, of course, following the news at the weekend that the law in England is to be relaxed (or, more accurately, ditched) regarding men who wish to “identify” as women and vice versa, we have Nicola Sturgeon jumping on the bandwagon (if it still identifies as a “bandwagon”) to say that Scots law will follow suit, or should that be dress…. Click here to read the Scotsman article, and the comments from bloggers at the foot of the page. Terrible to think that there are hard-nosed non-Catholic Scotsmen writing there, who are more “Catholic” on this issue that the Headteacher and priest-governor of St Anthony’s Primary School in Southwark.
As far as I am concerned the BUCK LIES WITH CARDINAL NICHOLS whether this gender ideology goes ahead at St Anthony’s school. Don’t hold your breathe as he does not speak out about abortion, same sex marriages or anything remotely catholic. If the issue was over benefits or immigration he would be out there like a shot. He should be leading Catholics and others faiths in fighting OFSTED. Jewish schools are NOT compromising
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4694610/School-faces-closure-refusing-transgender-issues.html
Let’s hope that all children and parents sue him and all involved in this scandal for enforcing this dangerous evil globalist agenda upon them.

What is the Catholic Education Service doing, Chairman Rev Malcolm McMahon, they are staying silent!
Parents have to do their bit to protect their children “And fear ye not them that kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell”. Matthew 10
“If the faith is in imminent peril, prelates ought to be accused by their subjects, even in public.”
St. Thomas Aquinas
“The greatest obstacle in the apostolate of the Church is the timidity or rather the cowardice of the faithful.”
Pope St. Pius X
Chloe
Chloe,
The school is in the archdiocese of Southwark, so it is Archbishop Peter Smith who the buck stops with, not Cardinal Nichols.
They are all so PC anyway, that none of them will speak out on anything like this. They avoid controversy like there’s no tomorrow. It’s called “cowardice”.
Dear Margaret Mary,
Who is the person in charge of Archbishop Peter Smith, none other than Cardinal Nichols.
You are right they do not answer any e-mails etc.. This is because Cardinal Nichols may wear the scarlet that symbolizes the spilling of blood for his flock, but he is spineless and will sell the souls of Catholic children to the evil of Transgenderism being pushed by OFSTED in England and Wales.
Some Jewish schools in London stand up to this evil, but this is because they are have Godly Rabbis and governors. Quite simply Cardinal Nichols, Archbishop Peter Smith and Archbishop Malcolm McMahon of Liverpool and the rest of Catholic Education Service sold their souls to the LGBT Satanic agenda a long time ago and will not defend catholic children from the prince of this world. Instead they willingly hand over these little ones to the evil of the OFSTED agenda and Cardinal Vincent Nichols can hobnob with her Majesty the Queen for his services to the State!
Chloe
Chloe,
No. Cardinal Nichols is not “in charge” of any other bishop. Each bishop is responsible – and will be held accountable by God – for his own diocese. This modern concoction – Bishops’ Conferences – have no authority; they are merely talking shops, a social get together for the bishops and a means, more seriously, of PREVENTING bishops from exercising authority in their own dioceses, as we can see with the “statements” from Bishops’ Conferences…
As for Cardinal Nichols selling the souls of Catholic children to the evil of transgenderism – he wouldn’t do that if he believed there to be something wrong with transgenderism. It just amazes me, ceaselessly, how many Catholics just do not get it – they continue to think of their bishops as holding to the divine and Catholic faith when all of the objective evidence points in the opposite direction.
Dear Margaret Mary & Editor,
I stand corrected.
God bless,
Chloe

Chloe,
Thank you for posting that link which I will visit later. In the meantime, it’s no wonder Archbishop Smith hasn’t answered our emails about St Anthony’s gender neutral uniform policy – he’s steeped in this evil himself. Pray for him.
Dear Editor
Thank you for starting a new blog on this important subject on the near top right of this page. The title “Catholics MUST Fight Transgenderism” could not more apt for these evil times.
God bless you for the work you are doing,
Chloe
Thank you, Chloe.
However, I’m but one cog in this wheel. Without the regular bloggers I’d be pressing the delete button.
We need more and more Catholics to engage in blogging, whether to educate themselves or to share their knowledge of the Faith and Morals with the wider world, or, better still (and in most cases) both…
So, spread the word!
The Fatima Center has posted the following:
(1) a statement answering critics here
(2) an article by Chris Ferrara on the same topic here
I’ll post these links on the General Discussion (15) thread as well, where there was a brief discussion on this matter recently.
Well I am gobsmacked! No prissey comments (Petrus) about where I’ve been or what planet I’ve been on! I am a very busy mother with a young family and don’t get to keep up with the blog. But, oh my, can this really be true about transgenderism being pushed in our Catholic schools?! There should be a riot and there would be if my children were being so tainted! Those bishops will roast in Hell and that’s for sure!
My husband and I (sounds like the Queen!) were just discussing the demise of the infamous Cardinal Murphy O’Connor and wondering about his final destination. I seem to remember he once said that, we we obliged to believe in Hell, but not in anyone being there. Or words to that effect. Well, he knows now! You know I think they, the bishops, mustn’t believe in the 4 Last Things or they wouldn’t behave like they do. Shepherds my ####!
Once again, sorry to say, Rorate Caeli disappoints. Here is an article on Fatima – check out this priest’s take on the Consecration of Russia: am I wrong to interpret his piece as skirting or (more accurately) ignoring the whole issue of the Consecration of Russia? I admit to only skimming the article, so if I’ve misinterpreted it, please correct me. Nothing to worry about…
https://ritarussell.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/1765_angry_wife_with_a_rolling_pin.jpg
Editor,
I just had an apparition of you with a large rolling pin…..
Anyway, it does seem that the thrust of the article is to “individualize” Fatima down to a matter of personal devotion and penance and reparation….at the expense of the Pope’s unfulfilled responsibility.
However, I did notice this:
“The outbreak of a new World War and the spread of ideological errors, such as materialism and atheism, would have been halted by two Marian devotions: consecration of Russia, of all Nations and of every single person to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and the First Five Saturdays of the month in reparation for sins and outrages committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
But again, watered down with “all nations,” when Our Lady did not ask, as far as I am aware, for the consecration of “all nations.” And is the Consecration itself a “Marian devotion,” or simply obedience to Our Lady’s request?
I don’t know anything about the speakers at this conference, other than Cardinal Burke, who recently stated that the Consecration had not been done as requested, but the omission in the advert of the Pope’s responsibility is rather glaring.
Conclusion: Rorate Caeli is trying to have it both ways, promoting both Tradition and the party line, by blurring the line between them.
RCA Victor,
You have confirmed my own impression, both of the article itself and of Rorate Caeli’s blurring of distinctions between Tradition and the Vatican party line in order to have that piece of cake and yet eat it…
Hoping I’m wrong, is the same now true of The Remnant? I ask following a conversation with a reader yesterday, who suggested that The Remnant is moving more “to the left” – and since I had just noticed a headline referring to “Pope Emeritus Benedict” on the front page of one edition (one of my nephews is a big Remnant fan and he had a few copies lying on his coffee table) I can’t help wondering if there is a certain battle fatigue taking hold.
That would be disappointing. One headline doth not a newspaper make, so let’s hope that’s the explanation: one moment of Emeritus madness! Nothing more! I don’t read The Remnant in print copy but keep an eye on it online, so I can’t say I’ve noticed any lamentable change in direction – I hope that (yet again) I’m right! 😀
Editor,
I stopped reading The Remnant several months ago, unless an occasional article is linked from another site, because of (a) Hilary White, (b) too much of this “Can’t we all just get along” stuff, (c) a certain lack of depth. The last time I watched one of their videos, which was a highly touted interview of one of the speakers at a Roman Forum event in Italy, it turned out to be nothing but fluff. Don’t know about the move to the left, but generally very disappointing.
Also, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen any of their featured writers acknowledge that Pope Francis is a chastisement.
