The Immorality of “Catastrophic” Lockdown: “Total & Utter Madness” – Peter Hitchens

The Immorality of “Catastrophic” Lockdown: “Total & Utter Madness” – Peter Hitchens

Below, three comments from viewers of the above video on YouTube…

(1)  History will look back on this time with disbelief. The economy will be in tatters for a disease that has been fatal for a tiny number of people but the devastation will affect us all and the debt will take generations to recover from. Beyond a joke for an “illness” that has been treated like Ebola – when it just isn’t!  Hitchens is one of the few people prepared to tell the truth

(2) 10 weeks ago I had a great job and life was good for the first time in a while. Now, my job no longer exists (I worked in the aviation service industry) and I haven’t been paid since March. My company decided not to accept furlough and instead sacked everybody. Didn’t even get to say goodbye. I’m now being told by a bunch of people who are being paid to sit on their backsides doing nothing but stay at home and sit in the sun that I should do the same when realistically I’m going to lose that home anyway now that I don’t have any work. Its total and utter madness.

(3) Peter is so right about getting out of the lockdown. There is a large proportion of the populace which is TERRIFIED of returning to ‘normal’. They do not want to leave their homes. This is why the rest of us have to suffer with this prolonged and unnecessary lockdown. Boris Johnson doesn’t know how to get us out without the furloughed Guardianistas screeching that he is a murderer. It is one big mess.

Do you agree with Peter Hitchen’s assessment of the lockdown? Is there any chance of the Government admitting it got the whole thing wrong?  And what about the three commentators – which, if any of them, makes the single most important point?

Most importantly, in your opinion, what should happen now? Face masks? Vaccine?  Or a return to the “old normal” without delay – to include the immediate re-opening of churches?

As another commentator remarked under the video on the YouTube platform, Peter Hitchens should be saying all of this on the national TV news – such as the BBC. That he is not invited to do so, underlines the fact that the BBC is now, essentially, nothing more than an arm of the State. Ditto the rest of the so-called news broadcasters.

That there is no dissent allowed, no alternative to the lockdown permitted to be discussed, speaks volumes, but only to those who are wide awake to the reality of what is going on around us.

Those who are expressing fears that lockdown is being eased too soon, that they don’t want to go back to work or travel, are clueless as to the reality of the situation, and by the time they wake up, it will be to the “new normal” – i.e. lockdown with a few restrictions lifted… on a temporary basis, you understand and only if there is no second, third, or fourth “wave” of the virus. That is to say – an entirely new way of “normal” life, with no freedom, no civil liberties worth speaking about, and with a neighbour on hand to report us to the police if we complain.

Yes, welcome to the “new normal”…

I have become a great fan of Peter Hitchens since lockdown began. He’s the only person in the media speaking out against it.

I think # 3 commentator is the single most important one – Boris really does want to get out of this mess, IMHO, but just doesn’t know how to. I think getting rid of his expert (so called) advisers is a first step. I don’t think the same about Nicola Sturgeon though – I think she’s loving this, and won’t give us back our civil liberties without a fight. The fact that she’s extended shielding until 31 July even though there have been no new reported deaths for two days, says it all.

About what’s next – definitely no to Masks and Vaccines and yes to back to normal, without any delay. That’s what I would like to see, but I’m apprehensive because I truly believe that Nicola Sturgeon has a tyrannical streak in her and won’t let us return to normal without a fight.

No, the government will never admit it got the whole thing wrong, unless by some miracle a revolution hits the streets – and I don’t mean a Black Lives Matter protest!

As to what happens next, I think we need to redouble our Rosaries and Holy Face prayers, including for the healing of media and government-induced fear regarding being infected by the Virus from Outer Space. Naturally speaking, we are at a disadvantage because the lockdown prevents us from visiting our neighbors to spread information – though you would think that those living in fear would be able to do some basic research on their computers.

Supernaturally speaking….pray that the bishops surround themselves with advisors who speak the truth, rather than who mouth government/media lies. I suspect a large part of the closed church problem is that the bishops are relying on the wrong people to make decisions. And also, failing to rely on Heaven, into the bargain.

Regarding that last failure, they’ve had lots of practice since Vatican II…

It`s a pity the majority of the clergy no longer believe in the power of prayer. They`re more interested in suggesting you go to the local Kirk of Scotland to hand in your food parcels.

Even if they told every believing Catholic (if there are (m)any left, that is) to say two hail marys when washing their hands, instead of I belong to Glasgow, it could go a little way in ending their pandemic.

I do know of one Novus Ordo Catholic parish in my diocese which has remained partly opened during the lockdown, for the purpose of continuing the running of its food bank. Fortunately, some Catholic ministries are still operational. It would be appalling if the Catholic Church stopped all of its charitible works and Protestant chapels continued theirs.

    N O T I C E . . .

For personal and technical reasons, I will be away from my computer now until sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Just a reminder that sometimes (too often, unfortunately), posts go into moderation for no apparent reason – happened again this morning to Athanasius, so if this happens to you please accept my apologies in advance and be assured that you will be released from that particular (WordPress) lockdown as soon as I am back online tomorrow.

To minimise the danger of this happening, may I suggest that you avoid submitting lengthy comments. Instead, just space them out – write comments in parts, mark them as such (part 1 / 2 etc) and I will put them together in your original comment on my return. Also avoid placing links, if possible, and if you need to post a link, make sure you don’t post a string of them. More than a couple is likely to trigger “lockdown”! Bye, for now, then, and …until my return, behave – the lot of you!

Of your charity, in the meantime, please keep a very special intention of mine in your prayers.

    Thank you…

All the commentators seem to believe that Boris received bad advice under difficult circumstances and then made wrong decisions. Dr Vernon Coleman on the other hand, on another video clip downloaded by commentator “Therese” on CTS, alludes to the idea that this was a plan in hand. Peter Hitchin does acknowledge that he thinks the government has seized the opportunity to make the UK a more regimented Police sate and expanded its powers.

One commentator above (forget which one) made an important point that those most vulnerable to the Flu (or bad virus), people in care homes, the chronic sick need better protection. I’m not sure this has ever been done and I wonder why? Have all governments seen this as ‘Euthanasia on the quiet?” When my mother had Alzheimer’s I never had restrictions visiting her during the Flu season and many died as they do.

Anyway I hope we return to the “old normal” without delay – to include the immediate re-opening of Churches. However I refer to Dr Vernon Coleman again who says that the Government is now using the army against the British people to monitor dissent. He also informs us that the Government is bringing in draconian laws to tighten its grip. In case anyone missed commentator “Therese’s” download on CTS, I have reattached again below. After I watched it I sent it to everyone I know.

Dr Coleman refers to Boris as “Comrade Boris” (is Dr Coleman hinting that it’s a Communist form of takeover?) He reveals that the army is involved in cyber spying on its own people. Dr Coleman also drops a name in the video clip (as a side issue about being rich, no more than this). The name of this person happens to be “Bill Gates.” Is he trying to tell us who he thinks is behind what is going on? All very interesting as he has a lot of contacts in the media and medical field.

I’ve said for years that if you put to one side the financial, NHS, trade, etc. policies of all the major political parties in the UK, concentrating solely on their moral positions, which are identical, i.e., abortion, “gay marriage” sex education, etc., it is clear that they are alll cultural Marxist parties. Hence, it seems quite likely to me that Boris is part of a greater conspiracy to impose totalitarian Communism on the country. He was nowhere to be seen during lockdown and he is nowhere to be seen now that the Marxist anarchists have taken to the streets in violent subversion of the nation. It is one massive Masonic/Communist New World Order plan and its moving fast towards its goal. Soros, Gates and others are fully involved behind the scenes and they own the media.

I agree with everything you said. This imposition of a totalitarian Communist takeover, is the ‘Third Secret Of Fatima,’ kicking off, I’m convinced of it.

At least we know that eventually we will be on the winning side, Our Lady promised us that. They may appear to be winning the battle at the moment, but they have already lost the war!

        Never a truer word!

I agree that this definitely looks like a rapid advance of evil that relates directly to the Third Secret of Fatima, and, as Archbishop Vigano pointed out, they have now ripped off the mask of feigned humanity and are showing themsleves and their Luciferian plan clearly in the open.

But just when they think they have the victory, Our Lady will snatch it from them. We have Our Lord’s promise that the Gates of Hell (including Bill Gates) will not prevail, and we have Our Lady’s promise that in the end her Immaculate Heart will triumph. This is our great hope amidst the present turmoil.

I was frightened in March because I thought that older relatives might die, or become seriously unwell, and end up in hospital alone, or worse, a care home.

Others remain fearful on account of the news and propaganda that has saturated the culture. So fearful in fact, that were the government to end social distancing entirely, and force everyone back to normal life, many citizens, if not the majority, would resist. We have already seen this with the teachers. Children’s lives are being put on hold, with dire consequences for their social, psychological, and educational development. And their teachers don’t seem to care.

Last night I went for a run outside, about half past midnight. There were two adolescent boys in my stairwell smoking herbal cannabis… on what would have been a school night. Two children, abandoned by society.

      RCA Victor,

And so does Tucker Carlson who is rightly outspoken about this mob known as “Black Lives Matter”. As I have said many times here and everywhere else, I do not understand at all, how anyone can be “racist” – hating someone based on the colour of their skin. However, the yobs destroying everything in sight – and stealing from black businesses as well as other businesses – don’t really give a toss about the issue; they’re simply vandals doing what vandals do – whatever their colour.

Just how much madness will we tolerate?

    June 9, 2020 at 8:56 pm
    • Fidelis

“Getting rid of NHS dentistry part of the deliberately planned reset of our society”?
Goodness- and even private dentistry? One patient an hour? For goodness sake!

All the rest, too, is complete madness. What a stupid list of rules. You start off with toothache and end up needing mental health treatment.

At the end of that video I was in complete agreement with Coleman’s statement at the beginning about getting rid of dentistry being part of the deliberately planned reset of our society.

Very good point about the reason for face masks, which look ridiculous on people walking down the street, at the best of times, but which will definitely be useful for when we are toothless !

This really is madness, and the future is obvioiusly not going to be anything like “normal”.

        Fidelis (Therese)

That really IS madness – it will never work. It’ll all just fall by the wayside, as staff (and patients) get fed up with the nonsense of it all.

This really bothers me because I am obsessive about my teeth… I attend my check-up every six months, I brush, floss, use interdental brushes, mouthwash, and attend the hygenist regularly. But this is normal in most developed countries with a decent healthcare system. And in America they are even more fastidious about dental hygiene than I am. It’s considered normal there. Why are unhealthy teeth encouraged in this country? Other countries laugh at us, such as the Americans, and even the Mexicans, who call us dientes Ingles. It’s embarrassing.

So we have prioritised respiratory health over dental health, even though dental health has a significant impact on general health outcomes? Gum disease correlates with heart disease, and most oral cancers are first spotted by dentists.

I feel so bad for children. They are going to grow up with rotting and missing teeth and regressed social skills, and many will be innumerate and illiterate.

Don’t floss, it loosens the teeth! Brushing regular is quite sufficient.

        Miles Immaculatae,

Don’t worry about any of this – I have been a regular at the Dentist’s since a child. It’s always been one of the first things I’ve organised when moving to a new home; signing up for a Dentist. I’m sure this is one of those ridiculous “new normal” things that will not last.

There are already concerns being expressed by those “in-the-know” that there will soon be riots / disturbances on the streets of the UK, as people are increasingly fed up with the whole lockdown nonsense.

So, worry not – something will have to give, soon…

Keep smiling (after you’ve brushed your teeth, of course !) 😀

Over and over again we see the madness – in America two black pro-lifers were arrested in New York for paying outside an abortion facility, while the looters and rioters were allowed to run free

This whole situation is completely Satanic.

    June 10, 2020 at 11:30 am
    • Athanasius

But then you have to remember that New York is the only city in the entire US to have a huge temple dedicated to Satan and a Governor, Andrew Cuomo, who has apostatised from the Catholic faith (though not by declaration) and favours killing babies that are born despite attempts to abort them. Yes, he thinks it’s ok to kill them even after they are born. With official evil like that running New York a couple of pro-lifers have no chance!

Here’s a protest about a suspected paedophile living in a Glasgow flat… crowd of people gather, crowd of police gather, and not a mention of social distancing ! It would be hilarious if not so ridiculous.

In Australia there have been discussions about the ending of lockdown. Some doctors are saying it was never necessary in the first place. I thought this was interesting.

Laura – many thanks for posting that video clip from Australia. Brilliant.

As is this Tucker Carlson commentary, which I’ve just posted on the Bill Gates thread. Still, as repetition is the mother of education, I think it’s worth posting here as well. I’m sure Australia won’t mind a little competition from America – they’re certainly not getting any competition from the UK or any of its constituent parts; nobody, but nobody is challenging the lockdown here. Incrediblt.

Just come across an article by Peter Hitchens (annoyingly, it’s not possible to comment except via Facebook, Twitter etc); it included this jewel…

“But, most striking of all is Japan, which last week ended a less than half-hearted ‘state of emergency’, roughly as mild as Sweden’s policy.

Yet this highly urbanised, crowded nation with a population of 126 million and several enormous cities, has recorded fewer than 1,000 Covid-19 deaths.

All kinds of explanations have been offered for this happy outcome, and you may make of them what you will. But a tight shutdown cannot possibly be one of them.”

Hopefully, more and more “dissidents” will show their faces, or their keyboards, now that it must be obvious to any thinking person that we’ve been made fools of, or, perhaps more grammatically, of fools we have been made !

Yet more evidence that Covid-19 and the lockdown are part of a massive global experiment in social engineering, a con on humanity.

I started a new Rosary intention a couple of days ago:

For Our Lady to bless, amplify, protect and strengthen the voices of truth.

      Anyone care to join me?

        RCA Victor,

Adding that to my intentions – which are already almost as lengthy as the rosary itself 😀

      • RCAVictor

I know what you mean. In fact, I’ve taken to saying 2 Rosaries a day: one for my complete list of intentions, and the second one for my short list of emergency situations. The short list is:

-For the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Pope in union with all the Bishops.
-The above voices of truth intention
-For Our Lady of Fatima to crush the attack of the New World Order against the USA, by the instruments of Our Lord’s Holy Passion and Death
-A personal intention for a parishioner who is gravely ill

If I have to go to 3 a day, I’m gonna need some extra zeroes on my paycheck…

        June 13, 2020 at 3:32 pm
      • Athanasius

Sounds like you need a bigger rosary more than a bigger paycheck! I can’t commit to extra rosaries other than those I already offer but I can say I’ll join in the intention.
