Francis: Worst Pope in History, Bar None!

Francis: Worst Pope in History, Bar None!

.-

In a documentary that premiered Wednesday in Rome, Pope Francis called for the passage of civil union laws for same-sex couples, departing from the position of the Vatican’s doctrinal office and the pope’s predecessors on the issue.

The remarks came amid a portion of the documentary that reflected on pastoral care for those who identify as LGBT.

“Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family. They’re children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out, or be made miserable because of it,” Pope Francis said in the film, of his approach to pastoral care.

After those remarks, and in comments likely to spark controversy among Catholics, Pope Francis weighed in directly on the issue of civil unions for same-sex couples.

“What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered,” the pope said. “I stood up for that.”     To read entire report, click here

Comment:

I cannot think of a single thing to say about this pontiff that would be legal.  Surely there are members of the hierarchy, somewhere, some cardinal on the loose, who realises something has GOT to be done about Francis? And do you agree that he is the worst ever pope in the history of the Church?

The Italian press, as often is the case, distorted his comments to make it look as if Francesco endorses the currently legal “civil union” laws. This is not the case.

This article quotes verbatim his words: https://www.romereports.com/en/2020/10/21/pope-francis-says-same-sex-couples-have-a-right-to-be-legally-covered/

““Homosexual people have a right to be in a family. They are children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out or be made miserable over it. What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered.””

Pope Francis points out that he had addressed this matter in the past. He is referring to his years as the archbishop of Buenos Aires, when he opposed the approval of a law allowing for same-sex marriage. He did however support extending legal protection of same-sex couples’ rights in different matters, which could include inheritances and accessibility to medical care.

He should have clarified it better (as usual), but the crux of the matter is not the existence of not of civil unions – I don’t think it is unreasonable nor contrary to Catholic doctrine to have a social contract alternative to marriage; the devil, as usual, is in the details, from the benefits this awards and their justification. Because of course there is no logical reason for the State to provide additional rights that other citizens do not enjoy merely on grounds of “mutual affection” or “love”.

The rational justification of the benefits of natural marriage has always been in the possibility to contribute to society with their offspring, which homosexual people are unable to.

      Emmanuele,

Surely it is illogical to denounce something as evil – “one of the four sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance” – and then to say that, nevertheless, it is moral to make provision for it in society. ANY kind of provision.

We don’t do that for any other evil… do we?

Pope Francis obviously hasn’t read the 2003 CDF document CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING PROPOSALS TO GIVE LEGAL RECOGNITION TO UNIONS BETWEEN HOMOSEXUAL PERSONS. http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20030731_homosexual-unions_en.html which states “In those situations where homosexual unions have been legally recognized or have been given the legal status and rights belonging to marriage, clear and emphatic opposition is a duty. One must refrain from any kind of formal cooperation in the enactment or application of such gravely unjust laws and, as far as possible, from material cooperation on the level of their application . . . .”

Yes, and look at the wording – no ambiguity there: “clear and emphatic opposition is a DUTY” A duty, not an option.

The only reason Francis is being misquoted is because he is being deliberately ambiguous in his statements knowing, or at least hoping, that the worst interpretation is given them.

This man has done nothing but chip away at the moral teaching of the Church since he was elected Pope in 2013 – from his “who am I to judge” declaration to receiving homosexual couples in the Vatican, to sending blessings and wishes for divine grace in abundance to a homosexual couple who had their 3 adopted children baptised in a Brazilian Cathedral.

In addition to this we know he will not speak out against the demonic evil of abortion, constantly bashing Donald Trump instead of the apostate pro-abortion, pro-homosexual Joe Biden. He’s a disgrace to the Church and I think any Catholic with an IQ marginally higher than a house plant knows what he’s attempting to do with the Church’s moral teaching, even if he is doing it deceitfully.

Here’s what St. Paul says in the matter of homosexuality:

“…For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error…” (Romans I: 26-28)

Compare those words with Francis’ “who am I to judge” and it is perfectly evident that this man has lost the supernatural Catholic faith. You know what Our Lord commanded: “let your yes be yes and your no, no, anything else is of the evil one”. What Our Saviour was saying was ‘don’t be ambiguous with the truth’. Francis has based his entire Pontificate on ambiguity and is known for his detestation of Traditional Church teaching and practice, which is why he wrote three enormously long Encyclicals that read like a Communist/Freemasonic manifesto and never once refer to pre-Vatican II teaching. So please, do not try to defend the indefensible!

I’ll leave it to the Church, the competent authority in such matters, to investigate and declare on this Pontificate at some later date when sanity is restored, In the meantime I must recognise him as Pope and restrict myself to condemning his heterodoxy. God doesn’t permit me to go beyond that as a subordinate.

But the line must be drawn. I find that the biggest problem with any organization is charming leaders who can persuade the people. They do a good job that people disregard their blatant wrongdoing. And I blame myself for being duped. If Catholics want the laity to spread the word, the flip coin to that is we will be outspoken. Right now that’s what I am spreading about this Pope–the details and truth of what he is doing. P.S. Pope Francis aka Mr. Social Justice is just in a long line of bad popes whose behaviour perpetuate the status quo. I just read that he is raising cardinals that are modernists and progressives to stack the conclave so that they will vote like minded popes. And I thought these kind of games only happen in politics. Also Pope Francis got there because other popes played the same game. God knows how long this has been happening. Yet we are blind because of the outside facade these charming and eloquent leaders portray. I am not naming popes. But a long line extends a lot.

        Congrats Clew, (I won’t ask…)

We hear a lot about the bad popes of the past, which you describe as “a long line” – let’s not forget the great pope-saints who have edified both the peoples of their own times, and ours. I’ll never forget reading the Life of the great 20th century saint Pope Saint Pius X. Having been brought up in poverty himself, he was known for his practical help to the poor, and his love for both his priests and people is edifying to read. So, don’t fall into the trap of thinking that our times are typical. Thankfully, they are not.

We have the misfortune to live at a time of almost unprecedented scandals caused by immoral priests and bishops, so it is important that we don’t forget that this exceptional period of horrendous scandal and suffering was foretold; God did not leave us unprepared. Not only did He send His mother to Quito in Ecuador some 400 years ago to seek a “victim soul” who would suffer for the Church in the 20th century because it would go into massive crisis, but He sent her again, this time to Fatima in Portugal in 1917, to prepare us for what was to come. Here are link to sites reporting both hugely important prophecies – Quito (Our Lady of Good Success) and Fatima (Our Lady of Fatima)
        http://olrl.org/prophecy/goodsuccess.shtml
        http://www.fatima.org

I have to express surprise, though, at your description of Francis as “charming and eloquent”. Frankly, and I really hate to be unkind, being no dazzling beauty or Personality of the Year myself, but Francis is, in my humble opinion, a rather unattractive man, unhappy looking and very gauche. Someone asked me if I’d seen a clip where he was filmed falling over. My only surprise is that he doesn’t fall over more often – he just never looks comfortable, in my (again very humble) opinion 😀 Indeed, as I’ve been heard opining when the subject arises, although his immediate predecessors were also modernists, they at least looked the part. Not so, Francis.

Given that I don’t speak Spanish, however, I can’t really comment on his “eloquence”. He’s certainly not short of words, judging by his recent newest encyclical which is longer than both the Book of Genesis and the Gospel of John. Priceless!

It’s barely credible that this man sits on the Chair of St. Peter, the first Pope in history to publicly undermine the divine and natural moral laws.

Note how he always speaks of homosexuals being children of God entitled to a family, not to be thrown out, etc., yet never clarifies whether he’s talking about those with homosexual inclinations who live celibate lives or active homosexuals. We have massive clues as to where he’s coming from though in further statements about civil union laws to protect same-sex couples. That’s the big give away, as is this:

I assume most bloggers will be aware of Archbishop Vigano’s response to the Pope’s statement:

    https://www.lifesitenews.com/opinion/archbishop-vigano-responds-to-new-film-in-which-pope-endorses-homosexual-civil-unions?utm_source=featured&utm_campaign=standard

This paragraph jumped out at me and made me realise that perhaps we should be careful in our reaction to said statement:

“Jorge Mario Bergoglio is trying to force some Cardinals and Bishops to separate themselves from communion with him, obtaining as a result not his own deposition for heresy but rather the expulsion of Catholics who want to remain faithful to the perennial Magisterium of the Church. This trap would have the purpose – in the presumed intentions of Bergoglio and his “magic circle” – of consolidating his own power within a church that would only nominally be “Catholic” but in reality would be heretical and schismatic.”

      Helen,

      “Careful” – how?

We have a duty to resist the errors of this horrendous pope. What do you mean (or what does Archbishop Vigano mean), by being “careful”? Keep quiet? Answer: nope.

I think what +Vigano is saying is to be wise as serpents and guileless as doves. IOW, resist the temptation to declare PF as a heretic because then the msm will garner sympathy for him (e.g. oh poor Pope Francis!) while painting faithful Catholics as disobedient etc. And as +Vigano said he can consolidate his power that way.

Honest question: Is it a sin to pray for the death of the Pope? TBH, I fear for his eternal salvation. All of us have to appear before the judgement seat of Christ but the Pope will have a LOT to answer for because by his office he is for lack of a better term entrusted with the whole world. He has 7+ billion souls to answer for whether he likes it or not.

Margaret I also thought of this first and foremost of this Man but someone first of all has to have a Conscience and a Catholic Conscience at that to ( in my view) really fear judgement day . I am as most ordinary Catholics a Sinner but what sets us apart from Francis it seems is that we do know that we Sin ,and also we do not shout from the Rooftops about a Sin that even the Demonic Angels turned their faces from is now Okay Dokey . Also does he not know that these Homosexual Families are created in Laboratories at worst and are Surrogates at best which leads to Murder . When Our Lord Jesus Christ cried out from the Cross ” Forgive Them Father For They Know Not What They Do ” he was of course correct. The main thing about Francis is –He Does Know What He Does –Also and I really now have to get this off my chest . If it Walks Like a Duck 🦆 and Talks Like a Duck 🦆 It is Probably a Duck . Is He the worst Pope in History certainly in my mind. And now that he is on a real role ( in other words he used to at least try to act like a Catholic and not the Out and Out Marxist that he is ) there will be without a shadow of a doubt worse to come from this Man.

To answer your question first: Yes, it would be wrong to pray for the Pope’s death when our duty, no matter how bad he is, is to pray for his conversion and salvation. Our Lady of Fatima said we were to pray hard for the Holy Father – now we know why she said this. And God knows, if Francis were to die now, unrepentant for the great evils of his Pontificate, then he would certainly go straight to Hell. We don’t want this to happen to any soul, much less the soul of a Pope.

As regards being diplomatic in order to avois falling into the Pope’s trap, I completely disagree with that approach. There are times in the lives of every Catholic when they are called upon to speak plainly and truthfully – this is one such time. The reason why the bad spirit of Vatican II has been allowed to continue so long to destroy the Catholic religion from within is precisely because those who see what’s happening keep silent for reasons of mistaken diplomacy. Our Lord was crucified for speaking the truth and we must be willing to imitate Him regardless of false jusdgements and punishments for our fidelity. I disagree with Archbishop Vigano on this very, very important point. We now need as many prelates and priests as possible in the Church to speak out about this outrage. Diplomacy has its place and it usually involves compromise, hence we cannot be diplomatic when the very faith and morals of the Church are at stake.

Good man that he is Archbishop Vigano still has a little of a hangover from years of drinking in Vatican II poison, a poison goes down easier when softened by diplomacy. But there are times when diplomacy is inappropriate, when truth needs to be spoken in the cold light of day without dissimulation. This is one of those times. We have all had enough of 60 years of Conciliar diplomats in the hierarchy, now is the time for emulating St. Paul’s confrontation of St. Peter, which, as we read in Acts, is the only way to win back our erring brethren. Time for unadulterated truth, no more diplomacy.

Francis is undoubtedly the worst Pope in history, all the more so given his actions are very much intentional and calculated. This is wickedness, not incompetence or error. He very clearly hates the Catholic faith and those who attempt to live by it.

I have read before that even Popes who were corrupt or who had ‘colourful’ private lives still had a semblance of worth in that they still conducted their official duties in a reasonable way. Not so Francis.

This – and the predictable silence of the Bishops – makes fools of us all.

What must people like Joseph Sciambra think, those who bravely try to live by Church teaching while experiencing same sex attractions? What a slap in the face to them, has their effort, courage and even suffering been for nothing?

My wife has a homosexual relative who is getting “married” and it was taken as read by my non-Catholic in-laws that I would obviously not allow my small children to be taken to the ceremony.

This was not to cause offence to anyone, but because: how could you ever then credibly present kids with God’s creation and the teachings of his Church, if you had already taken them to a celebration of the antithesis of Gods creation? (If you wanted to warn kids about hard drugs, you wouldn’t take them to a crack house).

People accepted this (quietly, if not happily behind the scenes) as they respected my faith. Now Francis has overturned all that and people will be less understanding. They will think “Look the Pope says its OK, so this guy must just be some base bigot”.

This, and the usual tumble-weed response from the men who are supposed to be looking out for us, is a reminder of how the mainstream Church and the ‘faith’ it broadcasts is a protestant denomination in all but name – a cuckoos egg in the Vatican nest.

I really am very tired of the Church at times, and – I will say again – were it not for my discovery of tradition in 2012, I daresay I would have jacked it all in (again). Even still, in the 13 years since I returned to the faith, I would have to say the mainstream Church’s main contributions to my life have been stress, worry, anger, embarrassment and revulsion. Things I could really do without. Thank God for the SSPX and other outposts of tradition.

If there is no one with the authority or means in the Church to remove, imprison, incapacitate, whatever Bergoglio, then, please God, may he soon go to his reward.

Here is Archbishop Vigano on this latest outrage, he thinks Francis is trying to provoke a schism:

I agree with everything you say and share the same feelings of anger, stress, revulsion, etc. You also raise a valid point in that Catholics whose non-Catholic family members have thus far accepted their conscience stance against things like “gay marriage” are now more likely to be hostile, thinking that the Pope’s words equal a free pass to the faithful to trample the divine and moral law. It’s really sick and sickening.

Sir your post was in all Honesty The Truth The Whole Truth and Nothing but The Truth. Within the so called outer limits of my Family there are Homosexuals Living together and I will Never Mix with them . As like you it is not because of Hate it is because it is wrong and it would be Total Hypocrisy of me to admit it . Also if God Forbid my Grandchildren were involved in this Lifestyle my attitude would be the same ( I have already told this to my Daughter) that the Homosexual Lifestyle is not just abhorrent to people of any religion but obviously as we know it is against nature itself. Francis most certainly knows it is also against Nature and so does the likes of Jimmy Martin. I know not much of Francis past concerning Homosexuality but Martin has seen first hand the devastation of AIDS which was a Homosexual Plauge and although the Great and Famous say their is a cure for AIDS that is a Lie it is a Lifelong Disease only made liveable because of very expensive drugs. As I said before one does not have to religious or even The Pope to realise that the Homosexual Lifestyle is not just against Gods Laws but against Nature itself.
As For Francis Promoting it Well it really now just shows him up ( as far as I can see ) for what he always has always wanted to say and we await with baited breath on his next words especially on the Sin ( although he doesn’t seem to see it as Sin ) of Homosexuality.

      Gabriel Syme,

Your first paragraph sums up this crisis very well: this is a deliberate attack against the Faith by a Pope who hates it; a deliberate attack against the Church by a Pope who hates it; a deliberate attack against the Papacy by a Pope who hates it.

One of our priests said somewhat the same thing to me, about a month ago in Confession, that Abp. Vigano says in his new communication. My confession was that I have nothing but contempt for this Pope and I think he is a wicked man who loves nothing but power and money. Not only that, I can’t even look at his picture without feeling revulsion. He is the Catacombs Pact, Alta Vendita and Vatican II all rolled into one monstrosity.

Father’s reply was that Francis is doing what he does on purpose, to provoke us to hate the Papacy. And therein lies the crux of my problem, which we have actually discussed before here:

How do you reject Francis’ heretical words and behavior, yet still respect and honor the office he holds, the Papacy? I don’t know how to make the separation. Even knowing that this is the Passion of the Church, and that Francis is Judas, I still can’t do it.

        RCA Victor,

To use an analogy away from the papacy, your comment brought to my mind immediately the case of the murderous Dr Shipman – an English GP who murdered at least 200 patients.

What if we’d all reacted wholly negatively to the medical profession as a result – and Shipman, remember, is not an isolated case; there is an entire school of thought working on why so many nurses and doctors have had – or, shiver, currently have -murderous intent against patients.

Horrified as we all were at the news of Shipman’s crimes, I don’t recall anyone saying that this had thus undermined faith in the medical profession, that we’d better not attend any doctor’s surgery again.

I know it’s not the best analogy but it’s the best I can do when coffee break beckons!

Remember, the papacy has ruled the Church for 2000 years and although we’ve had bad popes, none of them – including Francis – has ever imposed any heresy as part of the deposit of Faith which must be believed with divine and Catholic Faith. He’s come close and he is a champion at misleading, but that’s not the same. And what we see in that truth, is the fulfilment of Christ’s promise to be with His Church always, to the end of time. We need to exercise more faith than ever at this time – which is what, I hope and pray, your confessor told you.

We live in an age of instant communication across the world and we are, therefore, forced to watch, almost as it happens, each scandal perpetrated by this dreadful pontiff.

However, God knew this was coming, which is why He sent Our Lady to warn us well ahead of time. He will NEVER interfere with our free will. Popes, one after another, all celebrated as great popes, ignored the instruction to consecrate Russia and thus we are here.

Don’t blame the office of papacy for the evil behaviour of some bad popes, any more than you would blame the medical profession for the evil behaviour of some doctors.

Given that I’ve stolen time from working on the November newsletter, do I get any brownie points or even a Trumpian thumbs up…

Francis comments are directly the opposite of what the Holy Spirit teaches us in Genesis 19.

I shall follow the teaching of the Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity, not that some infidel pope, who I do not believe is infact Pope.

Since the resignation, forced upon Benedict XVI, as history in the coming 1-2 decades will clearly show, the Catholic Church has entered the second “Arian Crisis” in its history. We have one Pope and one cheat who is working with the forces of evil against the Body of Christ on earth, our Catholic Church.

As Gabriel Syme said beautifully simply above, we need to fervently pray :-

“Lord God, if there is no one with the authority or means in the Church to remove, imprison, incapacitate, Bergoglio, then, please, may he soon go to his reward.”

      Our Lady of Guadalupe

As much as I share your justified anger at this heterodox Pope, he is, whether we like it or not, Pope.

It is very evident from his abdication speech that Benedict XVI abdicated of his own free will – he stated as much and he has happily resided in the Vatican ever since under the ridiculous title “Pope Emeritus”.

While I readily admit that Benedict was a far better Pope than this present incumbent, we should never lose sight of the fact that Pope Ratzinger is himself a Modernist, one of the most influencial in the conciliar revolution in fact. No, the entire hierarchy and Church accepted the Papacy of Francis and that makes it binding. Benedict never uttered a word supportive of the conspiracy idea that he was forced out. Even if he had stepped down because of pressure on him his abdication would be even more of a disgrace given that he alone opened the Church up to this man Francis. Sorry, I’ll never buy into that “Benedict was forced out for false Pope”, that’s sedevacantism and it’s as destructive of the Church as Protestantism.

Francis is a bad Pope, the worst in history, possibly even a man of lost faith, certainly a scandal to the faithful and a destroyer of Catholic moral teaching. But he is the Pope and we cannot lose sight of the fact or we will lose our way as Catholics and quite possibly our souls in eternity.

I admit it’s hard, but it is essential!

        Athanasius,

Well said. I have just replied to an email from a (rightly) furious layman, seeking an end to this pontificate (and which Catholic, in their right mind, doesn’t await it eagerly) but as I pointed out, if it were permitted for the laity to depose a pope, I, for one, would have seen off JP II and Benedict, both modernists. A key difference being that Francis is, as Bishop Fellay pointed out at the start of his pontificate, “an outright modernist.” And it’s gone downhill from there.

In God’s own time, this will be put right and although I know it is wearing to keep repeating it, that is one reason why we ought to keep praying hard for the consecration of Russia – an intention which should be in our every rosary because, as Father Gruner would often repeat “Only she can help us now”. God has chosen to make Our Lady of Fatima the way out of this crisis.

Yes, I can well understand the emotional outbursts of Catholics who love the Church and the faith seeing them dragged into the mire by this Pope. However, I agree with you entirely that it is not for us (subordinates) to depose Popes. We must content ourselves with respectful rebuke and refusal to obey, solid in the knowledge of Church teaching, and let a future Pope and Council decide of Francis’s Pontificate. Something wasn’t right about his election but it’s not for us to determine what mechanisms were triggered during the conclave. All I can say is God help him if he dies without repenting the evils he has inflicted upon the Mystical Body by his heterodoxy, for as things stand he’s hell bound.

        Yes Athanasius, Editor,
I accept that Benedict (and JP II and others prior) were modernists.

As you said Benedict said in his Abdication speach did so of his own free will.
From his speach that is “clear”. I strongly believe history will show otherwise in coming decades. And that this Abdication speach was “handed to him to read”. Evidence from Taylor Marshall’s “Infiltration” and other discussions about those in Vatican over recent years, I believe justifies such a conclusion.

This is the reasoning why I believe the Church has entered another Arian Crisis.

I believe Benedict was “pushed”. Had he not been pushed he would be still be the leader of the Catholic Church, our Pope. There would have been no “election” another procedure I have to question the authenticity of, as there should be no canvassing during this election and there is substantial evidence that there was canvassing. Both of these points lead me to believe Francis is an infidel; Benedict is the True and only Pope.

History will duely show whether I am misguided or not!

        Our Lady of Guadalupe

All I can say in response is that even if Benedict was forced to abdicate, his abdication through cowardice will cut no ice with Almighty God. On the contrary, he will go down in Church history as a Pope whose cowardice opened the Church up to the most destructive elements. His duty was to die to protect the faith, if necessary, not run from the wolves giving them full control over the sheep. If that’s what he did then God have mercy on his soul. I would rather believe what seems to be obvious, i.e., he didn’t want the general pressure that comes with the exaulted office of the Papacy and so opted for the easy life. That’s bad enough without thinking that he actually knew of, and colluded in, a plot by Our Lord’s enemies to seize the Chair of Peter for evil ends.

      • Our Lady of Guadalupe

I should have also added Why did Benedict resign? At time was in decent health both of mind and body. Reasons that are given in “handed to read Abdiction speach” do not satisfy me about why he Abdicated. Time/history will tell.

        Our Lady of Guadalupe,

Have you read Lord of the Rings? I would liken Benedict to Denethor, the Steward of Gondor, who was so intimidated and overwhelmed by the power of the forces of evil that he became unable to respond effectively, and eventually committed suicide.

As or Benedict, while I don’t think his resignation could be called an act of spiritual suicide, I do think that he left the Church, humanly speaking, defenseless against the wickedness at the gates.

This man has proven to be so diabolical, evil, unspiritual; I am beyond words to describe the hennas sham he has foisted on Catholics. Satan truly has taken the chair of Peter! I think it would be a waste of everyone’s time to re-hash all the many heresies this man has foisted on the Catholic people. Therefore, let me simply refute him with Holy Scripture, just as Christ did when temped by the devil.
“ 32Who, having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death; and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them. “(Romans1:32)

I can well understand your outrage, I think all Catholics with a sense of the faith and love for the Church feel the same way. I still remember his including a Muslim woman in the washing of the feet on Maunday Thursday and other such heresies. It is utterly outrageous behaviour for a Pope and we must, as you rightly say, challenge and refute his errors using holy scripture and the past infallible teaching of the Church. The only caution is that we must also avoid at all costs any declarations regarding the Francis papacy – that’s for the Church to investigate and decide on at a later time. We may have our suspicions but we need the Church to make the declaration. In the meantime, hard as it is, we have to pray for this Pope because unless he repents of the great evils he is guilty of his soul is destined for eternal perdition.

I have only had a brief look, but some of the reaction is better than the usual deafening silence.

The Archdiocese of New York has published a blog post about ‘Papal mistakes’ and calls Francis’s comments “a serious mistake”.

They are keen to stress this is a blog post and not an official statement. Clearly the diocese wants to spread the message but not be held responsible for it.

    https://archny.org/dealing-with-papal-mistakes/

And look at this Priest of the English Ordinariate, a married man who converted from Anglican ministry.

Recently he said he would not be complying with a new round of Church closures and publicly repented of having done so before.

Now he is busy laying into Francis over his latest scandal.

I know some have reservations about married, former Anglican priests but even so we must admit very few “common or garden” Catholic priests would be so bold.

There’s no question that this priest, regardless of his background, is more faithful to the Church and the priesthood than a majority of the cradles Catholic priests. I would never advocate converting Anglican clergy being allowed to become priests if they are married, but as an exception allowed even under Pius XII I can accept rare occurrences. This Fr. I guess it’s hard to say. John XXIII opened the windows and let in the fresh air … Paul VI was the one who blew everything up with religious liberty and the Novus Ordo … but imagine if Francis was Pope back then! The Novus Ordo could have been so much worse then it already was! He really and truly is the rotten fruit of the “conciliar church” that JXXIII and PVI started.

      Andrew Magoffin

You’re absolutely spot on with that observation. Francis is the logical conclusion of what these previous Modernist Popes embraced, which is humanism and naturalism. They opened the door to Satan, or “the smoke of Satan”, to quote Paul VI, and everything began to deteriorate, the theology, the liturgy, the Sacraments and now, under this Pope the morals. It’s all foretold by Our Lady in the Message and Secret of Fatima, the apostasy that begins from the top down.

      • Andrew Magoffin

Exactly! Instead of “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” The question we face is, “who is worse? The popes who made V2, or the Popes who follow it?”

And what of Benedict? Did he not deceive many by pinching incense to tradition, while he remained a ravenous modernist wolf underneath?

I was just thinking that with the “deep state” controlled by China running all Western economies into the ground ready for the global totalitarian takeover, and the “deep Church” moving at the same time to destroy what’s left of Christian moral teaching and culture, I think a diving intervention is a lot closer than we may have imagined.

All the powers of Hell have been mobilised in the past few years, but particularly this year, to destroy the free world, meaning that things are coming to a head very quickly. We know that Satan will lose ultimately, but I can’t help but wonder what form the universal chastisement will take. When a Pope for the first time in Church history attacks the very divine and moral law he is supposed to uphold and defend, the same Pope who is said to have sold out the Chinese underground Catholics, a treachery said to have resulted in a big Chinese donation to the Vatican, then we know the evil has reached its height. God alone knows what’s coming in response from heaven, but it’s coming very soon now.

I was about to make the point that we’ve had very bad popes in the past, usually due to sexual weakness and immorality. I was also going to point out that, as evidence of the difference between those popes and Francis, even the BBC’s portrayal of The Borgias (some years ago) included a scene where, just as he was about to sin, the pope prayed “God forgive me!” For the record, I only saw the advance taster – that was it… I did not watch the whole thing. Not worth missing Columbo for that. When the BBC start rolling out Columbo repeats, I’ll be back…

I’d say this is the first time we’ve had a pope who doesn’t think anything is a sin except chucking a bit of wastepaper and missing the bin.

Anyway, blow me, if I didn’t find a “new” blogger in the moderation queue, providing a detailed list of every sin ever committed by every pope prior to Francis The First, and we hope, Last…. I was about to release it, thinking I’d hold my fire and answer him in due course. That was, until I read his parting shot:

I could go on forever and a day but I don’t wish to detract from your Francis-bashing party.”

He’s now been despatched to blog oblivion. And good riddance. Trolls… I wonder if their wives know what they get up to when they are supposed to be washing the dishes?

    You have to laugh…

We’ve got to get back to really pushing for the release of the Third Secret (as well as the Consecration of Russia) – specifically the part that Cardinal Mario Luigi Ciappi, the personal theologian to five successive popes, revealed to Professor Baumgartner in Salzburg, Austria in 1995 that “In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.” We can see this unfolding now. Along with the Consecration of Russia, the revelation of the Secret would help to clarify and solve the problem. Also – a lesser known part of the post-1917 revelations to Sister Lucia is that the Holy See is to formally approve and promulgate the First Saturday devotion. This has never been done, either.

Agreed. The Third Secret (suppressed part) is crucial to fully understanding – among other things – Pope Francis. Without a doubt. More about Bella Dodd: ring any bells?

“And Bella Dodd’s testimony in that signed affidavit is that, under instructions from the American Communist Party, of which she was a passionate and high-ranking member for many years, she had headed up a special operation to place 1,200 young men in seminaries, all of whom were agents of the Communist Party.

And this is what she said:

“In the late 1920s and 1930s, I personally put eleven hundred men into the priesthood in order to weaken the Catholic Church from within.

“The idea was for these men to be ordained and progress to positions of influence and authority as Monsignors and Bishops…

“Right now they are in the highest places where they are working to bring about change in order to weaken the Church’s effectiveness against Communism.

“These changes will be so drastic that you will not even recognize the Catholic Church.

“Of all the world’s religions, the Catholic Church was the only one feared by the Communists, for it was its only effective opponent.

“The whole idea was to destroy, not the institution of the Church, but rather the faith of the people, and even use the institution of the Church, if possible, to destroy the faith through the promotion of a pseudo-religion.

“Something that resembled Catholicism but was not the real thing.

“Once the faith was destroyed, there would be a guilt complex introduced into the Church… to label the ‘Church of the past’ as being oppressive, authoritarian, full of prejudices, arrogant in claiming to be the sole possessor of truth, and responsible for the divisions of religious bodies throughout the centuries.

“This would be necessary in order to shame Church leaders into an ‘openness to the world,’ and to a more flexible attitude toward all religions and philosophies. The Communists would then exploit this openness in order to undermine the Church.” (taken from Dr. Bella Dodd, lecture at Fordham University in 1953).

      Westminsterfly,

One of the things on my bucket list is to visit the Bella Dodd archive in St. Louis, to see if she actually named names regarding the infiltrators – or kept completely silent about them, as Abp. Sheen told her to do.

Another useful reminder about this shipwreck of a pontificate would be to review John Vennari’s introduction to The Alta Vendita, wherein the Freemasons outline their long-term plan to subvert and transform the Church from within, via a pope who meets their needs.

I’d say this Pope certainly meets their needs. In fact, he is the culmination of all the post-Conciliar Popes who have met their needs. Until 2013, however, we’ve been heading downward at turtle speed. Pope Francis has put us on a roller coaster – a one-way roller coaster.

For sure, François is a bad Pope. I think that he is not the worst. Maybe Bonifatius VIII because he committed some terrible attrocities. Also I think he choose the wrong side in Scottish independence war during his papacy. Jean

      Jean,

Committing terrible atrocities is appalling, to be sure, but Christ gave no guarantee that we would not have bad popes; his only guarantee is that His Church would be preserved from teaching falsely and the Church Fathers explained that that means, simply put, that no pope would be able to change the essentials truths of the Faith and Morals. Francis has given his own opinion about civil partnerships; he is not speaking as pope – he cannot. However, he has done this so often that it is clear that he wants to change Christ’s teaching and the natural moral order. And he is giving the impression that he can do so. That’s truly atrocious.

As for Boniface being on the wrong side in the Scottish independence war during his papacy – well, times have changed. Let’s not go there!

        Editor,

I understand now that the question is not relevant to the moral behavior but instead the opinions of the religion. For sure, the Pope he cannot change our religion, this is only his personal belief. In my opinion, what is his personal opinion does not have any consequence because it is something which he cannot change at a religious level.

    Well, well, well…

After a telephone tip-off from a friendly reader, I went in search of today’s [Glasgow] Herald Online to read the latest poison from the pen of the alleged journalist, Kevin McKenna, who also doubles as an alleged Catholic (one of those who boasts about missing Mass when it suits, you know the type).
    https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/18819585.kevin-mckenna-earthly-powers-wont-like-popes-sexuality-message/

McKenna is over the moon about Francis’ latest support for the sin of Sodom, and takes a swipe at Catholic Truth towards the end, calling us a reactionary Catholic hate group who had made it their mission to “out” gay priests.”

He doesn’t name us, of course, he seldom does but there just isn’t any other “group”, reactionary or otherwise, showing concern about the state of the Catholic Church in Scotland and definitely none which – following pleas from other Catholics, including clergy – has named priests who were publicly known to be flouting the celibacy rule, including homosexuals. So, it’s plain as day that he means us. It’s very interesting, revealing actually, that he doesn’t name us. Somewhere in that clouded conscience, he knows he’s got it all wrong about Catholic Truth – in every sense of the term.

For the record, to the best of my knowledge, every one of the priests we named (after contacting them for comment and – generally speaking – being told to shove off) has abandoned the active ministry. By their fruits etc.

And again for the record, when we had an avalanche of nasty criticism from all sorts of sources, including newspaper reports (two particularly nasty articles in The Times within a day or two of each other), we asked a number of lay Catholics if they would want to know if their priest frequented “gay” bars, or engaged in relationships (in one case, a “boyfriend” stayed at the presbytery – for around a year, if I’m not mistaken). In each and every case the reply was “yes”. Often accompanied by an expletive, everyone we asked said that they had a struggle finding money for the Sunday plate as it is, so they certainly did not want to be funding the “gay” lifestyle or any other sexually sinful lifestyle.

We don’t know anyone’s private sins. If, perchance, we happened across one, that would not be published by Catholic Truth. However, when sins are publicly flaunted – well, that’s a very different kettle of sin.

Anyway, read the latest savage attack on the authentic Catholic Faith, in the name of supporting the Pope. You really couldn’t make this stuff up.

      Athanasius,

Thank you for that – it is just incredible to watch this pontiff’s utterly anti-Catholic agenda unfolding.

Somehow, though, the Holy Ghost prevents him from binding us to belief and discipline in the Catholic sense – this is the great miracle of orthodoxy – as GK Chesterton pointed out in his book of that name, while still an Anglican: he was citing the Catholic Church as evidence of the continuity of Christian teaching from the beginning…

““It is always simple to fall; there are an infinity of angles at which one falls, only one at which one stands. To have fallen into any one of the fads from Gnosticism to Christian Science would indeed have been obvious and tame. But to have avoided them all has been one whirling adventure; and in my vision the heavenly chariot flies thundering through the ages, the dull heresies sprawling and prostrate, the wild truth reeling but erect.”

Painful as it is to admit, what is wrong with this Pope is that he does not have a Catholic mindset. His rhetoric and actions, whether he realises it or not, are of the Masonic mindset, not the Catholic one.

It is disheartening in the extreme
to see the pope supporting these exploiters of humanity and enemies of the church

I wouldn’t be too disheartened for Our Lord is always in charge of His Church, despite appearances. Despite the betrayals of Francis, the Gates of Hell will not prevail.

Think of how disheartening it must have been for the Apostles when Our Lord was crucified and died on the Cross, contrary to everything they had hoped for. It must have been pretty awful for them huddled together in the Cenacle in fear and despondency, yet Good Friday gave place to Easter Sunday so quickly and everything changed. That’s what will happen just as the enemies of God think they have killed the Church.

If the average American Catholic knew the dystopian genocidal agenda of the World Economic Forum/agenda 21/great reset and that it had the active support of Pope Francis he would be shocked. Many would simply leave the church or stop supporting it financially.

Particular Popes don’t make the Church. They, like us, are entrusted by Our Lord with the faith and with a Catholic duty, hence they can fail, and sometimes have failed, catastrophically. The truths of the Catholic religion cannot cease because of a bad Pope. Francis will disappear into history and another will be placed on the Throne of Peter, hopefully one more worthy. A Catholic would be a great start!
