      Stark61555,

It would be up to the priest who is preaching whether or not he touched on that issue, but the fact that it is such a small number of people, statistically, suggests that it’s not genetic, and this article is about a scientific study that looks at the evidence. The first part is mostly about transgenderism and scroll down for the section on “sexual orientation”.

I think the main thing for a preacher is to point out, as the video says, that same-sex activity is against the law of God and has never been accepted as normal until our times.

If he preaches a few times, he can cover more but I think the main thing right now is that Catholics hear their priest saying this is not pleasing to God. That’ not being said, anywhere, by any priest.

Most homilies are 10 minutes. You can’t do it in 10 minutes . Its supposed to be about the Readings for the day. Btw did you read the readings for this day? What were they ? That’s supposed to be your prayer time for the day and not fuss about this.

HawJean as we would say in Scotland. Awayandbileyirhead and look at not only the Spiritual Damage this Perverted Sodomite lifestyle causes in Society but the Physicall When was the last time YOU heard a Priest speak about Homosexuality when Abraham was pleading for Sodom . You do know the Plea. When he couldn’t get 5 Just Men in the City who would condemn Homosexuality. Does the Like of San Francisco not spring to your mind.

I suppose it’s easy for us to say priests should speak out no matter what, but given that there have been street preachers arrested for just quoting the bible on homosexuality, I think we need to have some sympathy with priests who feel they might be more prudent to say nothing or not be too strident about the subject.

      Nicky,

I agree, it can’t be easy for a priest to preach on this but that isn’t a reason not to preach it. I think we need to challenge the whole concept of “hate speech” because it’s just a way of shutting up any questioning of certain groups, including the LGBT lifestyle. As pointed out in the video, these hate speech crimes don’t apply to Catholics. Was anybody arrested and charged over the Orange Parade outside St Alphonsus in Glasgow, when the priest was spat on etc? If someone had spat on a person in a Pride Parade, they’d have been charged with a hate crime, no question about it. That’s not fair.

      Nicky,

I bet Our Lord wishes he’d thought of that before he tossed those money changers out of the temple, using a corded whip to make the point. A tad too “strident”, most would think these days…

This topic absolutely must be preached about. Young people are growing up thinking it’s all about “love” and not discriminating against people who are “different”. It’s quite shocking that the subject is never preached about – neither is sex in general. I think priests may be conscious of the abuse scandals and afraid to sound moralistic, but they shouldn’t. They have to do their duty, and not think about those priests who are causing scandal and should actually be removed from the priesthood altogether.

Another excellent video! Thank you all at Catholic Truth.

You mentioned therein that the then Bishop Tartaglia said we may have to go to prison for upholding God’s Law, so what’s happened to him since then?

      Helen,

What happened to Bishop Tartaglia, it seems, is that he decided (perhaps on the advice of his spokesman, renowned for his bad back weak spine) to follow the example of the Patron Saint of Diplomats, Pontius Pilate, and go along to get alone with the media. When, on his appointment as Archbishop of Glasgow, he passed a remark (spoke the truth) about the fact (and it is a fact) that early death is a risk of homosexual activity, the media did what the media do best went on the attack: to his credit, the Archbishop didn’t cave in and apologise, if my memory serves me correctly, but he has apparently “learnt his lesson” and has remained silent on the subject ever since.

Always, of course, I have to allow for the fact that I may have missed something from him on the subject, but – again, unless I’ve missed it – as far as I know he has made no public statement of support of Fr Mark Morris, sacked as Catholic chaplain at Glasgow Caledonian University, and, as far as I know, has not said publicly that since he’s not in the business of providing priests who are less than fully believing Catholics to offer pastoral care for anyone, including students, there won’t be a Catholic chaplain at GCU, end of discussion.

Excellent and courageous video (I couldn’t make out the first question, though, because the music was still playing. Then again, I identify as someone who has trouble making out a Scottish accent…..).

I think the LGBT phenomenon is deliberately well-funded and promoted in order to destroy the Church and/or intimidate her into silence (silence would be virtually the same as destruction). The people trapped in this addiction don’t seem to realize that they are being used, and that when the objective is achieved, they will be the next target.

In fact, recently a group of lesbians demanded that the “L” be removed from “LGBT” because their identity as lesbians was being obscured! Truly, you can’t make this stuff up. So the revolution, as revolutions always do, is already eating its own.

As for “hate,” it is those trapped in the LGBT behavior who hate: they hate themselves, because deep down, they know they are destroying themselves. But since they refuse to admit that, they project their self-hatred on others. They hate the truth about what they do, and therefore they hate anyone who affirms that truth.

      Editor,

Obvious solution: if you left unsaid things you intended to say, then….make a second video and post it! I’ve got the popcorn and Pepsi-Cola ready….

        RCA Victor,

You are kind to a fault. So, thank you for your charitable encouragement.

However, I’m not going to stretch your charity too much, worry not; once this series is completed, we’ll be taking our leave of the film industry, so don’t pile up too much popcorn and Pepsi-Cola 😀

Patricia I know that your trying to get your message across about the Perverts and Deviants within our Society who say now that Homosexuality is good and we all should ( pardon the pun ) get behind them . My only complaint is that when referring to Homosexuals please call them Homosexuals both you and I know that there is Nothing Gay about what these Perverts get up to and it has to be spoken out and I thank God that at least you have the courage to say this Behaviour is against Nature even whether one believes in God or doesn’t the Disease statistics alone with which this lifestyle carries makes it one of the Biggest threat both Morally Physical and Spiritual that Mankind has ever faced .That our Clergy doesn’t speak out on this threat mean only 1 of 2 things .Either they are Practicing this Perverted way of life or they do not see anything Sinful in it . I am a Sinner and don’t proclaim to be a Saint. But anything outside the Natural Order of Man and Woman is wrong very wrong. Thank you and now you can sit back and await the hatemail which will come from the Sodomites who are always Preaching Tolerance.

      Faith of our Fathers,

I used to be quite strict about the business of not using their terminology but it’s too far gone now, it’s impossible to avoid it and as long as we make clear we don’t accept the behaviour, that’s about the best any of us can do now. The video is clear on that point, and that’s the main thing. I absolutely agree that priests must preach about this issue, if only to make sure the young know it’s sinful.

Josephine i don’t agree with you and al tell you why . Although the Transgender Mob are Alphabetically attached to the Homosexual Mob they now are drumming up their own language with all of these Garbage Pronouns of which am sure you have read or heard of Jordan Peterson refusing to call them Cis or Bye or They . or any of the other 50 or so Gender Pronouns that these Perverts demand we call them . So what do we do if a Girl walks in and says am now Gender Bender and was called Eve but now you call me Bio Gender Cis Adam . You of course see where all this Insanity is going. It’s to create a completely new language for Children. It’s to change the Dictionary and set their own language agenda that they DEMAND we follow. No call them what they are not Gay nothing like it call them Homosexuals and that’s being polite.

The discussion isn’t about “transgender” language. I will never recognise anyone as being anything but their biological sex at time of their birth. He or she. End of discussion.

But, if I am in a discussion ABOUT the phenomenon of transgenderism, I’ll have to use the term.

        Gimme strength.

      FOOF

At one time I did my best not to use the term “gay” and when I do, in writing, I put it in inverted commas because I do object to the theft of the word for this purpose. I do, in conversation, refer mostly to “homosexuals’ but in making a video such as the one above, with a very short time-span available, it’s not so easy. It’s really a secondary issue now – the urgent task is to make sure that the truth is communicated, in a manner that will bring people to see why it is unacceptable and, for any practising Catholic, presumably seeking to live a life of virtue, that should be possible to do without resorting to name-calling.

I say that because I cannot see what possible good there is in describing homosexuals as “perverts and deviants” as you have done – the behaviour is a perversion, certainly; and it does deviate from its intended purpose, but that is quite distinct from the people. If you had understood the video, you would know that I tried to make very clear that we always, if we claim to be truly Christian, always distinguish between the person and the behaviour, the sin and the sinner. You do not appear to do that and that’s a very basic mistake.

Now, I’ll leave your post as it is, this time, so that readers can see this correction, but from now on, FOOF, I will delete such terms from your posts, as well as the impure undertones, if YOU “get the pun”.

I liked the video a lot – enjoyed the interview/conversation style for a change and it was all needing to be said, it’s long overdue time to call out the homosexual lobby on so-called hate speech, which is just a way of enforcing critics to keep quiet.

      Laura,

Thank you – yes, definitely the threat of being accused of “hate speech” is designed to silence any questioning of the LGBT-Z “lifestyle”.

Just listened to the video – had problems playing it earlier. Thank you so much for standing up for truth and explaining the Faith so clearly and succinctly. If ONLY we had a few clergy willing to do the same. If there are any out there who have a bit of gumption – like Fr Morris – I hope they will be inspired to speak out and lead those faithful who are left, and who have ears to listen. How we would honour them for their conviction and Faith. God would reward them, and I know He will reward you for your bravery, zeal and Catholic example. Our Lady will be so proud of such a faithful daughter.

      Therese,

How very kind – your praise is way beyond what I’m due for what I consider to be a poor-through-to-awful-performance, but thank you anyway – the main thing is that the key message gets across and hopefully that’s been achieved.

God bless you for your charity – and the others who have likewise overlooked the flaws in the film.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE…

A couple of times in the recent past, bloggers have enquired about The Case of the Missing Athanasius, since it’s quite some time since he put in an appearance here.

In an effort to prevent a conversation developing on the subject, since, generally speaking, I try not to put pressure on bloggers, many of whom have family and work commitments which mean they can only blog “as and when”, I suggested that enquirers should email me privately, adding that Athanasius’s reason for not blogging at the present time “doesn’t put him in a good light, far from it” .

It has been drawn to my attention that this might lead readers to speculate that Athanasius is guilty of some dark crime, or at least held under police caution pending an identity parade 😀

Not at all. It’s much more mundane, I’m afraid – partly a simple misunderstanding between Athanasius and myself, very easily explained…

    https://m0.herfamily.ie/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/15182751/minion13.jpg

And partly for personal reasons which have nothing to do with the blog, so he’s currently AWL (Absent With Leave) for the foreseeable future.

I hope that clarifies the position.

Athanasius is, however, a chocoholic so I’m going to remind him of what awaits him if only he decides to cut short that leave!

    Drum roll…
