Fatima Explains The World in Crisis Today – As Communism Spreads Fast…

As we approach the 104th  anniversary of the first apparition at Fatima, 13th May, 1917, also the Feast of the Ascension this year, we would do well to recall the suffering which has resulted from the failure of successive popes to obey the command from Heaven to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  As the first ever Communist country – that is, the first country to publicly deny the very existence of God in its governance – Russia has to be “given back to God” so to speak.  A person or (in this case) a nation,  is set apart through “consecration” – a special prayer or ceremony which makes that person sacred, holy,  pleasing to God.

Take the time required to watch both videos, and reflect, as you watch the video on the Gulag Archipelago, that it is a mistake to think that history will  not repeat itself.  We are already in the grip of totalitarianism – imposed under the pretext of protecting us from “the virus”.  The short spells of comparative freedom are always accompanied by restrictions on that same freedom and some excuse or other (a new “variant” of “the virus”) is used to restore lockdowns.  This is the pattern already embedded in our national life and the national life of countries across the world.  It’s not a coincidence, and it’s got nothing whatsoever to do with any virus.

The Fatima prophecies continue to unfold before our very eyes.  See, in the short video below about the hard labour camps in Russia after the Communist takeover, Stalin’s Answer to the Failure of Successive Popes to Consecrate Russia, and prepare for more of the same unless God’s warnings – delivered in person by His Mother – are heeded.  God chose to warn us of what was to come in both the Church and the world:  it had to be serious for Him to send Our Lady to prepare us.  If we didn’t believe the prophecies before, we must surely believe them now because we are living through the imposition of Communism as we were warned would happen back in 1917 – a warning delivered from Heaven  before the October Revolution even took place in Russia.

Watch both videos and then pray especially fervently in this Month of Mary that the Consecration of Russia will be effected soon. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

If you think I’m over-stating the case for the urgent Consecration of Russia, if you believe I’m exaggerating, feel free to say so. All I can think of to say at this stage is…

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!   Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

    “Only she can help you.”

Where is the Pope who will realize and admit that there is no way around this statement? Where is the Pope who will ask Our Lady for help? Where is the Pope who will sanctify himself, the Church and Russia by obeying Mary’s request?

All I can see is a Pope and a hierarchy who soil themselves by consorting with the enemy of mankind, and seek the help of the underworld instead of the help of Heaven.

      RCA Victor,

I agree totally with everything you say.

Honestly – that is the best video on Fatima I’ve ever seen. It covers everything accurately. Usually there’s a bloomer somewhere, but not this time. Even at the end, I was waiting for the usual “the Consecration was done by JP II” but no – the narrator went straight to the point and even quoted Our Lord’s words about what happened to the King of France will happen to these popes if they don’t do what they were told to do. It’s a first class video. Everything is there that anyone needs to know about Fatima.

I was also riveted by the Gulag Archipelago video – and that was a horrifying thought, that if the Consecration of Russia, had been done when it was first requested or at least as soon as possible, it would have prevented Stalin’s murderous atrocities. That should be put to Pope Francis and ask him if he still thinks climate change is the most important issue of the day.

I was really pleased to find that Fatima video – it tells the story of Fatima very simply and without going into unnecessary details. Some things are omitted which would have made it even more interesting, but the main point is that it gives a simple and easy to understand account of the apparitions. And importantly, there is no pretence that the Consecration has been effected. That IS most unusual – as you say.

I agree. All the recent crop of Fatima movies, including the big ‘blockbuster’ type one released a few years ago, have had the ‘Consecration’s been done / 3rd Secret’s been released’ error included in them. Has anyone seen this film (link below)? I haven’t seen it yet. It has to be purchased online and then streamed to your computer or TV. It looks more promising than previous efforts:- https://vimeo.com/ondemand/thevaticandeception

I agree – both of the videos are really good.

I started to read the Gulag Archipelago a while back but didn’t finish it. It takes a strong stomach, TBH. It should weigh very heavily on the consciences of the post-conciliar popes that they have defied God’s will re. the Consecration of Russia, knowing the terror and suffering that Communism has caused everywhere that it has been introduced – and that now includes the UK!

    May 9, 2021 at 11:08 pm

Well said – the Gulag Archipelago does bring home “man’s inhumanity to man”, without a doubt and that really is very hard to stomach, as you say. I wonder if any of these modernist popes have given a second thought to the link between their failure to consecrate Russia and the terror and tyranny which followed the introduction of Communism in that nation. Obviously, Francis isn’t seeing any connection to what is going on right now, he being a party to it – scandalously.

The reason, of course, that these pontiffs didn’t and don’t get it, is because they are spiritually blind – almost totally.

I don’t have the details in front of me, but I’ve heard sermons pointing out that between his election on October 28, 1958 and August of 1959, John XXIII strongly promoted devotion to Our Lady. However, after he read the Third Secret that August, his attitude changed.

Or, you might say, his orientation changed…!

      RCA Victor,

That’s really interesting. I was just about to post my comment when yours appeared and I’m interested that you are speaking of the Third Secret because my comment is about exactly that, because although I think the Consecration is crucial, of course, and only when that is done will we have peace in the world, but I also think we need to know the hidden part of the Third Secret, to make sense of what is happening in the Church.

I know that there is probably something in the Third Secret about the Council but I would like to know if there is something about the Mass, as well, because I can’t believe that all who are attending the novus ordo, through no fault of their own, are not receiving grace. It doesn’t make sense unless the Mass is not valid, the priest is not able to bring Christ down on the altar (the new rites of the sacraments are a worry) and so on. The Third Secret, I have read in some places, is not going to be released in full. The would be a disgrace since it was supposed to be released no later than 1960.

The videos are really excellent, I agree.

I found parts of two of John XXIII’s radio addresses, one from Feb. 1959 and one from April 1959, here: https://www.ourladyoflourdes.info/grotto-apparitions/

There is a bracketed insert in the April one, which I don’t believe is part of the speech. But here’s something further that will really make you scratch your head: his 1959 Christmas broadcast:

Was this the same Pope who dismissed the “prophets of doom” during his opening speech at Vatican II? Hard to believe.

        RCA Victor,

I copied the conclusion from the first link where Pope John XIII says:

“Hence, one would be placing his own salvation in jeopardy if, when he is assailed by the tempests of our world, he refused to accept Her helping hand.” (Pope John XXIII radio address, April 1959, a few months prior to his opening the 3rd Secret of Fatima).”

That is certainly at odds with his “Prophets of Doom” to be ignored speech at the opening of the Council.

I’ve only skimmed the second link and can’t see anything in brackets, so maybe you could quote that later, but my immediate thought on this apparent contradiction is that somebody wrote his “Prophets of Doom” speech and he uncritically read it, OR he hasn’t joined up the dots to realise that – if he was referring to various cardinals objecting to the danger of holding a Council at that time – he was implicitly describing Our Lady at one of those “prophets of doom”.

      • RCAVictor

Not only has Francis not grasped Our Lady’s helping hand, he has denied it exists:

BTW, did you notice the frequent reference to “refugees” in the John XXIII speeches? Hmmm….

You may find this article and discussion from our blog (dated 2 January, 2017) helpful when considering the question of the new Mass…
        https://catholictruthblog.com/2017/01/02/eucharistic-miracles-past-present/ – I know I did!

There’s even a quote from Bishop Williamson (the now expelled SSPX Bishop) who doesn’t take the extreme position usually held by sedevacantists and their ilk, on the new Mass and sacraments. Worth perusing… And note who posted the information about Bishop Williamson… 😀

That’s really funny. I had forgotten all about that! I remember it now, though and it puts paid to theories such as “outside the SSPX there is no salvation” – and put to rest by Bishop Williamson, of all people, LOL!

It does help to explain why it is wrong to write off all the novus ordo priests. We’ve all heard people saying that they don’t even want to attend the Latin Mass offered by priests in the diocese because they also say the novus ordo and maybe will give out hosts that were consecrated at the novus ordo. The more I think of it, the more ridiculous it is.

So, thank you for that link – it was like being on a refresher course!

This is a good resource – a pdf book ‘The True Story of Fatima’ by Fr John de Marchi. A complete account of the Fatima apparitions, updated by Fr Gruner RIP’s Fatima Network (who publish the book in paperback/magazine format): http://www.biblicalcatholic.com/apologetics/TrueStoryOfFatima-byJohnDeMarchi.pdf

P.S. CT readers may be astonished to learn that author Robert Sungenis, who co-wrote the excellent book in 2012 with John Salza, called ‘The Consecration of Russia – How Seven Popes Failed to Heed Heaven’s Command and Brought Turmoil to the Church and the World’ has now apparently completely reversed his views and has written a book saying the Consecration has been done. The Fatima Network recently reported on this. The response (which I have not yet had time to read) is spread over a few parts. https://fatima.org/news-views/fatima-not-yet-fulfilled-part1

      Westminster Fly,

Firstly, apologies for the fact that your post went into the admin file – for absolutely no good reason. WordPress can be a pain.

Secondly, some time ago, now, I emailed Robert Sungenis to ask if he would send me a copy of his new book for review purposes but I’ve had no reply. That doesn’t look good – or as they would say these days, the optics are not good 😀

Clearly, his thesis would not stand up to serious scrutiny. We know that, of course and obviously so does he know that… What could possibly have made him switch from being on the right side to being on the wrong side of such a crucial argument?

Diabolical disorientation at work again, perhaps? Well – if the Consecration was done in 1984 (coincidentally, the year I became a Catholic) then I haven’t noticed any period of world peace or Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary since then. Quite the opposite. It’s not often I agree with Pope Francis but even he said back in 2014 that the world was already in a state of piecemeal war: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-29190890 The irony is, he is the only one – with the bishops – who can consecrate Russia and bring in an era of world peace. It seems he prefers to continue the failed option of thinking world peace can be achieved by political means.

        Westminster Fly,

I’ve just read that article from One Peter Five and copied this:-

““What Our Lady wants is that the Pope and all the bishops in the world shall consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart on one special day. If this is done, she will convert Russia and there will be peace. If it is not done, the errors of Russia will spread through every country in the world.”

Since this pope is so fond of calling all the bishops to Rome for synods every five minutes, why doesn’t he do the consecration then? It would only take five minutes, as Fr Gruner (RIP) used to say.

The article then quoted Cardinal Bertone explaining that the reasons the consecration has not been done is to avoid offending the Russian Orthodox Church! That is to accuse Our Lady of being undiplomatic! LOL! Are these people for real?

Maybe the same question could be asked re Pope John XXIII. In 1959, he said (paraphrased) that we should accept Our Lady’s help. In 1960, after he read the Third Secret, he changed his mind. So it makes you wonder…

I would warmly encourage anyone to read ‘The Gulag Archipelago’. There’s a 2018 paperback edition with a foreword written by Jordan Peterson which is perceptive and compelling. I’ve recommended it to a young chap going to Uni this September. Together with Orwell’s ‘1984’ this book should be read and studied by all who dip their toes into higher education. They need the grace of our prayers to remain courageous and sane in the storm of today’s vile persecution of Christ’s followers.

The Protestant pastor in Canada who called the police who barged into his church nazis, gestapo, psychopaths, has been arrested and you can see him and hear him being interviewed here

I can’t see anywhere else to post this but since he is Polish and says (on another video) that he recognised what is going on as Communism because he lived through Communism in Poland, I think it fits this thread (I hope!)

If only we had the example of priests standing up in this way, how edifying would that be. As this pastor says, if we don’t have freedom to worship God, we have nothing.

I meant to say that the pastor was abused by the police and they would not allow him to take calls from his lawyers. This is what the Rebel News article which I posted at 8.01pm, says at the end:

“This was an interesting interview for a number of reasons. But the fact that police were abusing him, and stopping him from getting legal counsel is outrageous — and shows that this has never been about a pandemic.”

The whole interview is really interesting and it does show that what is going on has nothing to do with Covid.

The Church has done its best to bury Fatima. That is the only explanation behind the complete pigs ear it has made of its response to Our Lady.

I am confident 99.9% of Catholics today have never even heard of it and no doubt that situation has been deliberately engineered.

Growing up in the superficial modern Church, I vaguely knew about Lourdes – and more in terms of knowing sick people went there, rather than any details of the apparitions – but that was it.

Only in environments which are “traditional” – or at least sympathetic to tradition – do Catholics have any chance of learning about Fatima.

Most of the modern Catholics, mainly superficial, would run a mile if they were asked to pray the Rosary daily or attend mass on the first Saturday. I speak from experience, as upon coming to tradition (nearly 9 years ago now – wow), I was open mouthed at the suggestion of these things!

At the time, I genuinely thought people were crazy, to kneel down and pray for approx 15 whole minutes – which seemed like an age! And go to Mass on days other than Sunday? Speechless!

I was used to the easy-osy “social club” type Catholicism, which gives nothing to – and asks nothing from – the dwindling number of people who show up of a Sunday.

Nowadays, I understand the importance of the message and strive to follow it (not always very well, granted).

This is thanks to the clergy and lay people who preach about and promote Fatima, (including this very website!) I owe them a great debt! Thank you!

      Gabriel Syme,

I’m sure you are correct about the majority of modern(ist) Catholics knowing little to nothing about Fatima and that includes clergy. The idea is “out there” that it is a mere private revelation which we can take or leave as we please, yet even a cursory reading of the facts proves otherwise.

      Gabriel Syme,

I wonder if The Fatima Center keeps track, or is able to distinguish, how many Novus Ordo parishes and parishioners are on its mailing list. That would be an interesting way to sort the data!

My point being, those NO parishes/parishioners who receive Fatima Center materials have no excuse for being ignorant of the truth.

It’s because the devil fears it so much, he has tried to distract people’s attention with all sorts of other things. A religious order I have dealings with have ‘Divine Mercy’ devotions all the time in their chapel, and some of the priests have been to, and promote Medjugorje. Ask them to promote the Sacred Heart (Paray-le-Monial) and the Immaculate Heart (Fatima) and they don’t want to know.

      • editor

Assuming you’ve not tried this, I wonder if pointing out the contradiction to these religious would make them think? I’d be so tempted to ask them why they are so keen to promote those “devotions” (the first rehabilitated and the second unapproved) while Fatima has already two seers canonised and the other Cause on the way, and Sacred Heart seer long canonised, and the devotion well established and long approved – yet those are the ones they don’t want to know. I’d be telling them that I am puzzled and curious – but maybe you’ve tried that.

It is, of course, as you indicate, the diabolical disorientation in full view.

        May 11, 2021 at 10:32 am
      • westminsterfly

Oh yes, I’ve tried. They’re obsessed with novelty. It’s not just doubtful or false apparitions, some of them even meddle with charismatic type ‘healing Masses’ and I’ve seen protestant literature on how to run such events there. Also ‘ecumenical’ events, with non-Catholic ‘clergy’ in attendance. I can’t remember which Pope said it (St Pius X possibly?) but one Pope said words to the effect ‘far be from me priests who have a love of novelty’. They’re also papolatrists, which doesn’t help. And I’ve noticed they’re even a bit selective in their papolatry. They were a bit cool about Pope Benedict and certainly didn’t implement Summorum Pontificum, but they love Pope Francis. Says it all really.

Here’s yet more evidence of the diabolical disorientation at work – the Vatican trying to prevent the US Bishops from discussing the issue of Biden receiving Holy Communion. One Archbishop has been on television over there clearly explaining why Biden must not receive Communion, while another bishop contradicted him, saying that [to apply Canon Law] is to “weaponize the Eucharist.”

I don’t have time to search for this news and the videos which were posted on another thread, but, since it all boils down to the Fatima prophecy of a diabolical disorientation to come (which as arrived!) in the Church, I think this sorry development belongs on this thread anyway.

The tactics of the leftists are always the same, no matter clerical or secular: abuse authority to threaten subordinates who deviate from the Party Line.

On this side of the pond, the US Dept. of Justice (now the US Dept. of IN-justice, making a mockery of itself and adopting police state tactics along with their enforcement thugs at the FBI) is trying to squash the Maricopa County, Arizona audit of the election results.

The good thing about it is that their scrambling means that the seekers after truth are right over the target…clerical as well as secular…

This is an interesting report about the Cause for Sister Lucia – notice the part that explains the length of time this process is taking. The postulator says canonisation is so important, it cannot be rushed! How she can say this with a straight face after all the rushed canonisations in recent years, is unbelievable! I think politicians and church-people rely on the rest of us having bad memories, LOL!

Very nice videos here and the ones on the Fatima prophecies, too. (I had to quarantine some viruses on my computer for the past two weeks.)

I don’t want to argue, but I am confused why Sister Lucia in 1989 and 1990 said JP II’s 1984 consecration of the world and Russia fulfilled the specific command for the consecration of Russia? More importantly why the popes have never specifically fulfilled the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart, but have consecrated the whole world?

Sister Lucia has never once said that the consecration has been done. She said consistently that Our Lady wanted the Consecration done by the Pope and all the Bishops in union with him, at the same time etc. Pope John Paul II himself admitted this has not been done.

We know that there was tremendous pressure placed on Sister Lucia to confirm the Vatican version of things. She has never done so. Every authentic statement from Sister Lucia repeats the request from Our Lady about the manner of the Consecration, and during her lifetime she consistently stated that it has not been done.

I suggest that you don’t spend time on this – there are so many “false friends of Fatima” – as they’re rightly known – pushing the lie that the Consecration has been done that you would be wasting precious time.

If you can find evidence of the promised (by Our Lady) period of peace in the world, which is to follow the Consecration of Russia, then you would have some basis for believing those false friends of Fatima but until then… we pray for a Pope who will fulfil God’s will in this matter.
