Scotland’s Dictatorship – Latest: 5-Tier System Of Rules Set To Cause Chaos?

Scotland’s Dictatorship – Latest: 5-Tier System Of Rules Set To Cause Chaos?

Comment:

As one commentator has written Boris introduced 3 tiers, so Nicola has to go better. You couldn’t make it up!

That’s one way of looking at it.  What do you think – do these tiers or levels make a jot of sense to you?   It seems to me, that this latest development in totalitarian rule is a recipe for disaster – just from a management point of view, never mind the continuing erosion of our civil liberties.  What do you think?

I remember Athanasius saying on another thread, that he was meeting more and more people who are fed up with this whole thing and likely to be non-compliant.

Well, I’m not long home from shopping in one of the major supermarkets and 100% of the people I encountered seem to be perfectly OK, still.

Yes, I only spoke to two people but 100% is 100% 😀 And neither seemed bothered in the slightest. One of them smiled at me pityingly which almost annoyed me, until I remembered that it was he, not I who deserved pity.

“Let that mask do its work” I thought to myself. “Then we’ll see who’s laughing…”

Of course, I won’t be laughing, but you’ll get my drift. Not even these latest crazy “tiers” will bring tears to Scottish eyes.

I thought that one up all by myself… 😀

Ed just a wee question. As your more in the so called KNOW than me do you know if Wee Nic has a Hot Line to Bill Gates. Sachs and the Devil Incarnate Himself George Soros. As the 3 of them more or less along with the Dimocrats tell us that they have all the answers. 🙈

        FOOF,

Believe it or not, neither “Wee Nic” nor “Auld Nick” confide in me… I would suspect that the First Minister has certainly made the acquaintance of the great and the not-so-good listed in your post.

I never listen to the wee dictator and most people I know either laugh out loud or become crimson with rage when her name is mentioned. I disagree about people being compliant as, it my experience, most, people I meet think she’s off the wall with her ridiculous rules. who does she think she is? A digital Christmas? Take a hike ya heathen!

Most people I know are going along with the mask rule because they are afraid of fines or worse, not because they think it’s a good idea. There’s a lot of anger and frustration behind a lot of those masks, except for the few braindead who still think this is about health.

As for the new restrictions, all I can say is it’s almost beyond belief that these idiots have been elected to run countries. I mean we’re talking the utmost insanity in what they’re doing, or the utmost evil which makes more sense. Nothing we can do about them – their own excesses will bring them down eventually. That’s the problem for despots who get power they can’t handle, it goes to their heads and they end up digging their own political graves. I still harbour good hope that one day they will all stand trial for treason (working under Chinese direction via the WHO to destroy the West) and for crimes against humanity. The truth will come out sooner or later, it always does.

      Athanasius,

The utmost insanity it is. I couldn’t agree more.

As for electing these nuts – here’s where my pile of spoiled ballot papers from many elections over the years comes into its own. Not guilty!

Can you believe this, folks, I came in to post the following video clip, which came in my inbox from a friend (it’s an RTE discussion) only to find Jean has published it on another thread! In the spirit of “can’t get too much of a good thing”, then, I’m posting it here… Disclaimer/Confession: I’ve not had time to watch it myself but it comes highly recommended, from a trustworthy source… Sounds great. Enjoy!

I couldn’t believe that having listened to the sense spoken by the English professor of pathology, the daft asscociate Professor of Neuroscience kept pushing the “it’s a dangerous virus, we need longer lockdowns” line. I doubt he’s being paid by someone. Either that or he bought his qualifications on the Internet! Whatever the answer, he was being deliberately dishonest and disingenuous. These liars are slipped in to every conversation by governments.

        Athanasius,

I’ve now watched the clip and I laughed at the “subtitles” – sarcy commentary, from the video-maker, as the associate professor was blethering nonsense.

As you say, the English professor is right on the button – to go from his obvious sense to the Man from Mars, was quite an experience. Could easily qualify as a Lenten penance, no question about it.

By the way, the daft professor listed Australia among the countries he think has been successful – eh? He obviously doesn’t follow Sky News Australia, certainly not Alan Jones or he’d know otherwise. Goodness me, say “Police State” with an Australian accent, and you’ve got it in one… 😀

I would have responded to his daft Australia success claim with a good old fashioned Australian retort: “rack off ya dag”. In case you’re wondering what a “dag” is, it’s the unsightly and very unpleasant matted wool clump on a sheep’s rear end. Now there’s a nice thought!

      Editor,

That’s a great debate – if only we had that sort of thing over here, more people would start to think and not just go along with what they’re told.

I agree that the associate professor of neuroscience is totally out of his depth. The other professor, from England, was exactly right all the way through the discussion. I wonder he’s not interviewed on the mainstream platforms in the UK. It can only mean that they are deliberately suppressing information, they don’t want the plebs to know the facts.

Go Scotland !! Onward !! I hope it is the first of many but it is beginning to look like David and Goliath all over the world. All of us Davids have to rise up with our biggest sling shots and sharp rocks. Communists like to get rid of small businesses. Perhaps they have their noses under our tents like the camel. I think they like the big government box stores like Walmart. If they have their way, we’ll all be meeting each other in Walmart with our government checks.

What a load of cow manure! Where does this silly woman get her ideas? Clearly she has forgotten that she is ruling over a nation of people, not computer models. Then again, Communists and socialists don’t really give a hoot about actual people. They just mouth perfunctory compassion and go ahead and grab more power and money at our expense, while they make up their own rules and flout the ones they decree for us peons.

Tell you what, Ms. Head Fish: here’s another Tier for you: how many people will you allow to gather on blogs? And will there be fewer allowed on Catholic blogs than the others? Would you like us to put masks on our computers, so that the dreaded, long-dead virus can’t seep through our keyboards and screens and infect us?

If there are no lawyers in Scotland willing to defend the nation against this insanity, then perhaps there are some psychologists who will pronounce this woman unfit to hold public office.

      RCA Victor,

Can you imagine trying to find an expert in the field to fix a computer virus? I’ve never worked out why they live in fields, but that’s a separate issue. Report a computer virus? You kidding? We’re liable to find ourselves under house arrest for the foreseeable future, with the computer put into quarantine (for … what’s that period of time they keep mentioning? O, yes, that’s it..) indefinitely.

“No lawyers in Scotland”? Never a truer word (or four 😀 )… I sent the video of the German lawyer to a firm in Glasgow, because they advertised as specialising in class action suits under employment law, and did not receive anything after the automated “we know you’re out there and we’ll be in touch in due course…” non-reply.

      Crofterlady,

I’ve no time for this public support vs private rebellion. What use is that? It’s because of the continued compliance that Mzzz Sturgeon has the confidence to threaten us with almost total lockdown, one of the tiers hiding somewhere in plain sight in her 5-tier totalitarian terror campaign. I hope I don’t sound paranoid but, well, it’s all really getting to me…

The thing about Sturgeon is She thinks that She’s listened to . Ad for instance like to take a real Vote on who Listens to this Worst Woman in Scotland since Thatcher and boy Thatcher was bad and look where she ended up . In the latter stages of her Life, her own Children wouldn’t come to visit Her ( maybe it wasn’t surprising as the Greedy Mark one was banned from entering the U.K )
Sturgeon of course has no problem there as She has no Children ( what a surprise) . Of course there is still time for her to go to her Favourite Pastime after the Chinese Corona Virus and have a talk with her LGBTQ2WXYZ pals to see how they acquire Children. Even better maybe She could have a word with Pope Francis as the 2 of them seem to have a lot in common. For starters both of them talk Garbage and that would at least be a starting point. As for myself I actually thought that 5 Tiaras only belonged to that other Stupid Wummin Megan Sparkle .
O as a Last Point it’s ( for me ) coming up to that Horrible BBC mob trying to Rob me of £150 + well I actually got caught out last year . This year their onto Rice . Give them nothing. I can now watch Columbo on the Internet and not Live . God Bless. James D.

Well, I wouldn’t as I don’t believe she did have a miscarriage. How convenient that she had her “miscarraige” abroad in some land where nobody can verify it? Don’t believe it! That witch doesn’t have a loving / maternal hormone in her entire body. She’d go down well in a Gestapo camp.

        October 24, 2020 at 10:09 pm
      • editor

Er, that’s my point, Charles… You are accusing the bloggers here of lack of charity for criticising the Scottish Government (I presume, since that’s the topic and as usual you just throw in a generalised remark without any clarity and leave us to work out what you mean. Let’s hope you’re not a defence lawyer… 😀 ) … And yet I distinctly remember you commenting on a previous thread in which you acknowledged that the SNP Govt has an authoritarian streak, or words to that effect.

Easily resolved – DO you think that and if so, do you think it’s uncharitable to say so and if so will you confess it?

And while you’re mulling over those questions, maybe answer this one: is it ever acceptable to criticise a Government – say, a Communist dictatorship, like China? Is THAT uncharitable/matter for confession?

Do you see where I’m going with this? “Quietly round the bend” is the wrong answer!

Mdm Editor, there is a difference between disagreeing about a persons party politics and making personal comments and slurs on an individuals personal and private lives. One which CT regulars are frequently unable discern the difference. I dont particularly like your attitude to many subjects you bring up for discussion CT, but that does not give me the right to call into question your personal integrity : eg Athanasius personal remarks on the the state of NS marriage” that is a marriage of convenience, if you know what I mean.”That type of comment is uncharitable and unnecessary and several derogatory remarks about NS which have been made by others. They are unedifying and have no place on the type of blog you claim this to be. WRONG WRONG WRONG. Pure and simple. You ask bloggers to be respectful of each other, the remarks criticising NS as a person and personal circumstances fall far short of this criteria!!!!

        October 25, 2020 at 3:51 am
      • editor

        Charles,

You are correct about our tendency to be a tad personal in our remarks on this thread (and probably others) about Nicola Sturgeon; you are also correct to say that we really ought to confine ourselves to criticising her political leadership and policies, if criticism is warranted. Not indulge in personal remarks.

I must say, I complain myself about those alleged Catholics who attack President Donald Trump, name-calling him, mocking him, his appearance, mannerisms, you name it, and blatantly lying about him. Then go on to praise the pro-abortion up to ninth month (infanticide) Joe Biden. You are right, best to stick to the policies, as far as possible.

All I can say by way of explanation (not excuse – there isn’t one) is that while we do try our best to keep this blog as “Catholic” as possible (in terms of charity) we are all possessed of that same fallen human nature which required baptism and, thereafter, frequent confession.

So, I apologise for offending your sensibilities – and apologies, too, to anyone else out there who is scandalised by any lack of Christian charity in our comments about Nicola Sturgeon.

Again, not to make excuses but to test your heartstrings a little, it’s really not easy to discuss any of the UK politicians right now without falling into unkindness, because they are all acting like dictators and I doubt if anyone would come on here and accuse us of lack of charity if we were aiming our ire at Adolph Hitler or any other recognised contemporary (or near enough) dictators.

The current crop are not yet officially recognised as dictators but, if you recall the stark warning given by the lawyer in the video posted in several places on this blog, some day all involved – politicians, media and so-called health experts – will be held accountable for the way in which we have been mistreated, which he believes amounts to crimes against humanity. I agree.

That said, you are right to chastise us. We ought to restrict our comments to calling out the way “the virus” is being manipulated to programme us into accepting totalitarian governance. That’s really all that matters.

So, remember, folks, we need to beware of becoming like “sounding brass and tinkling symbols” for, as St Paul teaches, charity is the greatest of the three theological virtues and without it, we may as well pack up and go home…

        In short, thank you, Charles.

      Helen,

I loved the Yorkshire woman of 83 at the start of that Twitter feed who doesn’t care about the virus, wants freedom – she’s a star!

I copied this which made me laugh – the Welsh government has lost the plot completely, as that Twitter feed shows – they’ve actually decided what’s “essential” and covered it up! One of the tweets says we all have different needs, how dare they. I agree. This is what made me laugh –

“BREAKING NEWS: Seven dinghies packed with refugees arrived on a beach at Weston-Super-Mare this morning. Government sources said they are being returned to Wales immediately.”

LOL! Maybe we’re not so bad after all up here!

Only thing is, Sturgeon is desperate to always be one ahead of Boris, let’s hope she doesn’t take on the Welsh first minister or whatever he’s called. That’s all we need!

I think the 5 Tiers should be re-named the “5 Tears,” in honor of the 5 Wounds of Our Lord, not to mention the tears He is shedding at the state of the once-Christian West, including the Eldest Islamized Daughter of the Church, once-Merrye England, the Emerald Locked-Down Isle, and the once-proud Gaels of Robert the Bruce and William Wallace.

Here in America, the clock had struck one minute before midnight before we Yanks woke up and elected Donald Trump to roll back the tide of Communism. I hope your clock in Scotland has now struck the same hour, after this latest outrage. It’s time for your Head Fish to turn into a pumpkin.

        Laura

This does not surprise me in the least since Boris is a liberal globalist, the complete opposite of Trump. Let’s face it, no matter what party name they go by these days, most political establishments around the world are inherently Cultural Marxist, which is why Trump is so unique and so hated both home and abroad. Boris has always been a false friend to Trump, doing just enough to keep relations warm for some business but deep down resenting the man and desperate for an establishment figure in America to take his place.

The Conservatives ceased to be conservative about 40 years ago. This actually makes them more deceitful than opposition parties that have never hidden their revolutionary agenda. Pretend Catholics like Jacob Rees-Mogg and Ian Duncan Smith in their ranks only adds to the deceit. The Conservatives, like the entire British political establishment, is now utterly corrupt, as we now see by their unilateral subservience to Communist Beijing and its controlling arm, the WHO. We need a new kind of politics in the UK, a completely new model that will rid the country of these destroyers of liberty, morality and the economy.

Bruce and Wallace were not Gaels. Wallace (de Walys, i.e. from Gaul, Wales or Brittany was defintiely what we would call Celtic but not Gael). The de Brusse family of Flanders and Normandy entered England in 1050 as part of the entourage of Duke Richard I; the family remained in Britain subsequent to the conquest of England by Richard’s son, William the Conqueror, in 1066. Robert de Bruce (d. 1094) married a Norman woman, Agnes St. Clair, and was the son of a Norman woman, Emma of Brittany. Other members of the de Brusse/Brousse family in France emigrated not only to England, but also to what are now Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland.

By the early 1300s, the Bruce family in Scotland had produced Robert I (the Bruce), King of Scotland, who reigned from 1306 to 1329. Robert I, King of the Scots, married Isobel of Mar (1295), producing a child, Marjory de Bruce. The de Mar family (i.e., “from the sea/ocean”) was also French Mediterranean in origin. Robert subsequently married Elizabeth de Burgh (also of French origin), having a daughter with her as well, Matilda (Maud). Robert I also had a son, David (b. 1325), by either Elizabeth or a mistress, and two additional children, Elizabeth and Robert, by mistresses.

They are part of the same Norman/Flemish crypto-Jew established order which has presided over the British isles since the 12th century. Their descendents are part of the Masonic infiltration which led Scotland to practical Noahide state which it has been since the Reformation, which is spuriously termed Presbyterianism. In reality, it is practical Judaism.

        MaryW,

Thank you for that link – this paragraph jumped out at me and made me laugh a hollow laugh…

On the 15th October 2020 the stark reality that we are being led by a psychotic Covidian cult narrative became even more evident; Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland, announced with great glee that couples marrying would no longer have to wear face masks when tying the knot. Of course, the Priest, Vicar, or Registrar etc conducting the ceremonies never had to wear a mask to conduct the marriage ceremony. What kind of political leader would impose on couples, who for all intent and purposes will be living together and spending the night together after the wedding, have to wear a mask during their wedding ceremony?

Totally crazy – as the author rightly said this Covid nonsense has become a cult.

‘The Lords of the Isles’, Ronald Williams (1984/1997)
        ‘The Canmores’, Richard Oram (2002)
        ‘The Borders’, Alistair Moffat (2002)
‘When Scotland was Jewish’, Elizabeth Caldwell (2007)

‘The Forgotten Monarchy of Scotland’, Michael Stewart (2000)

        Jean

This blog exists to uphold and defend the Traditional Catholic Faith, presently under grave assault both from without and within the Church. We are very well aware of the Revolutionary element behind Communism and Freemasonry, an element that has the destruction of the Church and the eradication of supernatural Christianity from the face of the earth as its primary objective. The Popes of Tradition have amply exposed this Satanic evil and condemned it.

What is of greater concern to us right now is not the infiltration of secular structures some hundreds of years ago by Freemasons and then Communists, which is perfectly true and demonstrable, but rather the current apostasy of millions of Gentile cradle-Catholics, many of them high clergy, from God and th true religion.

There are no “crypto Jews” forcing them to abandon Our Lord and the Traditional faith handed down, they are doing that al by themselves, albeit with a similar worldview to the societal enemies of Christ. We see this most particularly today in the utter subservince of the hierarchy to the Socialist/Masonic State and its forbidden intrusion into the supernatural mission of the Church using Covd-19 as its pretext.

These are clearly faithless bishops who have abandoned the flock entrusted to them; first by the Conciliar revolution and now by turning the House of God into a government-run subsidiary of the State. They have become men of the world, naturalists like Pope Francis whose Raison d’être is to throw the weight of his office behind the Masonic globalist “brotherhood of man”, the “new humanism” of Vatican II.

All of these developments were predicted by Our Lady at Quito and at Fatima. They are the result of pride on the part of the high clergy, the Pope and Bishops, who have thought their conciliar “reform” more likely to bear fruit than humble obedience to Our Lady’s request for a public and solemn consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart – a request that for these men was too simplistic and not to be trusted. Well, the fruits of their conciliar “reform” are bitter indeed. The Church is in ruins and they are today the worldliest of men, paying mere lip service to Our Saviour. The Masonic plan has been hugely successul as a result of their co-operation and yet not one is suspected, much less proven, to be a “crypto Jew”.

Hence, for the sake of clarity, charity, justice and truth going forward I suggest you fix your entire attention on this present tragedy and let the sedevacantists and others of equal bitter zeal spend their time trawling through history looking for “Crypto Jews” to blame.

That such people have existed in the past and do exist today is undoubtedly true, but that’s not what we are called to challenge in our time. Our remit is to challenge faithless bishops and clergy who are presently destroying the supernatural life of souls by their Modernism and their compliance with evil State impositions on the superior supernatural mission of the Church on earth, which exists to sanctify souls not save a defunct NHS!

        Athanasius,

It may have escaped your attention but I was not the one whom first mentioned people from centuries before our time. I simply responded to another commenter.

If you would like to focus on superficial matters and ignore the deeper consequences of past actions which have a direct impact on us living in the world today then of course this is your decision. Please do not expect me do what you do.

        Thank you

        Jean

It is not superficial to focus on the present crisis in the Church and its immediate cause – a universal loss of supernatural faith. This is our remit here and now. Deeper historical causes may be informative in that duty when accompanied with names and facts, but that’s merely for background purposes. It is the most utter waste of time and the height of imprudence for any of us to start airing historical claims about “crypto Jews”, for obvious reasons.

I never once heard Archbishop Lefebvre speak of “crypto Jews” because that was not his immediate concern and he was wise enough and charitable enough to know that such a line of conversation was both futile and contentious. Bishop Williamson and like-minded people did, however, go down that path of bitter zeal and look where it has led them.

I am simply advising that, going forward, let us leave the historical and contentious “crypto Jew” element out of the conversation. As I said before, we know who the people are behind Freemasonry and Communism, the Popes of Tradition have laid this out very clearly for us, and we know that Communism and Freemasonry are largely at play within the Church now, as per Our Lady’s prediction. It suffices for us to highlight these evil twins and their agenda in the Church through infiltration without launching into historical fantasies about who may or may not have been a “crypto Jew” 800 years ago.

I’m sure you will see the point I’m making about the pointlessness of such a venture.

        Jean,

It is very easy to go off at tangents in conversations both in speech and in writing, so that’s obviously what has happened here, and I didn’t help with my (intended as a passing) joke about Mzzz Sturgeon.

Athanasius is, however, absolutely correct. We need to stick to the key issue today which is about the loss of divine and Catholic Faith at the very highest levels in the Church. There’s absolutely nothing “superficial” about that – goodness me!

The topic of this thread is focused on how we, in Scotland, have lost our freedom. Almost completely. There’s nothing superficial about that and it has a number of roots, but primarily the apostasy of our Bishops. If they had not lost the Faith a long time ago, they would not have been waving through the LGBT+ agenda in our schools, to name but one scandal. All along the line, they have signalled to our Marxist Scottish Government, that they are on-message, and this is true, also of their anxiety to obey the State rules over our churches, as well as our schools, since lockdown.

We’re still obeying the State restrictions in churches and every time I see a bottle of hand sanitizer, I don’t think of “the virus” …

I think of Archbishop Philip Tartaglia.

        Editor,

        The joke I don’t understand. 🤦‍♂️ I am sorry.

Maybe I have not made my comment understandable.
If you are a medicine doctor and a man comes to you with a rash on his face. Okay you can give him aloe to put on the rash and it will feel much better. This will not remove the rash though. To only give aloe is superficial. You have to understand why there is a rash and then you can fix his problem and make the rash disappear forever or it will return.

In our religion we have problems much more serious than a rash on the face. If we remove the Archbishop Tartaglia is like the doctor to only give aloe. This is superficial. We have to understand why the Archbishop behaves the way that he does and why he is in authority. Okay he is maybe not a good prelate but there is a deeper reason why the church is in a bad way and we have to fix the problem at the deepest point or the rash will continue to return. This is not fantasies like
Athanasius says. This is very real and if we do not recognize this then our religion will continue to suffer.

        Jean

It is not for us subordinates to fix the deeper problems in the Church, that duty falls to Popes, Bishops and Councils. Our duty is merely to keep the faith and defend the faith presently under assault. There is quite enough to do within that remit without us having to adopt the role of Inquisitor General. If you want to know why so many prelates and priests are really losing the faith then look no further than personal choice to abandon prayer before the tabernacle in favour of the social work before the world. If there’s a deeper, much longer history to how it all came about, which I don’t deny since the Popes have spoken of it, then let’s leave that problem be addressed by those whose remit it is.

The main reason for the present crisis of faith in the Church, regardless of historical context, is the refusal of Pope and bishops to obey Our Lady’s request for a public consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart. Had they obbeyed that simple request in humility then all historical preparations by the enemies within to destroy the Church would have failed. Tragically they didn’t obey and still refuse to obey, so we deal with the spiritual consequences as they have manifested themselves in out time. That’s all we can do.

    Jean (and Athanasius and Editor),

Here is a review of one of the books on your list above – actually, he reviews a second book on your list in passing. It is very thorough, and it would appear that by imbibing this sort of stuff you are barking up the wrong tree in more ways than one.

    http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~valorie/history/review-when_scotland_was_jewish.htm

Moreover, I have invited the author of the review to come here and respond to your assertions, although clearly if he is interested in commenting, it would be better to do so on the General Discussion thread. I will inform him that if he comments, the discussion might be moved to the D thread by Editor.

On this Feast of Christ the King, I was made aware of this startling excerpt from the Epilogue of Dostoyevsky’s Crime and Punishment:

“[Raskolnikov] was in the hospital from the middle of Lent till after Easter. When he was better, he remembered the dreams he had had while he was feverish and delirious. He dreamt that the whole world was condemned to a terrible new strange plague that had come to Europe from the depths of Asia. All were to be destroyed except a very few chosen. Some new sorts of microbes were attacking the bodies of men, but these microbes were endowed with intelligence and will. Men attacked by them became at once mad and furious. But never had men considered themselves so intellectual and so completely in possession of the truth as these sufferers, never had they considered their decisions, their scientific conclusions, their moral convictions so infallible…Each thought that he alone had the truth…They did not know how to judge and could not agree what to consider evil and what good…Men killed each other in a sort of senseless spite. All men and all things were involved in destruction. The plague spread and moved further and further. Only a few men could be saved in the whole world. They were a pure chosen people, destined to found a new race and a new life, to renew and purify the earth, but no one had seen these men, no one had heard their words and their voices.”

I juxtapose, to this eerie vision of our present circumstances, the words of Cardinal Pie of Poitiers regarding the Reign of Christ the King:

““He [God] will reign; and if He does not reign by the benefits inseparable from his presence, He will reign by calamities inseparable from His absence.”

It seems painfully obvious that we are now experiencing Christ’s Reign through calamity, since we have rejected His rule and His Presence, and therefore His blessings. Perhaps the lost rulers of the West, especially those whose tyrannical grip of false “truths” – a Tower of Pseudo-Scientific Babel – have now enslaved the citizens of the UK, will awaken to their grievous errors before their path of darkness becomes even darker.

If not, it seems certain that more calamities will befall us.

      RCA Victor,

Thank you for mentioning this beautiful Feast of Christ the King – I had every intention but the saying “the road to Hell is paved with good intentions” was coined with moi in mind!

I’m not as skilled as your good self in analysing the crisis from different perspectives (Christ’s Passion, “calamities inseparable from his absence” albeit each excellent and self-evidently true).

I just think of it as foretold at Quito and Fatima – in essence, a diabolical disorientation; everything is the opposite of what it should be, utter evil appearing to reign supreme.

But what better day on which to remind ourselves that evil will NOT reign supreme, than this Feast of Christ the King who continues to reign supreme. Here’s my favourite quote from G.K. Chesterton, written when he was still an Anglican; he uses the Catholic Church as an example of the triumph of the Faith throughout every trial:

“It is always simple to fall; there are an infinity of angles at which one falls, only one at which one stands. To have fallen into any one of the fads from Gnosticism to Christian Science would indeed have been obvious and tame. But to have avoided them all has been one whirling adventure; and in my vision the heavenly chariot flies thundering through the ages, the dull heresies sprawling and prostrate, the wild truth reeling but erect.” ― G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy

As we know, his right-thinking, his clarity of mind about the Faith brought him into the Church in due course – and it should keep those of us struggling in this dreadful time of error, heresy and immorality, holding confidently to the Faith of our Fathers, however we interpret the storms around us.

As for your observations about “the lost rulers of the West” – spot on.

Here’s something I thought I would run past you all (no, not a joke, this time, this is serious…)

Chatting to a friend this morning, she ran THIS past me… And left me speechless…

So, we were saying, what on earth is going on, more lockdowns, never-ending Coronavirus situation …

Well, what if the World Bank is planning to pay off all of our debts, take on people’s debts and mortgages, with those who have paid off their mortgage signing over their home to the government in exchange for having all debts cleared… What if..

That is the plan, that we are going to be reduced to real poverty and thus become enslaved (without the benefit of the odd Trafalgar Square protest)?

Is it far-fetched or is my friend likely to be chillingly right about this?

I think your friend is wrong for one very important reason – the Masonic lot that run the World Bank are not in the habit of giving money away. Why would they pay off debts and mortgages when they have decades of experience in stealing them from people? More like lots of repossessions in the offing!

Well I read today that Nigel Farage is re-branding the Brexit Party, calling it the UK Reform Party. He says it’s objective is to change the political system in the UK and will be anti-lockdown.

Now every UK citizen can pay back the globalist elite at Westminster and Holyrood for their criminal activity. I foresee an end to current political establishment after what they have done. Hope Nigel gets this up and running very quickly and draws, as I’m sure he will, a massive support from voters of all shades. I think the anger of citizens will be poured out in buckets through this new Party.

    I hope!

Is there any chnce WordPress could provide us with an “edit comment” box? No matter how hard I try I keep making mistakes in spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc., and it would be really good if I could simply go in afterwards and change them. Or maybe I should just slow down with the typing, which seems to be the main reason for the constant mistakes.

      Athanasius,

Any time I’ve asked WP about this, the answer is in the negative.

I know Disquis have an edit button but I fear it only confuses things because when everyone can change their comments at will, nothing is certain, obviously. I’ve made major changes to comments I’ve posted on Disquis, so I am not convinced it’s a good idea.

When I check out the blog and notice typos etc I go in and change them, for the most part. The only typo in your post at 1.07 was “pured” instead of “poured” – nothing else, so worry not; your meaning is always (crystal) clear!

Would someone tell this idiotic Sturgeon woman that we are SICK of “being kept safe” by her – we’re adults and we can look after ourselves. If you can detect some contempt for this woman in my comments, you should apply for a job with the nearest detective agency.

I can’t stand dictators no matter where they are – when I come across one who lives and rules MY country, my contempt knows no bounds.

Now we’re not going to be able to move from one area to another for the purpose of “keeping people safe” [from a virus from which almost 100% of those who become infected, recover] – and she’s thinking of making it a law which means she’s going to make it a law.

How many court actions have we heard of since this inter-governmental criminality began back in March, of which not one has yet produced even a modicum of justice for the oppressed peoples of the world?

I don’t pay any attention now to present or touted court actions because, well intentioned as the litigants may be, the courts are stacked in favour of the ruling elite, which is why they simply carry on regardless with arrogant self-assurance of immunity from justice.
