Catholics MUST Be ProLife:Action!(2)

Catholics MUST Be ProLife:Action!(2)

This thread is dedicated to sharing news about pro-life issues.

Where possible, we suggest that bloggers make and respond to calls to action in defence of the unborn child – whether that entails emailing MPs or supporting various vigils etc.
Try not to simply post a link to news – publish an extract and/or make a suggestion about possible action, that will encourage readers to click your link.

Among all the crimes which can be committed against life, procured abortion has characteristics making it particularly serious and deplorable. The Second Vatican Council defines abortion, together with infanticide, as an “unspeakable crime”.54
But today, in many people’s consciences, the perception of its gravity has become progressively obscured. The acceptance of abortion in the popular mind, in behaviour and even in law itself, is a telling sign of an extremely dangerous crisis of the moral sense, which is becoming more and more incapable of distinguishing between good and evil, even when the fundamental right to life is at stake. Given such a grave situation, we need now more than ever to have the courage to look the truth in the eye and to call things by their proper name, without yielding to convenient compromises or to the temptation of self-deception. In this regard the reproach of the Prophet is extremely straightforward: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness” (Is 5:20). Especially in the case of abortion there is a widespread use of ambiguous terminology, such as “interruption of pregnancy”, which tends to hide abortion’s true nature and to attenuate its seriousness in public opinion. Perhaps this linguistic phenomenon is itself a symptom of an uneasiness of conscience. But no word has the power to change the reality of things: procured abortion is the deliberate and direct killing, by whatever means it is carried out, of a human being in the initial phase of his or her existence, extending from conception to birth.

The moral gravity of procured abortion is apparent in all its truth
if we recognize that we are dealing with murder…

Thank you for adding me to this group. Let’s do our best to bring Unplanned to Europe. I had the privilege of seeing it already at a private event and it is astonishingly moving.

Hello and welcome to the Unplanned UK Group! We want to bring Unplanned to UK Cinemas this Autumn 💪

    How can you help?

    1. Contact your local independent cinema and your chains (cineworld, odeon, showcase, vue, the light, etc.) let them know you are wanting to see unplanned.
    2. Fill out the form at https://www.unplannedfilm.com/uk and let the Unplanned team know where you are and which cinema is closest to you.

    3. Help us get the word out: ask friends and family to also call/email local cinemas about Unplanned.

    4. Invite friends/family to join this group for updates and the most helpful actions to get Unplanned here!

    4. If you find a cinema interested in screening unplanned, gather their contact info (name/email/phone) and email us so we can reach out: uk@unplannedfilm.com

While on the road the other day I saw a bumper sticker that was just repulsive:

“Keep your rosaries off my ovaries.”

Truly there are some sick people in the world – revolutionaries, the lot of them.

      RCA Victor,

Shockingly, that was a very common sticker/poster in Ireland during their referendum. Truly sick.

This is very disturbing. The doctor obviously enjoyed killing the babies and kept their remains as trophies.

I wonder if she would have kept her job if she had had an abortion? It seems that for this ‘Catholic’ school the life of a child and wellbeing of a mother was less of a concern than the potential scandal she would have caused. I find this very hypocritical. This school needs to get its priorities right. There is a huge social pressure on women to have abortions, and Catholics schools should not compound this pressure.

      WendyWalker95,

That is really shocking about Stella Creasy being such a hypocrite. I knew she was an abortion fanatic, wanting abortion up to birth (decriminalisation bill) but I had no idea she had made those statements about the humanity of her own unborn children. What a total hypocrite! I wish I lived near enough to go to the public education display in Walthamstow. I fully support the Stop Stella Campaign.

Just a word of warning though – she is one of those female MPs in Parliament (bunch of snowflakes) always crying “abuse” so she will portray the campaign as abuse.

The High Court has ruled that Northern Ireland’s abortion law breaches human rights.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-49900668

This is absolutely unbelievable. What a disgrace.

In my blog on transgenderism and life issues etc you will recall that our family only shopped at Aldi, Marks & Spencers the local market and Farmfoods to avoid subsidising abortifacient and condom provision at all other supermarkets. I need to revise this statement since Farmfoods pay rent to Asda for their sites. Thus we can avoid the subsidy of abortifacients and contraception by not shopping at all the other supermarkets which murder children. The campaign of picketing of the Bishops seat etc as mentioned in my last blog continues. Please pray for its success and we should all pray hard for Caroline Farrow.
