USA: Pro-Abortion Politician Inspired By Pope Francis – Seriously? God Help America! Please!
From the Remnant Newspaper (writing about the Democrat opposition candidate to Donald Trump in the forthcoming election in the USA, Mr Bernie Sanders…)
Every now and again, Sanders the cold-blooded dictator peeks out from behind the philanthropic old socialist veneer, and in those moments he sounds like this:
“The idea that women in this country should not be able to control their own bodies is beyond belief. They have that constitutional right. So if you’re asking me, would I ever appoint a Supreme Court justice who does not believe in defending Roe versus Wade, who does not believe that a woman has the right to control her own body, I will never do that.” (Source: Meet the Press 2019 interview of 2020 presidential hopefuls)
It’s also hitting the news that Sanders is considering a list of potential executive orders to unilaterally enact on Day 1, should he win the election. Chief among these is to reverse Trump’s Mexico City policy while forcing Americans to fund providers of “abortion counseling” such as, obviously, Planned Parenthood.
The list of executive orders also includes gems like directing the Justice Department to legalize marijuana and declaring climate change a national emergency.
Feeling the Bern yet, America? He’s the Dems’ lead on the way to the primaries, and guess who inspires him?
You see how these two men just really care about poor people? Such humility and humanity, heading right out to those peripheries to help the marginalized! That must be why this rabid pro-abort is a big fan of Pope Francis… They’ve got a lot in common!
And I guess the “sick and corrupt society” Sanders mentions is you and me, right? With our obnoxious love of unborn babies and God-fearing methods of policing ourselves through Christian values and such.

That’s really laughable. If he thinks he’ll get the Catholic vote (if there is such a thing any more) by praising Francis, then he really is out of touch with reality.
I watched Question Time on BBC last night and couldn’t help thinking that most people are out of touch with reality these days, at least those who are in the loop to get invited onto programmes like QT. All extreme lefties – even the supposedly right wing Government minister on the panel was agreeing with everybody else on nearly every topic. But if there were any people in the audience who disagreed, e.g. about Trump they weren’t saying anything. The panel and audience members who spoke out, were all anti-Trump.
It will be a disgrace if Mr Sanders gets any Catholic votes in the election.

Sadly (tragically), Bernie Sanders will get lots of Catholic votes, if he wins the party nomination. Barack Hussein Obama, the fake American citizen, won with the “Catholic” vote both in 2008 and 2012. Why? Because the corrupt USCCB is in bed with the Democratic Party (e.g. Cdl. Dolan of New York and his scandalous annual Al Smith fund-raiser dinner), and because these nominal Catholics still harbor the delusion that the Democrats are the party of the working man, whereas the Republicans, dontcha know, are the party of the rich.
(BTW, Obama also reversed President Bush’s “Mexico City Policy” about abortion as soon as he took office.)
But it doesn’t look as though Bernie will win the nomination, for the surprising reason that his party considers his far-left platform too scary for most Americans – even though his platform is exactly what the Communists/Democrats are after. Got to maintain that boiled frog thing, you know, and put the human race in prison gradually, lest they awaken and fight….
I say that about Bernie’s prospects because of what just happened in the Iowa caucuses. The Democrats were using some new cell phone app to report voting results, and lo and behold, the whole thing crashed and no results were reported. But guess what: it crashed because Bernie came in first. There were other suspicious circumstances as well.
As for Bernie and his Marxist buddy Pope Francis, here’s a variation on the old saying, “Monkey see, monkey do”: “Marxist gets paid, Marxist lies.”

Just this week our “Saviour” Blundering Boris freed us from the Brussels yoke on Saturday and tethered us to the Global Warming Marxists on Tuesday.
I suppose he will be visiting our holy father soon to endorse the communist IPPC manifesto in Rome.
If our readers are not aware, he promises to ban all grown up cars and vehicles by 2030 and replace them with Scalectric versions, and remove all gas central boilers from our homes.
So who needs birth control and compulsory abortion, the greenies will freeze you to death first as we will have no dispatchable reliable power supplies.
Just windmills, solar panels, unicorn dust and moonbeams producing electricity to power the economy.
But it should not be forgotten that one of the main objectives of the global warming religious cult is to reduce the world’s population to a “viable” level of 100 million or so.
This objective is endorsed by people like Sachs, Schellenhuber, and pope Francis at the Vatican Scientific Forum which is in session this week.

Snap! I watched my very last edition of Question Time last night. It’s easily one of the worst editions I’ve ever seen.
Because I had followed the Brett Kavanaugh interrogations by the USA Congress live as much as possible and saw the blatant false reporting on TV, I made a point – as I’ve already said elsewhere on this blog – of watching the impeachment live. I admitted here at the time that I’ve not watched so much TV for years! But it has been well worth it because…
I can see clearly that those who are commenting on the Trump impeachment on TV here, either haven’t been paying attention; didn’t watch it live for themselves and didn’t listen to commenters on both sides (Fox AND CNN) OR (drum roll) they did so. and are. quite simply, a bunch of liars, OR (another drum roll) they didn’t watch it and rely only on second hand opinions, which makes them as thick as mince, with a couple of onions thrown into the mix. Stupid is, as stupid does, as the daft saying goes.
As the close of the QT programme drew near last night, I realised that I had just wasted an hour of my life listening to people who are either liars of stupid. Not sure which. Either way, life’s too short. Anything of note will be reported in the mainstream news next day so I won’t be missing anything. I won’t be watching QT any more, listening to the ignorance spouted by journalists like Rachel Shabi and the viciously pro-abortion Labour MP Stella Creasy. Thanks, but no thanks.
The hatred for Donald Trump should make anyone with even a modicum of intelligence, stop and think hard. They clutch at straws to defend their hatred – the latest being their claim that he refused to shake the hand of Nancy-lets-kill-babies-even-after-birth-Pelosi. I don’t think he did refuse at all. He was half turned away from her when she decided to thrust out her hand. Frankly, this not being one of my more charitable moments, I tend to think she did that deliberately, knowing he wouldn’t see it, and then she could generate some headlines. What a (fill in the adjective) piece of work.
Sadly, though, Sanders is very likely to get Catholic votes. The majority know as much about Catholicism as they do about conscience, because they have neither Catholic Faith nor a properly formed, intelligent conscience.
The Francis effect on the American Catholics will be enormous if The Internet is anything to go by. Plus of course you have The Graveyard effect where The Dead will arise like Lazarus to Vote Democrat . Sanders is an Evil Old Man who ( in his words has never worked a day in his life ) his running Mate is of course none other than The Good Catholic the Idiot Cortez . Between the 2 off them they couldn’t run an Ice Cream Van as probably at the end of the run The Idiot Cortez who has More or Less condemned Cows if Sanders gets in ,would have to count the takings. Bernie of course would have ripped off most of the Youngsters going for an Ice Cream as that is just his way. As for Question Time Ed the last time I watched that was when a hand Picked Homosexual Panel. With a hand picked Homosexual Audience were discussing Homosexual Marriage. Am sure you probably remember it the Horrible Will Young was denigrating ( at that time ) Cardinal O Brian before of course the whole scandal of him came out . In more ways than one .
The one seeming to run near the top in the Democrats is that monster Buttegeig. Somehow I think that he is a failed Catholic and certainly he is strongly in favour of abortion up to birth. He too is likely to appeal to CINOs.

I saw a good bit of the President;s “celebration” (end of impeachment debacle) meeting last night and he was really entertaining – he’s got a great sense of humour and a very kind soul. That came across, both at the State of the Union address and at the celebration conversation with his supporters afterwards.
His vicious critics always refer to his “attitude to women’s rights” – in other words, his actions to save unborn babies from being murdered in their mother’s womb is one of the (if not THE) key drivers in their hatred of him.
My message to them all is simple: get lost!

Mike Pompeo was giving a lecture yesterday on Communist infiltration of America. He spoke at length about how China had observed the American system for a long time before setting about its infiltration at every level of society over many decades. The bishops have been encouraging them since the 60s when the infiltrators in the Church gained prominence (3rd Secret of Fatima). Pope Francis, for his part, whether intentional or not, is the most radical of all the Conciliar Popes, and that’s saying something. He is, in effect, Jeremy Corbyn in a cassock. Presidents Xi and Putin must have celebrated long into the wee small hours the day ++Bergoglio was elected to the Chair of Peter.

If you haven’t already read it, you might be interested in a book called “The Red Decade” by Eugene Lyons (it’s a PDF online). It outlines in great detail, and with superb writing, the full-scale Communist infiltration of America during the 1920s and especially the 1930s, the latter being the decade he refers to.
In light of the recent and heavily-funded stage management of Greta Thunberg, as well as the utter nonsense produced during the lead-in to the “Youth Synod,” Lyons’ chapter on the Communist exploitation of youth is alone worth the price of admission.

I don’t suppose you have any of that information saved (?) or perhaps could you direct me to a source which discusses these kind of points?
Until I started reading this blog, I (like many) thought Communism was only a failed Russian / Soviet regime, which had long since ceased to be a threat!

It’s a no-brainer to care about the poor and marginalised. All rhetoric of this kind is full of half truths which mislead. No group is poorer or more marginalised than the unwanted unborn. Bernie and co are blinded by the dark.
The unwanted unborn comes under the category of murder of the innocents, not care for the poor, it’s a whole different ball game in terms of sin. Concerning the poor, though, you are of course correct to say that we are all obliged as Christians to do what we can to alleviate hardship, but let’s not confuse that temporal work of mercy with the primary concern we must first have for the worship of God, the keeping of the Commandments and the salvation of our souls. If we are not motivated by this principal grace of charity then our charity, as St. Paul says, is empty of merit, mere humanitarianism.
As an aside, even Our Lord says that the poor are much more likely to be saved than the rich. That makes sense given that wealth increases the occasions for sin and tend to make people feel more self sufficient and less reliant on God. So, in effect, it’s the rich who are more to be pitied (supernaturally) than the poor.
In fine, those who bang on about the world’s poor and marginalised while neglecting the greater duty of charity to love and serve God and save souls, are at best blind humanitarians and at worst Communist deceivers. Bernie is a Communist deceiver. Pope Francis, whether intentional or not, is like Bernie.

I don’t think Pauline meant to equate the materially poor with unborn babies – I took it she meant the exact opposite.
Also, yes, Jesus did make it clear that it was harder to get into Heaven for rich people but he also said that at our Judgment we’d be asked what we did for the poor, those living in need.

I understand what you say about the poor and Our Lord’s words in that regard. The problem today is that too many quote the part about the poor and anything else that pertains to worldly comfort but never a word about the primary objective of saving souls. Pope Francis is a master at this.

I agree – it’s a basic duty to care for the poor. It’s ironic that the same people who make a song and dance about it, don’t think there’s anything wrong with the murder of unborn babies.
