Yes indeed, the “consecration of Russia” is the right answer!…

      Lionel,

If only Pope Francis could see that. But first, he needs to see that there is a crisis! What we see as “diabolical disorientation” he sees as enlightenment!

    Great job, Editor!

Speaking of the Consecration: America Needs Fatima, identified by Chris Ferrara as one of the “false friends of Fatima” in his book of the same name, has apparently altered somewhat their position on whether the Consecration has been done. They now admit that it hasn’t, but claim that Sr. Lucy said it was supposed to prevent WWII and therefore should have been done “between 1929 [when requested] and 1939.”

They further claim that Sr. Lucy said this: “The Holy Father! Pray very much for the Holy Father. He will do it, but it [the Consecration] will be too late! Nevertheless, the Immaculate Heart of Mary will save Russia. It has been entrusted to Her.”

(Page 88, “The Immaculate Heart of Mary and God’s Plan for America,” by Luiz Sergio Solimeo. I do not recommend this book!)

That’s the first time I’ve ever heard of Sr. Lucy saying that the Consecration would be too late. “Late,” yes, but “too late?” Also, according to this deceptive author, an entrusting of Russia has now replaced the Consecration!

      Yes RCA,
You’re right about America Needs Fatima (a.k.a. (Insert country) Needs Fatima, a.k.a. Tradition, Family & Property.) They have a very mixed-up view of the Consecration of Russia. The ‘official’ World Apostolate of Fatima are also now pushing this error that Our Lady said it would be done, although it would be ‘too late’. I saw one of their videos recently, and one of their spokesmen, Carlos Evaristo, used the phrase ‘too late’. The official texts in Sister Lucia’s memoirs have never stated ‘too late’, only that ‘the Holy Father will do it, but it will be late’. It will be interesting to see if newer editions have been doctored, to fit this new thesis. Christopher Ferrara wrote an article disputing ANF’s stance:- http://archive.fatima.org/news/newsviews/ferraraexpose.pdf

        WF,

Thank you for that Christopher Ferrara article – I look forward to reading it later. He’s excellent at nailing the lies.

        Westminsterfly,

The copyright date on this book is last year (2017), so this may well be the revision. I was given it in response to a question I asked someone about the TFP’s position on the Consecration, which we discussed here a few years ago.

The strategy seems to be to tie the Consecration request exclusively to WWII, and to hope that everything else just evaporates – though the book does also admit that Russia has not converted. But this author Solimeo is extremely dishonest. Here is his technique on pp. 88-89:

He first states that Our Lord and Our Lady complained to Sr. Lucy several times about the Consecration not being done, and that they said that when it would be done it would already be too late. He then cites 3 things as attempted proof for this statement:

        1. A quote from a letter from Sr. Lucy to a Fr. Goncalves on Jan. 21, 1935. However, the quote supplied from this letter does not mention anything about “too late.”
        2. Quotes another letter to this same priest on May 18, 1936, which again mentions nothing about “too late.” This is a longer quote that is indented.
        3. After the indented quote, the author then re-states the false quote I posted in my second paragraph above – as though it is part of the indented quote, which it is not!

I think I will write a nasty note to ANF/TFP about this rubbish.

I think the reason for this revisionist desperation from all these Fatima groups is because it is now 34 years since Pope John Paul II’s consecration of the world (without the full support of the college of bishops) and there is clearly no world peace, and Russia has obviously become a greater threat to world peace than at any time since the Cold War. But rather than face facts and admit that they did get it wrong, and that Fr Gruner’s Fatima Network was right all along, they try and rewrite the Fatima message to suit their own misconceptions.

      RCA Victor,

      Thank you.

America Needs Fatima is to be avoided at all costs. As you have just demonstrated, they have switched from one error to another. Let them go, let them tarry, as the song goes!

That’s an excellent conversation piece but, I have to say, where on earth to start? Surely only God can stop this madness. Sound young seminarians? Where on earth would we find them since the Faith has NOT been taught for such a long time now?

      Crofterlady,

As it says in the video, it is going to take a long time and I agree it will probably not even begin until after the Consecration. Then, IMHO, there will be a spirit of repentance in the Church and a wholesale going back to basics. I can’t see any other way.
