The Truth About The Lockdown…
Watching the totally compliant UK population accepting the need for the ongoing lockdown – that is, the highly questionable (to say the least) removal of our civil liberties – it strikes me that it would be useful for us all to be armed with some key facts and figures to present to people who accept the Government line without question. That is to say, the overwhelming majority of the population. Unlike the situation in the USA, where there is some fightback from rebellious members of the public, and they are lucky enough to have Fox News where the other side of the story is aired, we are subject to unremitting brainwashing here in the UK. Trying to alert others to the fact of a creeping totalitarianism is like trying to convince a toddler to eat his greens first, then the chocolate. They just don’t see what is happening, and any suggestion that what is happening is not in our best interests, brings shakes of the heads and knowing looks that say “Ah, so you’re a conspiracy nut, eh?”
Thus, knowing that our blogger, Athanasius, is currently working on a number of articles on the subject, I very cheekily asked him if he would mind throwing some key facts together for us to discuss on the blog. He agreed, without hesitation, so below, find some crucial information which will throw light on what lies behind the readiness of the Government of the UK (and the devolved administrations) to command us to stay in our homes, granting permission for us to go out only for necessary food, medicine and exercise.
Anyone who questions these new rules is regarded as someone who needs help – in a Communist-style “re-education” camp – because the majority are not simply tolerating this lockdown, but positively embracing it – and, according to reports today, the majority want it to continue for a year. They may well get their wish – and then some…
So, below, check out the facts about this lockdown – seems that there is one man behind the whole thing… Professor Neil Ferguson. Take a look and then share your thoughts on his culpability – or perhaps not. IS he saving us all from ourselves, and from this supposedly deadly virus? Or is something else going on here?
Professor Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London…
His computer generated model on Covid-19 predicted 520,000 dead in the UK and 2.2 million dead in the U.S. unless the UK government committed to a radical policy change from “herd immunity” to national lockdown. Dr. Anthony Fauci in the U.S. was influenced by Ferguson’s model and in turn influenced Donald Trump to alter course from herd immunity to national lockdown. (1)
Ferguson’s model hasn’t been published, so not peer reviewed or scrutinised by other experts. It is his own analysis using his own data and writing his own computer code based on an old model from 2009. The world’s economies closed down as a result. Incredible!
2001 – Ferguson Foot & Mouth disease model – Predicted 150,000 UK deaths. The government culled 6 million healthy cattle in the country at a cost of billions of pounds and the devastation of rural Britain. The ultimate death count from Foot & Mouth was only 200. (2)
2009 – Ferguson Swine Flu model – Predicted 65,000 deaths in the UK, as related by then-Chief Medical Officer Sir Liam Donaldson. Ferguson also predicted up to 4 million possible deaths globally. Requested government to close schools and churches which was declined, but government bought panic loads of vaccines that cost the tax payer £1.24 billion. The final death toll from Swine Flu in the UK was only 457, and between 123,000 – 200,000 globally. (3)
Dr. Anthony Fauci – Addressing attendees at a Georgetown University speech in 2017, he predicted that the incoming Trump Administration would “almost certainly face challenges with infectious diseases”, adding “But also there will be a surprise outbreak…” (4)
In a medical paper co-authored by Fauci and three colleagues and published February 28, 2020, we find this statement: “…If one assumes that the number of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic cases is several times as high as the number of reported cases, the case fatality rate may be considerably less than 1%. This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza…” (5)
Fox News has just run a story objecting to YouTube, owned by Google, removing a local American news programme from its platform citing Covid-19 “misinformation” as its reason. The programme included claims by doctors in the U.S. that they were, among other things, being coerced into altering Coronavirus death stats by including non-related deaths with Covid-19. The video of that news programme received millions of views before being removed. (6)

The docility and blindness of the citizens of the UK regarding this hoax is beyond my comprehension, so perhaps a blog historian or two could come on here and explain this passivity on that side of the pond – a passivity, I should add, which is standing out in sharp contrast to the rest of the world, which is getting more than restless under this orchestrated yoke.
Perhaps one explanation: is the access to alternative media (i.e. sources of truth) much more limited over there than in the USA?
And a question: what about the UK Muslim population? How are they reacting to this?

The media is speaking with one, monotonous, programmed Government voice.
We have no alternative media, whatsoever. Whether you switch on to the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5,Sky News, – whatever. they are all peddling the same baloney.
And nobody notices. That’s the thing. Not a soul notices. Point it out and the response will be along the lines that – well – they’re all giving the same message because the Government (as it keeps claiming) is following the scientists.
Me? I thought it was only the Pope who was infallible and even then, under very limited conditions. So, now we know – the scientists and medics advising the Government, they, too, are infallible. It’s incredible, truly incredible.
As for the Muslim population – not a peep from them. In fact, news bulletins showed that their pilgrimage to Mecca was down on numbers, with a trickle of participants compared to the usual huge crowds. So, they are as passive as everyone else, it seems.
As with so many other things, I’ve read conflicting reports about muslims. I heard that some were ignoring bans and attending UK mosques (without police interference or any consequences) but this has since been denied. The pictures of Mecca were undeniably emptier than usual.
I’ve also read two other reports: (a) that ‘Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic’ people in general are more suspectible to Covid-19, accompanied by a picture of coffins piling up outside a UK mosque, and (b) then I read that muslims are less susceptible because of their hand washing rituals several times daily. I give up. I don’t think the media have a clue and are just printing anything and everything!

Not so sure that they are “just printing anything and everything” because they sure ain’t interviewing anyone and everyone.
I’ve not seen a single dissenter being interviewed – well, there seems to be only ONE dissenter – Peter Hitchens – and I’ve not seen him interviewed on any news broadcast.
Obviously, I can’t see them all, but at main news times, and on the usual suspect channels, I’ve not seen him or even heard him mentioned. If I’m wrong, please let me know as it would go some way to assuring me that there must be somebody out there in the population who has heard an alternative view, and just might see the need to investigate further.
Reading the comments underneath newspaper reports online, gives no such reassurance. Only one person dissented in a report I read earlier today, so I am hoping I get to meet him when we’re both sent to a re-education camp…

My own thoughts, for what they are worth, are that this country has never recovered from the damning effects of The Reformation. The populace lived under conditions similar to those imposed by a Communist dictatorship. Its own subjects were persecuted by the Government. Catholics were spied upon and denounced by neighbours; fined out of existence, imprisoned and executed. The populace looked on and learned the lesson. Fear was the order for many a long day.
Most people kept their heads down and went along to get along, and I don’t think most of us have looked up since. We were,and are, a cowed nation in many respects. We do as we are told. It brings me to tears to say this.

I think your thoughts are worth quite a bit, actually! You bring up a very interesting subject: the effect of the “Reformation” (Rebellion) on the national character.
The three nations that were the most devastated by the rebellion were Germany, England and France. Those three nations, until last year, were also the centerpiece of the EU – Britain having allegedly withdrawn – i.e. subjected to the most comprehensive forms of bureaucratic socialism, the slow road to the deification of the state. And the deification of the state, at the expense of the individual and the family, is the pot of fools’ gold at the end of the Protestant rainbow.
In the current case of England, a likely candidate to awaken the populace would be the Catholic hierarchy and clergy, the successors of those who were hunted down and killed centuries ago. But, as we’ve discussed countless times on this blog, it is those same clergy who are instead leading the faithful to another form of death: a spiritual death of surrender to the world, the flesh and the Devil.
Then there are the SSPX clergy, who have not surrendered but who are curiously silent in their bunker.
I don’t know what the answer is, but maybe we can look to Ireland for a resurrection of the Catholic fighting spirit…

The Mosques, Synagogues and Church of England etc were amongst the first to close. To be fair to the Catholics, they held on, with Bishops issuing guidelines and dispensations for the elderly and vulnerable.

There are several other glaring anomalies in the reporting of Covid-19 by the UK media. The first is that there seems to be only one deadly virus doing the rounds this flu season, the novel Coronavirus. Seasonal Flu and other potentially fatal variant viruses appear to have gone on vacation for the duration. No one is questioning this.
Next up, the numbers. How is it remotely possible for the media to report honestly on Covid-19 infections and deaths when it is literally impossible to collate such information accurately and responsibly in the short time frames they operate by?
Testing – In the UK testing has been extremely limited and it is now emerging that up to 25,000 tests were flawed, resulting in a combination of false positives and negatives. There are also questions over the ability of certain test kits to distinguish between Covid-19 and any other Coronavirus. This adds to the suspicion that the media is presenting false data to the public, doubtless on instruction from the government in order to keep people on message.
Hospital beds – In the midst of such a pandemic as is being portrayed by government and the media we would expect all available hospital beds in the country to be taken up. And yet, for the first time in decades, around 40% of hospital beds in the UK are vacant. This confirms two things: First, that there are hotspot areas worse hit with the virus than most other areas in the country. Second, that while government and the NHS speak of saving lives they are simultaneously stopping cancer and other emergency treatments to everyday patients while awaiting a Covid onslaught that never arrives, thereby putting these other lives at risk. It is also noteable that they have been neglecting one element of the category deemed most at risk from this virus, namely the elderly. The death toll of elderly people locked down in care homes is only beginning to emerge as a national scandal.
Finally, Sweden has maintained the herd immunity strategy in accordance with wisdom garnered from generations of isolating the sick and letting the healthy get on with their lives. It remains no worse off than the lockdown nations with their new wisdom (?) of isolating both the sick and the healthy. This is probably due to the fact that the virus was much wider spread for much longer than was initially believed, hence there was never going to be 520,000 dead in the UK or 2.2 million dead in the U.S.
In effect, to echo Dr. Fauci, what we have witnessed with Covid-19, assuming correct statistical data, which seems to be massively one-sided, as I’ve explained above, are numbers equivalent to a very bad flu season. The scientists can’t lose, though, for they will simply claim that it was their advice to government, acted upon with totalitarian force, that resulted in preventing the worst case scenario they predicted at the start. Sweden begs to difffer!
What a pity that most people just simply bought into the narrative without a whimper of opposition, but then there’s nothing more persuasive than the terror of a silent unseen killer that can snatch away the lives of anyone of any age at any time. That was the job given by government to the media propagandists and they have done it very well.
Turns out, incidentally, that Professor Ferguson’s institution receives millions in funding from the bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Big research grants and big money for vaccine producers. Any chance this could all be orchestrated by forces other than government?
On that note, I’m off to sell the Forth Road Bridge to my neighbours over and over again knowing that most will buy anything on a convincing sell without checking the facts for themselves. Crazy times!

If there had been record deaths, the “experts” would say “told you so” but if, as is happening, the predictions are way off beam, they can say “that’s because of the measures, lockdown, social distancing etc”

That’s the beauty of the “experts” role, they can’t lose. If numbers are high then they simply say “told you so”, and if numbers don’t turn out as predicted they say “that’s because our advice was taken”. And just for good measure, if people start getting a bit edgy about lockdown against low numbers, they say “Ah, don’t be fooled, we expect a second wave and it could hit the children”.
The more I have researched these “experts”, how they think and how they construct their “models”, the more I realise that they haven’t a clue how any given virus is going to spread, it’s all guesswork and that’s why they always get it wrong. This is about research grants and keeping vaccine companies in business with Bill Gates pulling the strings. Insane for any government to direct policy on the basis of what these quacks tell them!

I think there are four distinct issues here, all connected.
One: the virus itself, which is apparently a form of flu – and far from the most deadly form. Normal response: healthy diet, anti-congestion medications including antibiotics, rest. Hospitalization in severe cases.
Two: the origin of the virus, which, as the evidence repeatedly indicates, seems to be the creation of a bio-warfare lab in Wuhan, but also using materials stolen from labs in the US and Canada. Steven Mosher of the Population Research Institute was on to this from the beginning.
Three: the well-orchestrated, panic-generating totalitarian response. This was prepared back in 2010 by a Rockefeller Foundation report, and more recently by the Bill Gates-funded “Event 201” seminar just 6 weeks before the outbreak (October 2019). Event 201 was essentially an in-person detailed simulation of a pandemic response simulation which had already been outlined in 2010.
This orchestrated response includes the following:
-Completely inaccurate computer-modeled forecasts by “experts,” using the same pseudo-scientific methods as the climate change hawkers. Think “East Anglia University” scandal.
-Doomsday pronouncements by the Communist-controlled WHO, using the false forecasts of “experts.”
-WHO’s chicken little routine being echoed by national health councils like the CDC in America.
-The use of the globalist-controlled media to spread, amplify and bombard us with these warnings, in order to produce panic.
-The immediate surrender of politicians, especially those closely connected with the globalist agenda, to this expert and media-driven 24/7 panic.
-The resulting near-universal lockdown, with notable exceptions like Sweden.
-The falsifying of “cause of death” records to jack up the numbers, so that even the relatively low numbers currently circulating are highly questionable.
-The suppression, by social media monopolies like Facebook and YouTube, of any information which disputes the false claims of experts and their mouthpieces.
Meanwhile, besides the falsifying of death records, perhaps the most telling fatal flaw in this panic-demic is the one pointed out by medical personnel (i.e. the true experts…), that there is actually no test for this virus, there is only a test for antibodies presumably created in reaction to it. However, whether those antibodies are the response to the Kung Flu or some other virus, is unknown!
So the whole thing, like all the schemes of the globalist left, is a house of cards propped up by force and money.
Four: we need to ask ourselves, what is the purpose of all this? I suspect there are long-term goals and short-term goals. Long term goals would include population reduction via vaccination (Bill Gates’ specialty); increased authority and power of supranational bodies and concomitant reduction/surrender of national sovereignty; increased state control over the Church; increased consolidation of media monopoly and suppression of truth. Short-term goals would include the destruction of the Trump Presidency and possibly the acquisition of value-crashed assets on the cheap by the ruling elites.
All that said, I do agree with those few Church leaders who have called this a chastisement, since God frequently uses wicked men for that purpose. Kind of difficult to keep that in mind, though, in the face of such insanity.

I read that ridiculous report this morning and my first thought was that the bishops have lost divine wisdom. As I have said before, the bishops in this country are largely worldlings now, shepherds who have become sheep under the secular powers. I am reminded again of G. K. Am with lots of you on here although my take is that this Chinese Disease was Fabricated in a Chinese Laboratory and sent out to Infect The Whole World. That they have done so is without a doubt the Evil Chinese Governments most unprecedented success to date .But for us not to take it as serious as it has been so far is foolish. In Scotland there have been 11 deaths in our NHS which if this wasn’t deadly there would have been none . Do YOU have a teenage relative whose mother was told in February that he MUST have an urgent operation or he risks being disabled as he grows older? With that operation postponed until 1st May due to this nonsense lockdown, and now postponed again – indefinitely? At a children’s hospital? What possible need was there to do that? At the beginning of this lockdown, I watched, with my own eyes, a spokesman for that same hospital interviewed on the local Scottish news, saying that that hospital would not be used for Coronavirus patients, it was business as usual there, to paraphrase. So, what changed? Can’t be the number of patients, unexpectedly growing, because the new temporary hospital built by Nicola Sturgeon was flaunted on another news broadcast with she announcing that, look at this lovely new hospital… We’re hoping we don’t have to use it! Good grief. What the heck is going on (incidentally, I’ve yet to see Nicola – or any other politician – wearing a mask OR gloves, let alone both.)
Lives are being potentially ruined, all because of this virus – which has caused the death of 1,556 people in Scotland to date – NOT exactly a deadly plague. And we don’t have the figures from any other virus with which to compare that number. What’s happened to seasonal flu, as Athanasius queried, or any other virus. Have they all miraculously gone away now, in deference to the latest member of the flu family?
As well as clapping themselves to death (so to speak) to thank the NHS “heroes”, the nation is ALSO celebrating the birth of the Prime Minister’s new baby son so it seems pregnancy isn’t deadly either even during this lockdown. WOW! So, worry not on that score
Indeed, striking fear into the heart of your daughter will do a heck of a lot more harm to her wellbeing than the minimal risk of being infected with this virus. The majority of people recover from it anyway – as the “experts” keep telling us – so I would relax, at least around your daughter not to stress her out. I’m sure we’ll all keep her in our prayers. This being the Month of Mary, I recommend that you trust your daughter and her unborn baby to the loving care of our Heavenly Mother in the full knowledge (which we call “faith”) that she and her little baby will be well.
And please remember, when the time comes, to tell us whether it is a boy, a girl, or… well, you’ll get my drift 😀
I most certainly have not struck Fear into the Heart of my Daughter. She works within the Health and care system and has had to stop work because She is Pregnant. If you had read my request for prayers on May 1, you would know that I have “walked the walk”, as you put it, my young sister, the youngest of five, having gone from perfectly healthy to dead in 4 weeks from Leukemia back in 2000. Death can come suddenly to any of us at any time in a multitude of ways, as it will infallibly do some day.
I will dare call the NHS if I feel sick enough to do because I have contributed to it all my working life, though I doubt I’ll be calling because of the Chinese virus. As an aside, I understand that cancer patients are currently being told not to dare call the NHS at this time, their treatment having been suspended while the hospitals await an onsalught of Covid-19 patients who never arrive. You are aware, I assume, that for the first time in decades the NHS in Britain has 40% of its beds empty? Now isn’t that odd with this plague seemingly killing everyone?
Another fact, if you had been researching properly, as you should, is that the young, including babies in the womb, are relatively unaffected by Covid-19. It is also established that more men catch the virus than women. Looks like you’ve become a bit paranoid, hence the mask and gloves. You need to show more trust in God and leave the panic to the uninformed pagans. God knows there’s enough of them out there.
30,000 deaths in a country of 66 million is hardly the plague upon us. Do you have any idea how low the percentage is of you or a lved one dying from this? Obviously not. Well, it’s below 0.1% chance. In other words, you’re more likely to die in a plane crash.
As for the worrying too much ,not far from me their are 2 Young Children without a Mother ,who was a nurse at our Local Hospital. She died directly from the Chinese Corona Virus. Go and tell them that their Mother WOULD have had only a 0.001% chance of Dying had some Selfish Person who probably coughed on Her had been taking precautions from this Disease and worn a Mask and gloves . Go tell the Family of the American Bus Driver who died after a passenger who was a carrier of the Disease coughed on him while paying his Bus Fare . Of course there are always sad stories of deaths – every year there are such stories due to the seasonal flu (which, as already noted, seems to have gone AWOL) and other causes.
I don’t know where you get this idea that people are going about the place coughing on other people – but let’s assume you’re right. Those are nuts. And the only nuts I like are those which are covered in chocolate.
If you want to wear a mask and gloves, go right ahead. Just don’t expect the rest of us to do the same. I won’t. Definitely not. I was in the position of having to put on gloves in a place of business recently and it was totally crackpot – I struggled to handle the paperwork and the entire transaction took ten times as long as it would have been if everyone had been less paranoid.

As someone else said above, what has happened to the usual seasonal flu virus? Where has that gone? How do we know that the deaths we are told are caused by this latest virus are not caused by the usual flu which does cause deaths every year except we don’t hear about them. They are reported in passing on the news, no big deal. Is nobody dying of anything else, right now? I just don’t believe these reports about the deaths – IMHO, they are classing deaths as Covid 19 when they are no such thing.
I spent half the morning standing in a stupid queue at my local supermarket with the majority obviously unquestioning. Only a couple of people were not as docile.
The so called experts say that masks are of no real use in the mainstream population, yet there were a load of people wearing them and looking suspiciously at the likes of me who will never wear one. I just can’t believe the fear that there is around this, even though the figures given – highly dubious figures – are not reliable at all.
If you watched the Remnant video on another thread, you’ll have heard Michael Matt saying that there have been 50,000 deaths in the USA but the stats for the last recorded period, in 2017, showed 80,000 deaths from the seasonal flu.
You finish by saying nobody should believe the mainstream media but you obviously do or you wouldn’t be so panic stricken. It’s a load of propaganda, that’s all. They are working towards more intense surveillance – that is what this is all about and if you have a population who jumps to obey the Government’s every (illegal) instruction, and say all are to begin wearing face masks, then they can tell at a glance, as someone else said on this blog somewhere, just how docile the population will be when that increased surveillances comes into place.

I completely agree about the clapping – that is a form of controlling. A neighbour of mine asked me why I didn’t go out to join in the clapping on Thursday nights and I said because I thought the NHS staff were paid for what they do. It’s definitely a way of conditioning us, again as somebody else said somewhere on this blog, there is no question in my mind about that. We’re being conditioned to accept the Government’s right to tell us how to live our lives. At one time, you only got on the wrong side of the law by committing a crime, not for going out for two walks in the same day, for goodness sake.

If the medical people didn’t want to be on the front line dealing with disease then they simply shouldn’t have gone into the profession. I really don’t know if these people, like Matt Hancock, are part of the conspiracy, or just a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Some years ago, there used to be a TV comedy show called Hancock’s Half Hour and when I see Matt Hancock walking towards the camera to lead the daily press briefings, I find myself thinking, a bit unkindly (most uncharacteristically!) “Here we go… Hancock’s Half Hour” 😀
I don’t think that there is any reason to prevent the faithful from receiving absolution. With a little ingenuity ways could be found for parishioners to make sterile confessions. The priest could hear confessions over the telephone while the penitent and priest stand either side of the presbytery door, or a window. This way they would be both in proximity to each other and be able to hear each other, so the sacrament would be properly administered.

Sadly, the answer to your question is no, I am not aware of any priests hearing Confessions at this time, not in the privacy we would like anyway, what with this social distancing stuff.
I was made aware of one SSPX priest who was offering Confessions in Glasgow, but it seems only select individuals were being informed of the fact by telephone. Well let me say that I didn’t get a call, so I’m assuming it was selective.

For obvious reasons of privacy telephones can never be used for confessions. I take your point, though about ingenuity, we’re not seeing much of it at the moment. Truth is, the last rites must always be administered to the dying, even if it means a priest could get infected. Any priest who refuses stands a good chance of losing his immortal soul.
You are correct. It had not occurred to me that all our phone calls are collected in mass data storage accessible to organisations and governments. I don’t know then how priests can give confessions. I am sure there is a way to continue confession and adhere to the social distancing rules. In Glasgow Central train station they have a microphone system so that passengers and ticket sellers can hear each other on each side of the glass.
Catholic churches could cover their confessional grilles with impermeable plastic sheets and use duck tape to seal them in. This would sufficiently act as a barrier to pathogens. The penitents could queue for confession by observing social distancing because most churches are large enough and have enough pews for every one to sit at a distance to each other. Confession is a necessity, and there is a way of administering confession in a safe way with low risk of infection if only one has ingenuity. It does surprise me that the hierarchy have not made more of an effort. It seems they are obsessed with their own vulnerability and therefore overly concerned about their safety and overly attached to comfort. Priests sacred of the world around them, cowering in their presbyteries. But I felt this long before the Coronavirus.

I followed the Holy Mass live stream today from the SSPX chapel in Phoenix, Arizona. The celebrant, Fr. John McFarland, gave a great sermon on naturalism, explaining how bishops and priests everywhere have fallen into this error which places the health of the body above the health of the soul. His message to all of them was that they were ordained to save immortal souls, not fixate on bodily health to the extent of subverting the supernatural end to which they are called. It is the business of pagans who have no belief in eternal life to panic over natural fears, not of believers who trust in God.
I believe that part of the problem is that clergy are timid and self-preserving. A priest recently told me that priests feel very vulnerable these days, particularly with all this safeguarding stuff. This irritated me when he said this, because priests aren’t actually that vulnerable… in fact, clergy possess all the power in the Church.
They are priests, they are the shepherds, they are the leaders, they are the ones with the vocation to teach, govern and sanctify us.
My mother said it was announced during Mass at her parish before the lockdown that it was a priority of the Church to protect priests. My mother, who is not yet Catholic, commented on this at the time, but I didn’t really give it much thought. But now I have considered it more I realize what a bunch of namby-pamby wimps we have for priests, at least a lot of them. Very few courageous, self-sacrificing, old fashioned men in the priesthood anymore.

God knows, we are stuck with a cohort of priests in the UK today who fall well short of being edifying at the best of times, so there’s no point in making things worse! Thus, I think a word of caution is timeous.
I would prefer if we stuck to the topic – which is the truth about the (reasons for) the lockdown, and of course it is fair to comment on the disgrace of the church closures. However, it is important not to risk being taken totally off topic by bringing up things from the past.
Apart from anything else, I think it would be best for your own peace of mind just to leave all of that experience in the past. And from what I know of you, personally, I think you will realise the benefit of this “religious distancing” 😀

The only protests I’ve seen covered – minimally – on the TV news were the initial protests in the USA and this on Sky News, where their US reporter, who can’t hide her hatred of Trump, put her own spin on it, insisting that the majority of the population were against the protests. She is a classic useful idiot, though, so any informed news watcher will write that “report” off, as I know I write off most, if not all of her reports. She was on the wrong side during the Judge Kavanaugh “trial” and again on the wrong side during the impeachment harassment, so, to sum up, she’s just plain wrong just about all of the time. I reply a) because in spite of my sins, I trust in God, and I pray for His protection, and b) I, like you, have some grey matter where it matters, and looked at the comments and history of messrs Ferguson, Fauci et al and draw my own conclusions. A beauty was Dr Fauci saying people should make up there own minds re meeting for sex hookups on Tinder and weigh up the risks. Churches must close, but naughtiness with strangers is OK? There have been worse pandemics than this, i.e Spanish Flu (100 million dead globally, 250,000 in UK), Hong Kong Flu (80,000 in UK) and Asian Flu (33,000 in UK).

I really do not know what to think about all this. The truth is that COVID 19 does not behave like an ordinary flu. It is highly unusual for lots of patients to need ventilation, and for some dialysis too. Also there are cases of clots on the lungs and other symptoms more in line with general sepsis. It is not yet fully understood. The death rate so far is not as bad as predicted and the Nightingale hospitals seem like a panic reaction more than a well thought out plan. It was never clear how they thought they would staff them adequately. Someone on here asked why are we quarantining the sick rather than the well? A good question which I would like answered. I do not think it is right to potentially wreck the economy, disrupt education, put lives at risk of domestic violence, exacerbate mental health problems, pause essential surgery in this way all for a disease which for the most part hastens the demise of older folk with co morbidities anyway. And I say that as a person in that category.

Well said. I have just received a text from a friend whose sister-in-law has been in a Home for years now, with her very loving husband seldom away from her side. He has made her room as cosy as possible and virtually lives there with her. She has had Dementia for a long time now, but his devotion to her has never waned. Quite the opposite. He has steadfastly refused to accept that she won’t fully recover, believing, instead, that somehow she will improve; he is devotedly in attendance, every waking hour, and some time ago, my friend, worried about her brother’s health, insisted that she take a turn sitting with his wife. Nevertheless, for most of the time, he would not leave her side.

Her husband is distraught.They can’t even have a funeral now, and my friend (his sister) is very upset because when she goes to see him, she will be kept at the gate. The whole situation is an outrage.
The fact is, there are doctors who have challenged what is going on, but they cannot be heard – Michael Matt (The Remnant) showed a clip from a video of a press conference called by some such doctors, which, despite having 9 million or so viewings, was pulled down for peddling “misinformation”.
The similarities with totalitarian techniques are just too stark to ignore.
I switched off the news earlier because after a couple of “news” items (the latest figures) the smiling presenter announced that she was taking us now to yet more examples of how people are keeping themselves creatively busy, and helping others, during lockdown. And we’re all supposed to be thrilled at this new normality – people forced to think up ways to keep themselves busy as they think up new hobbies. It’s screamingly obvious that we are being treated like schoolchildren, who get a word of praise from teacher (represented by the media) for being good obedient little people. It’s driving me crazy.
Finally, Elizabeth, your question about quarantining the healthy is key. Nobody would have minded necessary measures to deal with this virus if, as you suggest, there is something novel about it, but to lockdown the entire world, with police intervention for people who don’t stick rigidly to the new rules, is nothing short of an outrage.

My brother is a registered nurse who stopped practicing about two years ago. He received a letter saying that he could be called back to nursing service and should therefore complete various forms, etc., which he did. Other nurses he knows also received the same message and requests. Not a single one of them has been called back into service because it’s a scam, they know they don’t have the numbers of sick and dying around the country to justify bringing retired nurses back. This is confirmed by 40% of NHS beds being empty in Britain for the first time in decades.
If you look at how this virus has manifested, it has appeared much worse in hotspots like London and one or two areas of the North East and North West of England, areas with worse pollution and poorer general health. This happens with flu, as with other respiratory illnesses, it’s not unusual.
I was intrigued listening to the frontline doctor in New York at the height of that city’s problem with Covid-19. He was adamant that what the worst cases were suffering from was NOT viral pneumonia, it was a blood/oxygen deficiency the likes of which neither he nor colleagues had seen before. His claim was that people were being put on ventilators as a result of false diagnosis, being treated for ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome) which they didn’t have, hence the pressure on the lungs from ventilators, being set to treat ARDS, was killing them. It is now estimated that up to 90% of COVID patients put on ventilators died as a result. That doctor left his position and went to a different hospital in Brooklyn where he was free to treat patients with manual oxygen.
There are a lot of unknowns going on here, not least infection and death rates which are grossly over stated. If there is a killer strain of flu, and I’m not denying that it may exist to a lesser entent than reported, bearing in mind that it is flu season, then it is certainly not the plague it’s being promoted as to terrorise the population. Rather, it’s a hotspot killer in areas such as I have described.
Another interesting observation is that it’s only the world’s leading economic countries that have been hit hard by Covid-19, and within these the financial capitals, i.e.. London, Milan, Paris, New York, etc. Outside of the major economies this pandemic has hardly figured.
Bottom line is we’re being mislead by scientists, governments and the media!

It’s one thing to read a report on what the doctor says, as Athanasius has posted (for which thank you, Ath!) but quite another to see / hear it directly from him. If bloggers click on YouTube to go through to their platform, you can also read the comments from other medics underneath. All very enlightening.

The majority are just not buying into any questioning of officialdom on this – they apply faith to the Government position as a fully believing Catholic applies faith to religious dogma. So, it is important to get these videos out and about. Indeed, it would be good simply to spread the link to this thread far and wide – that takes care of ALL the challenging information, with the videos being the icing on the cake.

The video of Dr. Kaufman posted by FrancescoMarta is informative on yet another front: I did not know that the CDC is primarily funded by health (??) corporations such as pharmaceutical companies, who have huge profits to gain by promoting a panicked demand for vaccines and tests.
(In fact, I read a few months ago that the transgender phenomenon is also backed by the same types of corporations, since people undergoing this mutilation require large amounts of drugs during the mutilation process.)

Has anyone else noticed how most conservative Catholic social media accounts and traditional Catholic forums have failed to show concern or even offer prayers for the dead from Coronavirus?
Does anyone know why this is? Is it because we don’t believe the numbers being reported?
Editor: firstly, I don’t know of any “conservative Catholic social media accounts” (certainly not in Scotland, so please feel free to point us in that direction), and I’m not sure what you mean by “showing concern” – nor can I guess how on earth you know that people on Catholic social media sites don’t offer prayers for the dead from Coronavirus or anything else. It’s a tad dangerous to give the impression of spiritual superiority – or, really, any kind of superiority. Us humble folk don’t do that 😀
However, for your reassurance, and just in case you are classing Catholic Truth bloggers in the category of those who don’t pray for deceased Coronavirus patients, let me present here the traditional prayer for the repose of the souls of the faithful departed (Protestants and unbelievers don’t believe in prayers for the deceased)…

They might not force the vaccination with the power of law. However, through the issuing of ‘immunity certificates’, the government could put powerful social pressure on people that would essentially force them to take the jab. Imagine if you told you weren’t permitted entry to a public library, or your dentist surgery, or the post office, without first presenting your immunity certificate. People would simply get the vaccine for mere convenience.

I can’t help seeing the potential of mass vaccination for the virus with the Mark of the Beast. People could be stigmatised for refusing, perhaps not allowed out to buy food etc. Paranoid? Me?
I think you have a point. It has been proposed that UK citizens might be issued with an ‘immunity certificate’ which would permit people to return to work and normal activities. If someone has not yet had the virus and refuses the vaccination, they would obviously not qualify for the certificate, and would therefore not be permitted to do certain things.

Thank you for that link. He’s alerted me to the importance of not falling into the trap of acknowledging or saying “stay safe”. All these little innovations serve the same purpose – to condition us, to emphasise that we are in danger etc.
It’s just incredible how quickly and without challenge this entire phenomenon has been effected. Whole populations obedient to States across the world, in the everyday details of our lives.
And now we are being prepared for the longer term, under the guise of a “second wave”.
