Bad Bishops Praise & Promote Bad Priests – Good Priests “Cancelled”… Pray, Pray, Pray, Pray, Pray!

From the YouTube platform:

Dr. Taylor Marshall interviews Father James Altman about the recent decree by his bishop restricting his ministry as a Catholic priest. What was his “crime”? What recourse does he have? What’s his next step moving forward? Join us live. We make take some live questions along the way from the audience.

Comment:

As we are faced with shocking scandals day after day, where bishops do nothing to discipline unfaithful priest like Fr James Martin (lauded by the Pope himself!) the above interview is very edifying. It’s much longer than we usually post, and I haven’t yet seen it all the way through myself, but what I have seen and heard is very edifying.  So, enjoy…

ED without a doubt if we were not in Schism then we’re heading that way . I also will watch the Video later but like yourself and all on Here I have been following the Fr Altman Sacking with disgust. Everyone I would say also on Here knows this has come straight from The Godfather Himself. His words to Bishop Callahan ” Either that Priest goes or your Evicted from your Mansion “. As you also more or less say .Its not the Priests like Jimmy Martin or Cardinals like the Horrible McCarrick or the 100s of Other so called Catholic Clergymen who [abused] mostly Young Boys who are sacked. No it’s the Faithful Catholic Priests and the Likes of Cardinal Pell who are Ejected and Rejected as so called Rigid. BTW I now know what that means as it was Perfectly explained to me in the Awful Tablet. It says we Live in Changing Times where the Holy Spirit is leading Francis into Sinodality ( I think av spelt it correctly) in Changing Our Catholic Church.

So we are now at the Turning Point it’s either Jesus Christ True God and True Man who we follow or it’s this Terrible Pope who we have prayed for His conversion to Catholicism but His Pride , His Ego and God Forbid Sexual Orientation which is now Questionable will not let Him see Truth. Going back to Fr Altman his Bishop’s excuse for sacking Him was really deplorable. Especially when Callahan said that Fr Altman wasn’t effective. My God the Man transformed His Parish and He done probably more good on the Money Front than probably any other Priest in the U.S.A. Agh but one must not tell the Truth and we know his Truthful Comments about useless Democrat Leaders didn’t sit well with the Godfather.

      FOOF,

The Pope won’t have had anything to do with Fr Altman’s removal. His predecessors, Popes John XIII, Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI – yes. Their lax governance and the errors each of them perpetrated, has led to this mistreatment of faithful priests. ~The work is done. Francis can relax.

I have now watched the entire interview and it is beautiful. Edifying and very moving at times.

I recommend everyone make the time to watch. I know it’s long but well worth every minute.

At one time, and I think I even said on here, I was a bit unsure of Father Altman, wondering about his apparent grinning/smirking – not any more. He’s clearly a very humble priest. God bless his tartan socks – and if he doesn’t have tartan socks, I’m sure you, FOOF, will send him a pair 😀

Av not got Tartan Socks but I have got Holy Socks not in the Kind where the 2 Get confused as in the Sketch about the Fork Andles . Although in saying that I certainly have Holey Socks also ,darn, it . Well we used to Darn them remember those days ED when NOTHING was wasted and We didn’t need someone like Nippy to tell us of waste . We also didn’t need someone from Rome tell us about Polar Bears or Penguins either. My God HOW did we manage to live in those Days when School Holiday days were far too short. I can Never ( although I stand to be corrected ) remember myself or any of my friends say they were Bored which is the Young ones Battle Cry nowadays.
As for Fr Altman one thing is ,He is a Priest of Melchizedek of Old ,their is no Bending with Him he is certainly Rigid. We all know that all is not good on The Health Front in Rome and maybe just maybe Francis will Convert to the True Faith for as in many experiences their is nothing like Suffering to bring one to heel. Myself I know being a perfect example .

This situation reminds me of when the High Priest Caiphas, unable to get his fake witnesses to agree, finally demanded this of Our Lord:

“I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us if thou be the Christ the Son of God.”

Our Lord’s response was to tell the truth. Result? He was determined to be “guilty of death.”

Similarly, Fr. Altman has been found guilty of telling the truth, and is now in limbo. One interesting sidebar: this bishop was appointed in 2011 – that is, by the allegedly wonderful Pope Benedict XVI. Another complete flop and failure on his part.

      RCA Victor,

Yes, Papa Benedict did his fair share of aiding and abetting the crisis in the Church – and that for many years before he became pope.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m not looking forward to my own judgment but the General Judgement will be more than a little interesting methinks…

In the video interview, towards the end, Taylor Marshall makes a very insightful remark about why Our Lady asked for the daily rosary and not Holy Mass. I’d sometimes wondered that myself, but – in all honesty – did not, at any point, come up with his thoughtful opinion on the matter.

I am now officially jealous of Taylor Marshall…

    N O T I C E . . .

You may remember that I posted a request for prayers on another thread, following news of our former blogger, Christina, whose son, Andrew, was, at that time very ill.

Athanasius has been very good at keeping in touch with Christina and he emailed as follows, this evening…

I’ve just been speaking with Christina on the phone and she informed me that her son Andrew died in hospital on Sunday. He was put on a ventilator following his heart attack but never recovered any brain activity.

Christina is quite anxious that we ask bloggers on CT to pray for his soul and I told her that you would do this as you had asked me to keep you updated on the situation. She’s very pleased about that. His funeral will be in Edinburgh next week but Christina is not in good health right now and may not be able to make it up there, God love her. It’s a terrible time for her just now so maybe we could also ask for prayers for her. Ends.

If you recall, in my original notice I mentioned that Christina was very upset because Andrew had been lapsed – our hopes and prayers are for his reconciliation at the end. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace. Amen.

Send Christina this: It will give her comfort and hope: http://papastronsay.blogspot.com/2011/10/text-of-letter-prophesied-to-father.html

        WF,

That’s very kind. Unfortunately, Christina had to come off the mailing list because her eyesight is so poor that she cannot read it any more. However, that account – and others like it from great saints – will be known to her and she will, I have no doubt, take great comfort in them.

Dear Editor, please assure Christina of my prayers for her son and for her. In fact she has been in my prayers since she first became ill. I do believe a mother’s prayers are very powerful. My brother lapsed but returned to the church on his death bed. Aged 43. This was a great consolation to my mother. So Christine must put her trust in the mercy of God.

I don’t think there’s any need to go into any great detail about the action of Fr. Altman’s bishop – it’s simply an evil act by an evil man. When bishops suspend priests unjustly for speaking the truth then you know you’re dealing not with one who misunderstands but rather a wicked individual abusing the authority of his sacred office. I would not want to be in that bishop’s shoes at the judgement, that’s for sure.

      Athanasius,

This first video is a recording of calls made by laity to the Bishop – it was set up by someone who wanted to publicize the fact that people were calling the Bishop. I’ve not listened right through but there’s definitely one man early on, who mirrors your comment.

This second video is a short report by Church Militant, of which I’m no fan but this is a good report, in which the Bishop defends himself… As you say, who would want to be in that bishop’s shoes at the judgment.

Many thanks for those videos, which I will listen to shortly. In the meantime, here’s a report in LSN of a priest in Wisconsin defending Fr. Altman in his homily:

    https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/priest-defends-fr-altman-john-the-baptist-and-our-lord-also-stood-up-to-the-hierarchy-of-their-time

These evil shepherds, the pro-abort, pro-LGBT bishops are being drawn out into the light so that all can see that they serve Lucifer. We really could be doing with a strong statement from the SSPX hierarchy against them and what they’re doing to Fr. Altman and other faithful priests.

      Athanasius,

I sometimes get the impression, though I’ve never seen or heard it explicitly, that the SSPX hierarchy has decided to let the human element of the Church collapse under the weight of its own lies, rather than try to intervene.

I would love to think that was their motivation, though it would still represent a failure in their confirmation duty to oppose error and dangers to the faith. Besides that, if indeed they had gone down that route then they picked the worst Pontificate in the history of the Church as their starting point. No, I think it far more likely that the relative silence these days is driven more by a desire to appease.

    N O T I C E …

Those of you have have read the July newsletter will have seen the Feature Letter from Patricia Baxter in Manchester asking prayers for her husband who had been diagnosed with lung cancer (never having smoked) and told that he would not see the year out. I replied by promising our prayers and a TLMass offered by Father Stephen Dunn, on Corpus Christi, 3rd June.

I’ve had a letter this morning from Patricia to say that John “went to the Lord” on 9th June.

Please remember to pray for the repose of John’s soul, and for the consolation his widow, Patricia.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace, Amen.

Our Lady of Consolation, Comforter of the afflicted, pray for Patricia.

I will certainly remember John in my prayers, and also his wife, Patricia. God rest his soul.

I was thinking that it would be great to send a letter to the address given on the CM video, to invite Fr Altman to Scotland but I’m totally out of touch with the rules in place about travel and numbers permitted to – if we are permitted to – meet together in any public venue, assuming said public venue is available. Then, all of the above being permitted, what about accommodation? Would we have to (be able to) find a hotel to accommodate him, or do we have someone reading this with accommodation large enough to allow him a short stay in reasonable comfort. Does any such person exist, who is not a Covid-believer, and who wouldn’t demand he wear a mask?!

    Talk about tangled web.

Still, on reflection, there’s nothing to stop us sending the invitation and leaving the outcome to Divine Providence. Let’s do it!

I would leave well alone on that front right now given the way our governments keep moving the scamdemic goalposts.

        Athanasius,

I’ve not explained my point clearly at all – if you remember, the CM video explained that every single letter received by post, will be taken by Fr Altman’s canon lawyer to Rome as evidence that he is not as he is being painted by his enemies. If they can show a letter of invitation to address a meeting in Scotland, when, of course, the travel etc restrictions are lifted (probably never) that just might help. That’s what I mean – there’s little chance, unfortunately, of it happening but that’s not our fault. Though it is, probably, mine – I get blamed for everything else, so why not Covid? 😀

Just watched this great video. It confirms what we all know – that the hierarchy has largely been infiltrated by homosexuals or those that while not homosexual themselves, are too cowardly to tell the truth.

No, I meant, just watched the great video at the beginning of this thread – Taylor Marshall and Fr Altman.
