We desperately need a Catholic “Ben Shapiro” to speak out in the UK media, as Ben does so brilliantly in the USA. Can you think of someone we could “school” for the job – perhaps a young person in your circle? Or is this best left to the “naturals” who volunteer for the job?

I wish this was a spoof, but I do know someone who thinks that all men are rapists, and she is unwilling, or perhaps unable, to rationally discuss why she holds such a ridiculous – not to say monstrous – notion.
One of the problems with these mad feminists is that they demonstrate the most stereotypical types of behaviour of “the fairer sex” – a term which they would hate, and which I use provocatively – i.e. emotionalism based purely on their own “feelings” without any factual evidence, aligned with a stubborn refusal to think beyond their own bigotry. I blame men for causing this…

I don’t know who in the Catholic Church in the UK would be suitable as Ben Shapiro’s counterpart (how ironic that these perversions have been, if not directly hatched in the dark and putrid bowels of Judeo-Freemasonry, at least promoted by them to destroy the family and the Church), but you’d better hurry and find them before it becomes a hate crime to speak out against the transgenderism depravity. Not that such an unjust law would actually silence someone devoted to the truth, but it’s hard to speak out while you’re in jail….
I recently came across this passage in Guidance in Spiritual Direction, by Charles Hugo Doyle, on discerning between diabolical tricks and diabolical illusions. Here is how he defines diabolical illusions:
Diabolical illusions…are artifices trumped up draw a man into evil under the appearance of something good or to keep a man from doing something good by thinking it is evil. This illusion is more dangerous than the diabolical ruse or trick because if someone…sins under the appearance of good, not only does he not humble himself after his fault but he is actually proud of himself, and he may persevere in a fault which to him appears to be a virtuous act.
So it seems clear that the “diabolical disorientation” of Fatima fame applies to the culture wars as much as it applies to the Church. What is the cure for this? Father Doyle says that “it is to live constantly in a certain fear and defiance of self.” He then quotes St. Thomas Aquinas, who says “the sole remedy against such illusions is to recommend ourselves continually to God, begging of Him the light of discernment…”
I’m not sure what the human cure is for those afflicted souls who are not Catholic, or not religious at all, or – typically – militantly opposed to religion – but the only supernatural cure I know of would be the consecration of Russia.
Those videos are really priceless. I’d never heard of Ben Shapiro. What a hoot! I haven’t laughed as much in ages. The look on the face of the transgender supporting young woman when Ben asked her age, which was 22, and then asked why she couldn’t identify as 60, was really a comic few moments.
I can’t think of anyone I know who could take on the job of a Ben Shapiro here in the UK, but I’ll keep an eye out, LOL!
Ben Shapiro is brilliant! How come we’ve not had him on TV in the UK? If ever there was a silly question, I now see it’s that one, reading it over, LOL!
He’s given me several great one-liner answers to use in discussions on transgenderism and abortion. It is surprising that he doesn’t see the connection between contraceptives and abortion, though. That’s a weakness, such a pity.
Ben Shapiro is very good. It’s refreshing to hear such sanity. He really does cut through the nonsense of disordered thinking. (This is uncanny for me as a few days ago someone else asked me if I’d heard of him and this was someone with no political or religious leanings, that I know of, so I was pleasantly surprised).
I’ve come to understand the wisdom of why the Bible says ‘He created them male and female’. Why say something that is obvious? The day would come when people would dispute even the evidence of their own bodies.
I’ve never been able to articulate it very well but it’s often puzzled me why no atheists can be found who oppose abortion. If atheism was this morally good system, that they claim, I would expect at least one or two to be convinced of the moral wrong of abortion. Yet, without exception, atheists seem to be pro-abortion – whilst telling us that abortion is not a religious/moral issue.

Hear hear. On the sexual moral issues, he is top of the class.
However, I’ve heard a couple of snippets about other issues, that I do not agree with him on, such as where he claims that poor people are poor because they’re not good with money. I didn’t listen to the whole thing so maybe he was poking fun but I have a feeling that he is very right wing in everything and not just sexual morality, which is a pity.

Yes, he is. This is perhaps not the forum for a political discussion. I consider myself centre-right but, I don’t know, you sometimes need someone like Shapiro just to put it out there. Just to say a few things that need to be said. Personal responsibility and hard work are important and I don’t think learned helplessness is healthy.
Shapiro may not be, then, to everyone’s taste politically/economically but I should say that he regards these as religious in nature too – we shouldn’t put the State as our God, looking to it to solve all our problems. Of course, most political/economic systems claim God for themselves.

You are right about this forum – political discussions are frowned upon but I have to answer your comment because I have plenty of wealthy relatives who look down their noses at poor people, including my own branch of the family, so I have a different take on poverty. I’m not talking about people who are dishonestly claiming State benefits (a minority anyway) but about people who are “not good with money” as Shapiro said, so they don’t become rich. Since Our Lord’s own family were poor, that means St Joseph and Our Lady were not the best at handling the family finances, doesn’t it? LOL!
The State should not be our God, as you say, but the Church condemns both extremes of right and left. Church teaching also makes clear that the State should be careful to look after its most vulnerable people. I hate the “nobody should get something for nothing” way of thinking. I associate it with spiteful, greedy people.
It is good that Shapiro is excellent on the moral issues though – except for contraception, which is a real shame, he could help educate people on that – so I’ve enjoyed the videos on this blog and a couple of others I’ve watched, as well. He’s great on the transgender issues.

I agree, it is very disappointing that Ben Shapiro has expressed such a silly view about poor people. He’s also wrong on birth control, as warned in the introduction, so let’s keep the focus on the fact that he is excellent in challenging abortion and transgenderism, and I’m sure he is good on other LGBT issues (not had time to check that out, but it is on my list of things to do, videos to watch!) And thus we can leave the rest to one side.
I agree that the videos are great and Ben Shapiro does put all the silent Catholics to shame, especially those with a platform in the media who don’t use it to show how ludicrous things like transgender is.
I have a serious question though. While I was listening to Ben, the thought came to me that all this LGBT stuff blew up and spread like wildfire, all of a sudden. The “trans” people have really moved up about ten years recently, so my question is, where did all this come from, especially the trans stuff. How can it be that for two centuries we had nobody questioning that everyone is either male or female and now there’s nearly 100 different “gender identities”, out of the blue, all of a sudden.
I honestly didn’t hear anything about this trans movement until a few months ago. Maybe that’s my fault, but has anyone else wondered how this issue has come to be on our TVs day in and day out for the past few weeks and months? Have I missed something? I admit I don’t watch all that much TV, but now when I switch on even just the news, it’s there in some shape or form. I’d love to hear from others, if it’s me, or has there been a sudden sea-change and who or what is behind it.

I’ve been thinking the very same thing. Acceptance of the “gay” perversion was slowly and carefully prepared through the media for at least 20 years (at first it was as a joke, e.g. the old TV show “Three’s Company” back in the 70s). But like you I don’t know how this transgender insanity was prepared. It certainly appeared on a much more accelerated timeline, with the effect of “bursting on the scene.” My only conclusion is that the Synagogue of Satan has jugged that the progress of their disorientation has come so far that any resistance to this insanity could be easily silenced.
They are wrong, and they have Satan’s pride.

I visited your link to Ann Barnhardt’s site (although I warn against reading her because she is either a sede or a bene-vacantist, can’t remember which) anyway, horrendous stuff, but then I read this:

So, “high and unimpeachable” (presumably orthodox/traditional leaning priests) in the Vatican are feeding information to a woman who is misleading souls with her very grave errors against the Faith?
