Trump Visit: Khan Guilty of Inciting Hatred? Think Name-calling “Fascist” – NOT Funny
Comment
The above video interview dates from President Trump’s previous visit to the UK when the same ugly baby balloon image of him was permitted that will be flown in London during this week’s visit. It’s a disgrace. It’s insulting, as is his description of the President as a “fascist“. One thought which crosses my mind is whether a Christian Mayor would have been so unkind, whatever his political views. Now, before I’m arrested for “hate speech” let me make my position clear; just try it – if anyone is guilty of hate speech and inciting to hatred, it is, in my considered view, Sadiq Khan. And let me add, by way of emphasising that thought which crossed my mind, I sincerely hope that no Christian Mayor of London (or anywhere else for that matter) would be so cruelly unkind in his remarks and in permitting such an insulting image to be publicly displayed during such an important state visit. I know it’s completely unfashionable to even hint at anything negative in any non-Christian religion but that’s too bad. I’m hinting. In Christianity, we are taught to love even our enemies, to “do good to those who persecute you” – I’m wondering if there is anything similar is Islamic teaching that should have prevented Khan from being so nasty to Donald Trump? Obviously, as a public figure, the President is not above criticism, but nasty personal remarks and caricatures?
Headlines today scream that it is Trump who is insulting Khan! Laughable. As it is laughable that Trump is intervening in UK elections by suggesting Boris Johnson for PM. Having watched the interview, I am appalled at the dishonesty. The political editor of The Sun ASKED Donald Trump for his opinion on various people including Boris, so it is entirely disingenuous to give the impression that the President pushed for any particular candidate in the leadership race. He simply answered a question. End of.
No wonder Donald Trump despises the mainstream media. Me, too. What about you? IS Sadiq Khan guilty of inciting hatred against the President of the United States of America?

Sadiq Khan is a failed Mayor – everyone knows that. The streets of London are very unsafe these days and he’s doing zero to put it right. As for the POTUS’ state visit, as far as I know he hasn’t been invited to the Queen’s banquet for Trump so he is probably feeling snubbed, LOL!
Yes, he definitely IS inciting hatred, IMHO. Not that that will make any difference. There was a protest against him last time Trump was here, when a man tried to get him arrested, but nothing happened.
I just wish Donald Trump had taken the high ground and not answered back. That would prevent he msm from muddying the waters. It’s KHAN who insulted TRUMP – Trump just answered back, but it’s a pity he did answer back because the msm are using that against the President, conveniently letting Khan off the hook.
The baby balloon is an utter disgrace. There is no way that would be allowed for any other visiting dignitary. Shame on London.
Nicky,
I agree with everything you say – Sadiq Khan has a nerve allowing that disgusting balloon and calling the President of the United States a “fascist”.
He should resign immediately.
I couldn’t agree more. Sadiq Khan is a total embarrassment.
I’ve just been watching the BBC news at one and I cannot believe their duplicity. The commentator said that just before landing Donald Trump launched a “ferocious attack” on the mayor (which nobody was expecting!) with no mention that the mayor had called him a fascist!
For a long time now, I’ve been listening to the news with a huge pinch of salt. I hardly believe anything they say, and I often check stuff by going online. If it’s about Trump I know it will be skewed, so I check Fox News and some commentators.
No wonder the BBC’s reputation is tarnished and has been for a long time.
I do agree that Trump doesn’t help himself. If he’d ignored Khan’s nasty comments, that would have isolated Khan.
I agree – the msm is spinning this as Trump attacking Khan. I copied this from the HuffPost@
“Trump landed in the UK shortly after 9am on Monday and had already caused great offence even before the wheels of Air Force One had touched the ground at Stansted, targeting London Mayor Sadiq Khan in a series of tweets.
They are such liars. If I’m being unfair, and maybe they genuinely don’t know that Khan called Trump a fascist and is allowing the ugly baby balloon to fly during the visit, then I apologise. Somehow, though, I think they know perfectly well, but want to keep misleading the public into hating Trump.
If this isn’t inciting to hatred, then I don’t know what is.
All interesting comments so far – thanks folks. And since we all recognise the scurrilous role of the media in inciting hatred of Trump, I thought this video, which has just arrived in my inbox, might be of interest on this thread…
Editor,
Brilliant video.
Khan is a muslim and Islam is a death cult which has been built on hatred from the beginning. When he speaks, he speaks as a hate-filled muslim socialist and is not qualified to speak for the British or the English. He may have a constituency in London, but the population there is no longer British or English as John Cleese so haplessly observed.
The BBC just adore everything socialist/communist and everything muslim, so of course they give Khan airtime he does not merit along with unqualified support. The BBC have long been part of the effort to destroy British culture (whatever is left of it) and people like Khan are their allies in this fight.
Trump may be loud-mouthed, bombastic and have dubious morals, but I woud wager that there are a lot more people in this country who would trust him with our best interests rather than Khan and his cronies.
Deacon Augustine,
I’ve been really astounded at the antipathy directed at Trump in the broadcasting media today. Just incredible. The indulgence shown towards dictators guilty of torturing and executing people stands in stark contrast to the naked hatred of Donald Trump.
Interestingly, I found myself in a hospital E & A Department last night (with a relative who needed attention) and got into conversation with a young man who overheard us discussing Donald Trump and the hostility towards him in the media. To my amazement, this young man intervened to say he couldn’t help overhearing, that he thought Trump a great President and that – wait for this – the reason he is so hated by the media is (drum roll) because he has acted to prevent abortion. I couldn’t believe my ears.
I think there is definitely a case to be made in that area. Were he NOT making clear that he won’t fund Planned Parenthood or tolerate infanticide, I doubt if the hatred would be quite so deep.
As for your closing paragraph – absolutely. Spot on.
editor,
That young man in the hospital was absolutely right. Most of the media, along with their socialist masters in all the major political parties and churches, are servants of Satan when it comes to abortion. They genuflect at the altar of Moloch and consequently hate anybody who opposes their cult of child sacrifice. Trump is the first world leader who has tried to restrict it so he incurs their wrath because of this. When you also consider that most of the child-trafficking and sex-slave trade into America goes on across the US-Mexico border, his actions there make them even madder.
Orban and Salvini receive similar treatment for similar reasons.
Deacon Augustine
I am increasingly astounded at the way in which the desire to protect the unborn is seen as an outrage, and “taking people back centuries” – it seems to be that the killing of babies in the womb is universally accepted now as a good thing. I’m repeatedly left open mouthed listening to women in debates about this, usually following mention of the USA abortion bans in some States – God bless them.
It’s as if they actually do not realise that it IS a human being – honestly; THEY are the ones going back centuries. They need to sit through this short video of a baby who is very active in the womb… Pity about the background music – I can never understand why people do that, especially in this sort of video; the activity of the baby is compelling in itself, no need for the dramatic music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpPusadnAd0
The drive to kill off these babies in the womb, on nothing more important that the “woman’s [imagined] right to choose” will horrify future generations who will look on this scandal in the same way that the rest of us look at other genocides in history.
Madame Editor,
If President Trump was pro-abortion (and at one time he was!), the msm would be adoring him as the greatest President ever.
Because he is passionately pro-life, the media will harp on him until Election Day 2020 or 2024 (provided he gets re-elected, which is another reason why they’re persecuting him).
Yours in Christ the King,
Margaret
Here’s something I posted on a few Catholic Facebook pages, together with a photo of President and First Lady stepping out of ‘Air Force One’
……’Three cheers for Donald J. for putting London Mayor Sadiq (‘stone cold loser’) Khan in his place this morning. Khan has lost the plot with regard to the knife crime epidemic in his city – and he knows it.
…. ‘The causes of violent crime are extremely complex’…. claimed the staunchly pro-abort Muslim https://news.sky.com/story/sadiq-khan-says-london-police-numbers-will-plummet-without-increased-funding-11570430
Not so complex, Mr Khan, when we’ve lost all sense of the sanctity of human life. If it’s acceptable to kill people before they’re born, what’s wrong with killing them afterwards? How can we expect to be safe in our streets and even in our homes, when innocent babies are not safe in their own mothers’ wombs?’…
I await the reaction.
This is when I wish Catholic Truth had a Twitter feed – this is a very good thread and should be read very widely. I’m not on Twitter but I hope bloggers who are will spread this thread around because it’s an absolute disgrace that this mayor (and “failed” is the right adjective) should insult the POTUS as he has done, with the support of the equally anti-democratic mainstream media.
Politics and the media are really and truly corrupt in the UK – no wonder The Brexit Party is surging in popularity.
I do honestly think that if anyone else had said what Khan has said about any left-wing world leader, they’d be charged with inciting hatred. Trump got it right when he called him a “loser” – he really is. I know nothing about the London mayoral election but I hope he’s kicked out of office soon, as he’s much too arrogant and smug to resign.
Confession – I’m not too strong on the “love thy enemy” bit of the Gospel today, LOL!
Actually on Twitter especially Anything Catholic at the moment would be Slaughtered. I know I was Banned twice last month arguing with 5 Pagans. They of course are mostly Transgender or Homosexual. Who constantly went on about Abusing Clergy which one must take unfortunately on the chin . But as soon as you Mention other Churches which are a lot worse than the Catholic Church it’s Ban them get them off of there using that BS word Homophobic.
Maybe most certainly on Facebook as it has actually done a little more leaning to the right since Trump said they were biased ( my opinion of course) but certainly not on Twitter .
I think he’s immune from investigation and criticism because he’s a Muslim and it wouldn’t be politically correct to challenge him. All part of the diabolical nature of the media and the establishment.
I meant to say “Facebook” as well as Twitter, now having read Pat McKay’s post!
I loved his second ‘tweet’, comparing Khan to NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio – ‘only half his height’. A nice way of dismissing him as an insignificant little squirt. Brilliant!
Pat McKay,
I agree! LOL!
Stop using Twitter and Facebook as much and tryout the new Social Media Platform , Parler . At least on their one doesn’t have to Kow Tow to The Religion of Peace and Homosexuality .
Parler? Never heard of them.
I remembered reading an article in Catholic Truth quite a while ago, about St Thomas Aquinas on immigration. I Googled and found this which shows the stupidity of the Bishops of America (and no doubt the UK bishops are just the same) in comparison with the saint’s sensible insight into the best way to deal with immigration. If his standard was applied, the likes of Sadiq Khan are unlikely to be in such positions of influence – which they then abuse, as he had unquestionably done today.
http://www.ncregister.com/blog/kschiffer/what-the-bishops-the-catechism-and-st.-thomas-aquinas-say-about-immigration
The article is very good and covers the criticism of Trump when he introduced his temporary restrictions on Muslims coming into the States from certain countries, which is one of the things the President did that the critics harp on about. It finishes with extracts from the Catechism of the Catholic Church which support the President’s Executive Order:-
The Catechism of the Catholic Church speaks even more clearly about the responsibility of government to protect its citizens, even while welcoming the stranger. It’s sometimes reported that the Catholic Church teaching requires an open-border policy under which immigrants can enter the country without restraint. Actually, though, there are important qualifiers which must be considered.
According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church:
2241 The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner in search of the security and the means of livelihood which he cannot find in his country of origin. Public authorities should see to it that the natural right is respected that places a guest under the protection of those who receive him.
So a nation is not required to accept an unlimited number of immigrants, which would impose a burden on its own citizens – but we should be generous in accepting immigrants to the extent that we are able. And the decision regarding how many immigrants a nation can support should fall, not to the Church and the clergy – who are warm-hearted and who seek to bring Christ’s love to all, but who may lack understanding of political realities – but to laypersons who are familiar with the community’s limitations and who can most effectively integrate Church teaching into societal practice.
The Catechism continues:
Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants’ duties toward their country of adoption.
It is not wrong, according to the Catechism, to impose restrictions – such as President Trump’s 60- to 90-day moratorium on immigration from certain areas – while plans can be enacted to ensure the safety and well-being of the American people.
Finally, the Catechism acknowledges that immigrants are only to be welcomed if they are willing to obey our laws.
Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.
I’m appalled that the POTUS is not being warmly welcomed by everyone in politics and the media. If he sticks to his promise of a good free trade deal, that will speak to his generous spirit, against the meanness of the UK establishment.
“Fascist” is definitely not funny.
If that was anyone else but Donald Trump there would be hell to pay.
It’s really the nail for me – the final straw. I’ve not had the highest opinion of Khan but he’s really sunk low now, beyond sub-zero.
‘Queen Nicola the First’ has been strangely quiet about the State Visit.
Perhaps she’s feeling a bit guilty about her ill-mannered snub when he landed at Prestwick last July… Yeh, right!
Pat McKay,
I think she’s realising her mistake now because Trump is heading for Ireland after his London visit – not Scotland which could have been the case if she had been a bit more diplomatic.
Pat McKay and Fidelis,
It was not Nicola Sturgeon who snubbed Donald Trump but the other way round. Downing Street had informed the First Minister that the President intended making a private visit to Scotland and that they expect him to request a meeting with her. No such request was made and therefore the First Minister did not refuse to meet him.
Former First Minister, Henry McLeish, said at the time “He is using Scotland as a sporting venue and it seems a massive discourtesy that he wouldn’t even suggest a meeting with the head of the Scottish Government.”
Scottish Secretary David Mundell, who met the President at the airport on behalf of the UK Government, and who is hardly a fan of Nicola Sturgeon, said “Donald Trump was wrong to snub Nicola Sturgeon on his visit to Scotland this month.”
Had a meeting been requested Nicola Sturgeon would have met him despite the fact that, being his usual undiplomatic self, he said that he “totally hates” her. She said “I will meet him if the opportunity arises and I’m sure if it does arise we’ll have plenty to talk about, like the close links between our countries and what we can do to strengthen those links,”
Vianney,
Trump should not have said he totally hated Nicola Sturgeon, but neither should she have told him he wasn’t welcome in Scotland last year and taken away his status as a business ambassador for Scotland. That was all nasty and petty – he’s not a particularly religious man so it’s hardly surprising that he said he hates her. She’s not all that popular in Scotland either, remember, LOL!
https://inews.co.uk/news/politics/donald-trump-not-welcome-scotland-say-political-leaders/
Also, don’t forget that she endorsed Hillary Clinton during the campaign for US President, someone who is pro-abortion up to birth and with a dreadful record all round.
One more thing. Half the things they say Donald Trump lied about don’t stand up to examination. They are saying – e.g. – that he backtracked on his demand that the NHS be on the table for any trade deal when the fact is, and it was obvious at the time, he didn’t understand what the NHS is. The media set traps for him all the time. THEY are the real liars.
Apparently Queen Elizabeth didn’t get the leftist & media message about President Trump:
https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/06/03/pics-president-trump-inspects-guard-members-royal-family/
As for the above video and the Mayor of London, I gave up trying to decipher the rapid-fire, meaningless patter between him and the interviewer. Speaking at 90 miles/hour with a British accent just isn’t compatible with my comprehension rate, I guess, and it came off to me as just more fake news, presented as a fake confrontation.
However, I don’t think ridicule qualifies as hate, and this balloon is clearly ridicule. I think the term “hate” has been destroyed by the left through over-use to mean anything which affirms Christian morality in the face of the LGBS militants, and anything that reveals the truth about Islam. Thus, morality = hate, truth = hate, and any speech or written material that contains either or both = hate.
That said, if the shoe were on the other foot – i.e. someone called Mr. Khan a fascist or floated a balloon ridiculing him – you can bet your bottom euro that orchestrated outrage would immediately appear on all possible media fronts, screaming “HATE”!!!!!!
As for Mr. Khan calling President Trump a fascist, he is just repeating what Trump’s enemies have been calling him, over here, since he was elected. I seriously doubt whether Mr. Khan even knows the meaning of the word, and the net result is that he is making a fool of himself, as are all these media teleprompter readers who have sold their souls to the globalist Devil.
Khan to me unfortunately is something that on here am not allowed to say . That since this Muslim Tyrant has been So Called Mayor of Londonstan as it is now more known as but not just officially named says it all really. Of course not one to try and miss a Brownie Point Jeremy Corbyn has jumped on the Fascist wagon . Had it been last month I doubt if one would have been able to drag Jeremy away from his Ramadan Vindaloo Dinner to make a comment. But Britains answer to Fidel Castro has of course done so although the British people let him know what they thought of him last week. As for The Islamic Problem and it is a Problem. They have been coming to my Area and yours Ed probably for 50 years and I know not nor really want to know any of The Religion of Peace. I done a job many years ago for one and that experience was enough for me .
As for President Donald Trump he has told Khan he’s useless I don’t think that he even thought Jeremy deserved a Comment. Of course Our MSM Especially The Rotten To The Core Muslim Luvin Homosexual Luvin Christian Hating BBC and all of the loony Left will try and disrupt as much as possible. The rest of the people have work to go to .
Faith of our Fathers,
You’ve given me some laugh! You should be on the TV! “The rest of the people have work to go to.” – that’s hilarious! LOL!
This is appalling. A Trump supporter was attacked and hit with a milkshake today – and the police stood by and did nothing. How can that possibly happen?
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7103743/Trump-supporter-viciously-attacked-doused-milkshake.html
If that happened to me, I would report it formally as an assault and demand that the police investigate. Somebody shouted “Nazi” at Anna Soubry (remain MP) and found himself charged and in court even though he didn’t lay a finger on her. Double standards.
Josephine,
Another example of the diabolical disorientation in the world, as well as the Church, as foretold at Fatima.
As for your final paragraph – me, too. I would go to town if I was assaulted at one of these supposedly free speech political events. In fact, if I saw police officers standing around doing nothing about it, I’d be seriously tempted to go and buy a milkshake myself and throw it over the first person on the other side of the debate who looked he may have been my assailant, and then await – you got it in one – arrest and charge.
Disgraceful double standards. Blatant.
Sadiq Khan is an oaf. It genuinely saddens me that we currently have such small, petty men in such prominent positions – Bercow and Corbyn are other examples.
Although I am sure he has his faults, I think President Trump is great and small men like Khan are like the dust on his shoes. Regardless of what we might think of others, we should treat guests with respect and the reaction to the Presidents visit to the UK has been disgraceful in some quarters.
Fortunately we can always rely on the likes of Khan to show themselves up. After his grandstanding, at the Presidents arrival, by listing his values including “women are equal to men” – it then transpired he had spoken at an event where women were not allowed to use the same entrance as men.
Personally I was impressed by how the President carried himself at meetings with Royal and visits to Historical locations. Mostly tellingly, when he reviewed troops with the Prince of Wales, his demeanour showed a real respect for, and interest in, them – which I think speaks volumes for his connection with the “ordinary joe”. I think this is why he is so popular and so hated by liberal elites.
The ‘mayor’ is a troll, pure and simple. He does not care, he is instructed to collapse the city, take as much money as possible and hand over the keys to the NWO and the banks. Is why immigration is unvetted into London.
