Is Glasgow set to host Pope’s plea for planet?
The future of the planet and the welfare of the world’s inhabitants – these are the issues facing world leaders as they come to Glasgow later this year for the UN Climate Change Conference known as COP26. And among them could be Pope Francis.
The Holy Father’s concern for ecological issues is well-known and he has devoted a whole encyclical to them – Laudato Si. It emerged last month that consideration was being given to a possible Papal presence at the talks which are scheduled for early November at the SEC.
The COP26 summit will bring world leaders including Presidents Biden and Macron together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and is considered the most important such gathering in recent history due to the enormity of the issues being discussed.
Any papal visit would be short and would not involve public ceremonies or Masses, but rather a direct intervention by the Holy Father on the issue of climate change to the assembled.
The Pope has made these kinds of one day visits before when he flew to France to address the European Parliament in Strasbourg and to Switzer- land to mark the 70th anniversary of the World Council of Churches. Both of these were one-day round trips.
All countries signed up to the UN Framework Convention of Climate Change are entitled to attend the Glasgow event, including the Holy See, which has UN observer status. Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State and most senior diplomat, has led the Holy See’s delegations at previous summits.
Speaking to diplomats in the Vatican earlier this year, the Holy Father explicitly highlighted the importance of the Glasgow summit. He said he hoped that “the next United Nations Climate Change Conference to take place in Glasgow next November, will lead to effective agreement in addressing the consequences of climate change. Now is the time to act, for we are already feeling the effects of prolonged inaction.”
A Bishops’ Conference working group, chaired by Bishop Bill Nolan of Galloway has been in place since last year to plan for the event. Already a series of preparations are underway:
• A Mass for visiting delegates will be at St Aloysius on Sunday, November 7 at 3pm
• Schools across Scotland will study and put into action the insights of Laudato Si through special events and there will also be a “season of creation” theme in September.
• The Bishops of Scotland plan a pastoral letter to sensitize people in late spring ahead of the UN Conference.

It will be unconscionable if – prior to the Mass to be provided for those attending the Climate Change Conference – the Bishops of Scotland do not make clear that Canon Law #915 is invoked, and that, therefore, no-one who is a known public supporter of abortion (or in any other way causing public scandal) may approach for Holy Communion. Is this likely, thinkest thou, or will the Bishops weakly ignore the issue? Joe Biden makes no secret of his support for abortion right up to and after birth – infanticide. The Bishops cannot remain silent on this – they must act in plenty of time to avoid the danger of sacrilege. Their duty is to avoid causing offence to God – not to President Biden.
And what about the UN choosing Glasgow for a conference on climate change? If a visit to Scotland in November doesn’t cure them of worrying about global warming, nothing will 😀

The good God may get a passing mention if the Pope attends, because he kinda knows it’s expected of him, but it’ll be just that – a passing mention and probably in the context of telling us that God will not be happy with us unless we reduce our carbon emissions pronto, blah blah.

There is absolutely zero chance of the Scottish bishops issuing any commentary about Biden (or anyone else who is pro-abortion) not approaching for Holy Communion.
That would take a bit of courage, or at least self respect, so they will go down the Pontius Pilate road and wash their hands of all responsibility, IMHO.
Biden probably won’t come, in the end, I think they’ll send “President Harris” as he, Biden, called her recently – you can hear that in the video clip below, as well as see him stumbling and falling up the plane steps. So, even if he wants to come to Glasgow, he might not make it onto the plane, LOL!

That’s hilarious. I saw one report on Newsmax TV where they reminded viewers about the way the msm made a big deal of it when President Trump walked deliberately slowly down a ramp which was slippy. They were asking if this was evidence of “neurological” problems – the same msm which is ignoring Biden’s stumbles , not one but three of them, LOL!

If you think your bishops will deny Joke Biden Communion, you need to make a stronger morning cuppa java. If they’re lucky, as Nicky hopes, Harris will fly in on her broom instead, make a few cackling remarks, and dutifully attend some Satan-worship somewhere.
I’m going to go way out on a limb and say that your bishops should not only deny Joke Biden Communion, they should also deny Pope Francis Communion, based on (a) his failure to uphold Church doctrine, (b) his devious, repeated attempts to undermine said doctrine and (c) his surrender of the Church to the Satanists of the New World Order.

Crawling back on my limb toward the trunk of the tree, this sentence in the article struck me as rather sinister:

“Sensitize”? If that doesn’t smack of Communist indoctrination, I don’t know what does. Translation: we need to make sure people are sufficiently brainwashed so that they meekly accept this rubbish. Let’s create more fear! Let’s do a chicken little dance in every classroom, newspaper, TV and radio station, talk show, and grocery store promotion!
Oh, and while we’re at it, let’s cajole people into taking the “vaccine,” which – dontcha know – will reduce climate change dramatically (fine print: by depopulating the planet…).

How are these people getting to Glasgow anyway? Are they going to swim? Where will they set their tents since all the hotels will still be closed either through the virus or liquidation? I thought we all had to think carefully before travelling anywhere, even to the work.
I don`t think anyone needs to worry about Biden getting communion when he is here. The Scottish clergy
will still be “coorying doon” awaiting on the coronavirus heading back to China, so there will hardly be any opportunities to see the inside of a church.
A Mass for visiting delegates will be held in St Aloysius on the Sunday ???? My nephew died a few weeks ago from, they said, Covid, and yet when a priest was requested to perform the last rites he told me he “wasn`t allowed to” by no other than Nicola Sturgeon and her Marxist Health Minister.
I remember my daughter going to confession in St Aloysius a few years ago and despite the fact that she was actually on the kneeler in front of the priest he told her confessions were finished. This was after travelling over 40 miles to get there after her work. She finished up crying in the porch with frustration.
Meanwhile, the grovelling-on-the-knees agenda will be in full force waiting on an opportunity to crawl to people like Biden when they comes calling.
There`s one good thing the virus has taught us and that is that it has shown most of the clergy up in their true colours.

Your spot on about most of The Scottish so called Catholic Clergy in fact I had a talk with my P.P During the week and Hes at least starting the TLMass on Palm Sunday. Our good Priests are under enormous pressure from these Protestant Bishops and Protestant Priests as they would shop a Good Priest quicker than a Rat ( which most of them are anyway ) running up a Drainpipe .As for the Catholic Church where this Mass for the Climaters is taking place lets also Pray that the Heating Breaks down on said Day of this Mass .Maybe even God could intervene and make Next November a Month to remember in the Cold Weather Stats . The bishops should definitely do whatever they need to do to get word to Biden that he mustn’t come forward for Holy Communion and if they don’t, which past performance suggests is the most likely, then we really have to write them off as Judases.

I know that Biden fully supports abortion up to the ninth month, and that is completely barbaric, and shocking, but surely that doesn’t include after birth? I’ve not heard anything about that – as far as I know, it’s not happened in Scotland.
If it does happen, though, and the Summorum Pontificum clergy obey THAT particular illicit and sacrilegious instruction, that would be the time to switch to the SSPX Masses. No question about it. The SSPX clergy went along with the bishops in the lockdown of churches but I seriously doubt that they would comply with any command to give Communion in the hand. Never!
I think when the very Successor of St. Peter is touted as addressing this Masonic gathering, fully engaged with its NWO, a new order without Christ the King, there’s more chance of a snowball in hell than any Scottish Bishop refusing pro-abort Biden Holy Communion. As I have said before, they simply no longer possess the Catholic Faith. Their religion is the world and its worship.

Absolutely Joe Biden should be refused Holy Communion, but like others, I don’t think there’s any chance of that happening. The Scottish bishops are too weak in the faith to even see the problem, IMHO.
Of course the Bishops should deny Biden communion, but they will not, of course.
The modern Church only seeks to accompany people on the road to hell, not correct them in the path of Our Lord.
The thought of actually doing something to justify their existence would make them feel dizzy and nauseous.
In truth, I can imagine them being giddy with excitement at the thought of being photographed with Joe Biden.
