Latest PC Madness: Ask Baby’s Consent Before Changing Nappy

Latest PC Madness: Ask Baby’s Consent Before Changing Nappy

Original video clip, of an Australian news report, has been removed, marked “unavailable” so, below, a separate interview, on the same topic, from breakfast show, Good Morning Britain (GMB)

The Australian “expert” featured at one point in the above video, is advocating this nonsense supposedly to end the problem of people touching others without consent.  The whole permissive culture is now being re-examined, but instead of looking at obvious solutions, this sort of craziness is being considered instead.  I had to double-check my calendar to make sure it wasn’t an April Fool joke but no, it’s just another fool posing as an “expert”, talking baloney.  You have to laugh, though – I couldn’t keep a straight face, so enjoy the interview. Then ask yourself how we might change  the culture of western society, where sexual harassment of one kind or another is now endemic.

I mean, what about returning to the custom of NOT cohabiting before marriage, of courteous courtships, where the girl had a deadline to meet to return to the parental home, or, perhaps even return to an even earlier period when chaperoned courtships were the norm. Beats asking babies for permission to change their nappies, surely?

Or do you have a better idea? How can we put an end to the unsavoury sexualised culture in which we currently live?

O, and isn’t it time (long overdue) that the Bishops and priests spoke out about this PC madness?  Why are they not doing so?  They seem oblivious to the whole PC craziness.  Can you imagine the scandal if even one of them subscribed to the madness spouted by this Australian “expert”?

(I wonder if that freak in the middle asked her hair for permission before dying it purple…)

I have to wonder if the whole goal of the sexual revolution was to eventually establish such Orwellian “solutions” as this. This is so ludicrous that I have to inject several Steven Wright baby jokes as comic relief:

    1. “I kept a diary when I was a baby, and recently I was re-reading it: ‘Day One: Still tired from the move. Day Two: Everyone talks to me like I’m an idiot.'”

    2. “Whenever I’m around a baby, I write down the noises he makes so that later I can ask him what he meant.”

    3. A phone call by Steven Wright: SW: “Hello, is Joe there?” Response: “Yes, he is,” SW: “Well can I speak to him please?” Response: “He can’t talk right now, he’s only two months old.” SW: “OK……I’ll wait.”

Here is some related madness in Sweden, where Miss Purple’s ideas would probably be considered perfectly acceptable: http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/12/20/new-swedish-consent-laws-require-written-permission-sexual-relations/

As for our bishops and priests speaking out against PC madness, first of all, I daresay many of them are completely sold on it as “enlightened,” speak PC quite adeptly, endorse it entirely, and are probably quite ignorant of its pernicious Marxist origins. Or, if not enlightened, at least a potent source of that all-important human respect.

      RCA Victor,

Hilarious jokes – and I love your opening line!

LOL! I haven’t laughed so much in ages. Tucker Carlson is just hilarious interviewing that Cathy woman, who is a real nutcase! I agree totally with the Australian newsman who said the idea was “certifiable insanity”.

And RCA Victor – I LOVE your comment, from start to finish. Hilarious baby jokes and that Swedish law is just the icing on the cake of this pc craziness.

I’m still laughing at the sheer madness of it, and can’t think of an answer to the question, how to change the culture, so I’ll be back on that one!

      Lily,

Me, too – still laughing at the sheer madness of it. Completely crackers.

Me, too – I haven’t laughed so much in a long while. I don’t know who is nuttier – the Australian woman or the American feminist. The pair of them are completely mad! Tucker Carlson is a hoot – he just can’t hide his amusement.

I wonder why Ben Shapiro thinks the Australian woman is “British”? She sounds very Australian to me.

Well, I’ve obviously judged this one wrong! I thought it would bring on the bloggers big-time, especially the parents among us, it is so hilarious and such obvious insanity.

In future, I’ll remember this rule…

This is just so ridiculous. I wonder if the “expert” has actually had any experience of children in nappies! I have an eight month old daughter and I couldn’t ever imagine asking her consent before changing her nappy. What happens if she cries, or makes a face, when I ask her? Does that mean I shouldn’t do it? Should I leave her in a soiled nappy? I think if her “Named Person” got wind of that (no pun intended) I might find myself in a spot of bother.

This kind of PC nonsense needs to be confronted and exposed for what it is. In fact, I’m concerned about the “expert’s” inclinations and motives if she is even spending time thinking about this! Very worrying.

Now there’s a point Petrus….the Named Person (appointed before birth, even).

Now as we head through the Summer, I wonder where that SNP Gem is now going.

I think that the State versus Parents is all part of something much bigger coming down the line.

    Editor,

Maybe we should do a little match-making and pair up Miss Purple with this fellow:

      RCA Victor,

that is just hilarious! LOL! They would definitely make a great pair! I couldn’t believe that guy passed a lie detector test!

    Editor,

I know you asked a very serious question in your introduction (“How can we put an end to the unsavoury sexualised culture in which we currently live?”), but since there’s no easy answer to that, I’ll have to puff on my pipe awhile and think about it. That may take some time, especially since I’ll first have to go out and purchase a pipe….

Perhaps the first step would be to realize that we are in the middle of a revolution that erupted in 1789 (with a preview in 1517), and that the mission of this revolution, which has seduced a significant portion of the Catholic clergy to the point of apostasy, is to destroy the Church, the civilization she built, and the family she did so much to create (a miniature city-state, as it were, of filial piety).

If one refuses to recognize that, while instead relishing the destruction of civilization, and taking “pride” in whatever perverse sexual activity one has the “right” to choose, then there is no starting place, except a horrific chastisement from God, to bring us to our senses.

PS: As St. John Eudes warned, the most horrific chastisement from God is to send us corrupt clergy: wolves. So we are already in the midst of this chastisement. In fact, I’d say the term “crisis in the Church” has advanced so far that it would now be much more accurately labeled “The Passion of the Church.”

    • Fidelis

      RCA Victor,

I think you are right that we are beyond “crisis” – the Church is certainly enduring its own “Passion”.

I’ve also been thinking about the answer to the blog question and I came up with just one thought, that this is one of those things that can only be put right by individuals, one person at a time, acting by pressing politicians to stop voting for evil laws, and also making sure our own children are taught to be independent thinkers and reject this kind of nonsense when they come across it at school or on TV etc. .

Its amazing this stuff even gets to see the light of day.

I have found that babies are not slow in airing their displeasure if they have an uncomfortably soiled nappy, so the idea that they might resent being changes is a nonsense.

I am the proud father of a 6 month old baby girl and I do not recall her asking for my consent any time she has managed to soil my person with her bodily fluids. I wonder what the baby experts would say about these scandalous double standards?

It seems its one rule for babies and another rule for parents. How such discrimination can exist in these modern days of equality, I just don’t know 😉

Somewhere between 6/7% saying it respects the rights of the child.I wonder if these people oppose abortion. It is,of course, unbridled madness.Whom the Gods would destroy!

      Tirrey,

Well said. Seems there’s only “bodily autonomy” AFTER birth, but not before, in Dolally Land…

Perhaps this policy could be applied to abortion? i.e. “Ask the consent of the fetus before aborting.”

I’ve just signed the following petition regarding the consent of children to release or withhold their medical records from parents – yet more State interference in family life and the rights of parents

I hope others will sign, as well.

I’ve been thinking about how to change the sexualised culture, and I’ve come to the conclusion that the media would have to be on board, since it is the media that pushes the sexualisation of everything, from drama, comedy, advertisements for goods and services etc. I know as individuals we can play our part, and just refuse to be part of it all, but that means standing out from the crowd and most people hate doing that.

I showed a friend the Tucker Carlson video last night and he just laughed and laughed. How ridiculous the idea of getting baby’s consent to change a nappy/diaper. He couldn’t believe it was a serious proposal!

    June 8, 2018 at 9:34 am
  • RCAVictor

Just an afterthought for this thread: how typical of the brain-dead hypocrites of the left to pontificate about asking a baby’s permission before changing his nappy, but failing to ask Alfie Evans’ permission before killing him.

    • Fidelis

      RCA Victor,

I totally get that. It’s so true – there’s a lot of that double-speak about children in this day and age in western societies which think nothing of aborting and removing feeding from sick babies and then create laws to prevent smacking and allow pupils to seek “medical help” (contraception) without their parents’ knowledge. It’s really pathetic.
